i wudnt be surprised if he did it just to keep his bloodline going and for nothing more...knowing vergil he seems incapable of emotions but at one time he did love his mother which is why he began to seek power in the first place "without power you can't hope to protect anything" - Vergil to Dante in DMC 3 during during the battle on top of the Teminigru.

Decided to get the special edition after going through the bayonetta series on all modes and several other beatemups. First dmc game for me. Got through Human, the mode after that, Son of Sparda, and goin through Heaven and Hell now. Played aagainst Berial in DMD and dodging seems weird. Should sidestepping for this game's bosses be like Dark Souls (EXTREMELY precise) or just a tad off? I have a hard time dodging Berial's swing after blocking and his heat wave attack.

Tyler Spikes His two main swings is a ground sweep (roll inwards or jump up slightly). The other is the one where he flips around (diagonal and hits you in the air, either drop down or roll to the left)

I think Nero always had the devil bringer power inside of him, it just awakened when he needed its power to protect kyrie and he gained his devil trigger ability much like Dante did in DMC 3 after facing defeat and ironically after being pierced by Yamato. Also in the 1st encounter between Nero and Datne Dante's devil trigger started to react. And the most obvious point...how do you explain the resemblence? You cant tell me that Nero doesnt bear some resemblence to a younger Vergil or Dante...
