You are both a great teacher and a great player! Your trem work is second to none, always been one of my strong suits as well due to years playing in metalcore / deathcore bands in the old days. Came here to find some chord inspiration for a new one-man project, stayed for the excellent content!!!

Exactly! I'm in the same position, and his lessons are some of the best as far as "meditative internalizing" concerned. I'm not even that big on black metal, but the concepts involved are great for breaking your fingers out of whatever box they're in.

As a guitarist that has forgotten almost all the theory I learned back in the day, I just wanted to say thank you for the video- it really helps! I, like tons of other players, found myself in a bit of a rut with everything sounding the same that I’d come up with so I decided it was the perfect time to review some theory. Do you have any suggestions for exercises or scales to work on to better improve lead playing? As a bassist that picked up the guitar afterwards, I’ve always found this huge roadblock playing leads!
