Haha... But, regardless of how this challenge works out, do either of us really win? I make myself feel better in two ways: First, my wife tells me she loves me and that she still thinks I look good. Since that is what really matters, I feel a little less sad. Second, I keep reminding myself how much more I do now than when I was young. I bet you got all that going for you too and, oh yeah, you make dope ass beats too! Happy MLK Day Zach! Btw: Patrick Morriss inspired me to create a tradition for MLK day each year (he has his own and I've adapted his idea for myself). I read or listen to the following two resources: King's :Letter from Birmingham Jail: letterfromjail.com/ (Patrick does this, I think: this is my second year in a row reading the whole thing and I want to read it a few more times before I decide to replace this one with different reading from the MLK library) Malcolm X's Speech "The Ballot or the Bullet": cmsw.mit.edu/angles/2021/the-ballot-or-the-bullet/ When I was in high school, I read Malcolm X's autobiography three times before I graduated. I so appreciated his strength, courage, and his willingness to redefine his identity based on his new learning. He reminds me of what I later learned was called the Inductive Attitude: thelearningcode.school.blog/2022/01/02/what-is-the-inductive-attitude/ Sending you love today and I hope you have time off for self-care, family, and great memories.
