Its easy to see that the music books usually are not accurate you can play a basic version of Beatles songs using standard chords but under the surface theres lots more going on. These guys re create every last note of Beatles songs, wonderful stuff.

Written in 1962 by Richard Drapkin using the name Ricky Dee. This song was originally recorded by an African-American girl group called The Donays in 1962. It was a B-side. The A-side was a Larry Williams song 'Bad Boy' also covered by The Beatles. You could definitely assume that John or Paul had gotten a hold of that 45. There is a little embellishment missing from the lead guitar (George). Just about every time he hits G chord, he shifts quickly between G and C(3rd fret). I am almost sure its not even C, but rather, C6, simply by making a pinky bar on the 5th fret.

Carlos Jaen - wow, you are right. I did miss that. I actually think its the John part that should be doing it. George saves his volume mostly for the lead licks and John plays the beat, which I believe includes the part you are talking about. I think its similar to Chains, where John does most of the busy guitar parts. Also, it makes sense for John to do it since the G lands where George is singing his solo bits

@@AblyHouse Exactly, Ably, it is the same trick used in Chains. One guitar stays firmly in G and the other one shifts between G and C6. Technically it is not a change of chord, since the bass does not observe it.

Carlos Jaen - Right, which technically makes it a slash chord C6/G. For anyone else reading this thats confused, the C6 happens over the G chord on the ‘and’ of beat 2 and 4. Making it a quick off beat IV chord over the I. Thanks for bringing this up, I’ll need to make a list of things to fix in older videos haha

Justin Cramer - it’s made by trophy guitar straps. I think that strap Is George’s - Beatles did a lot of strap swapping over the years. The strap that is on Lennon’s Orange Gretsch in 66 is the same one Paul is using on his Ric in the Hello Goodbye video.

I have some unreleased stuff with it from the 67-68 era. We have Martha My Dear and Getting Better started with that one. Not much else though, when I borrowed that guitar from Young's Vlogs, I also had his Rickenbacker 325 and I focused mostly on filming that guitar.

Hi Ably. Nice track, one of the most underrated covers made by the beatles. May I ask you something: the rickenbaker guitar that you use, is it replica or not?. 'cause i wanna get one but seeing so many beatle tribute bands nowadays i'm just wondering if they're playing a real rickenbacker or not, besides i have no idea at all if a replica would be a good option in terms of sound mainly, compared with the original one. roan46 - Thank you and Happy New Year! You will spend a fortune trying to buy all the Beatles instruments. Many top bands have real Rick 325s ranging from different years and price. The closer you get to the right year and model, the better things will sound but the more you will pay. The Rick 325 in the video is a vintage one that I borrowed for a month and recorded as many songs as I could before returning it. Most of the main beatle instruments cost between $1500-3000. I would recommend starting with a cheaper replica. The instruments can pay for themselves if you get good
