When you reviewed the DV1 the first time I was an apprentice for a few months who was considering what my first gun would be. It convinced me to order one and several years later it's remained my personal favorite, a year and a half later I took over the paint department at my shop with two booths to myself. What a journey and helpful you are and have been, love the content

Ive tested switching air caps . 1 intresting thing to note is the clear dv1 tip sticls out further . I have both guns and found that interesting

All these years later and the DV1 is still my favorite basecoat gun...like you said "effortless".

Hey Gunny, can you make a video about basecoat on bumpers? Should the basecoat be activated or not, plasticiser additive? What about clear? Many thanks!

I really like my DV1 guns I've had them a few years now and they have been spot on with no issues at all, I'm now waiting for the day when the battery goes on them as they are both digital but you can't fault the finish they put out. I have a few clear guns but only one basecoat gun as I've never needed anything else other than the DV1 for base👌🙏👍John UK.

I just bought a DV1` with the digital pressure gauge.....you can NOT replace the battery according to the manual , you have to replace the entire gauge as a unit. I love the gun though!

The battery is not a replaceable battery like Sata or Sagola. You have to replace the entire guage.

Put the base cap on the black clear dv1 it really sprays nice just a lil slow

Love my Dv1 even though the digital gauge went out after a year. Batteries aren’t replaceable, you need a whole new gauge.

If I wanted to spray house of kolor with flakes in it, would a 1.3 DV1 be ideal or is there a better sprayer that you’d recommend?
@reyjr3608 Жыл бұрын
1:01 may i ask,would you recommend to use the same setup on dv1 1.2 b+? On spraying solvent base and clear? Thanks gunny😄👍
@AGRB410 ай бұрын
The caps amd nozzles from base to clear are not identical. The nozzle will sit slightly different if you dont use the corresponding cap. I.e. base nozzle and clear cap.

Whats the difference between a base coat gun and a clear coat gun?
@TheGunmanChannel Жыл бұрын
Not much generally, in fact, as I showed in this video you can use the gun for both

Nice Re Review ! But at the end of the day, high end guns makes around 15-20% max better finish than the average low budget ones, painters like you makes all the difference ! 🙂

Hello Gunny. When would (you) use B vs B+ cap?
@TheGunmanChannel Жыл бұрын
I don't think you should ever use the B cap, B+ all day every day. B is more like a standard HVLP cap and I don't like or recommend HVLP.

I've wondered what the dv1 would be like in base , the clear version is great , but slow imo (or likes thinner materials at least) . Have you tried the (devilbiss) advance hd? , I have one in pressure fed (1.2 tip , 510+ cap) and it's a monster!
