1.) Arkham was not a demon, he was a human that sacrificed his wife in order to attain the power of a demon. 2.) To those who say Vergil died, he left nothing besides the amulet given to him but we see nothing else left behind after being defeated. 3.) The reason why Nero's arm was ripped off was likely because if you remember in DMC4 Yamato was hidden within his Devil Bringer. Unless it's someone from the Order of the Sword there is no way it can't be Vergil.

Dwayne Brown I think Vergil never died because he disappears when Dante fought him unmasked/nelo form in DMC , but also he does so two times in the first and second encounter with Dante so that’s that ... I think maybe the purpose of him returning is to fight that new villain and gain his powers and help ending demons from our world and he cuts Nero’s arm to reclaim his sword because you know he’s not the please give it back type lol anyways I also can’t wait to play this game I watched the trailer like 1000 times already :D

I think Vergil takes Nero’s arm to turn it back into the Yamato and goes to the demon world to try resurrecting the Demon world once again to obtain Power. Hence the DMC5 story starts. This my theory since demons are invading yet again. This makes the most sense

If you slow down the DMC5 trailer and increase constrast a bit you can see the figure that took neros arm was wearing vergil's clothing. My theory is that, the figure is actually nero's mom who prob only went with vergil to get power but when vergil learnt she was pregnant he bailed. After she learnt that nero recovered the yamato her thirst for power only increases. As she is so obsessed with vergil she wore his clothing and went after nero.

Great video as usual, regarding the theory about Vergil in DMC 5, I think it goes some way like this. Yamato was store inside the Devil Bringer at the end of DMC 4 if you remember. Now Vergil somehow has survived his "death" in DMC 1 as Nelo Angelo. So now, to bring back his full power, he'll need whatever power is stored inside Devil Bringer and Yamato. I also think that Vergil conceived Nero not only to show the Order of the Sword the power of a real Son of Sparda but also as a contingency plan if something should go wrong during his search for power.

Idk if anyone remembers but in the end of DMC 4, Nero accidentally absorbs Yamato into his demon arm. Which could be why Virgil would want to cut it off: to get his old sword back.
