That's a Charvel, and it's called Purple Burst, actually my favorite from the Jake's signature models. Gorgeous guitar, Charvel is supposed to put out the newer edition when and if Jake gets out of hiding again. They already put out the new version of the Blue Burst signature around 2018 when Jake's band Red Dragon Cartel put out their latest record Patina.

I had the honor of driving ray to rehearsal when he was in rondinelli right before before badlands. ...2x 3x a week he came in from jersey on the Train...I was close with the rondos.....if ray lived he would have gone down as one of the best.....and he is to a select few ...like me who saw him do it live every week full on monster even at rehearsal....he was a great dude to know as an aspiring 16-17 year old guitarist....jammed with him when teddy rondinelli took a break ..badlands were great and I love jake.....but seriously...u should have heard him with rondinelli..best band that nobody except us in the ny area saw.....ray made a hasty choice left and joined sabbath for 3-5 months then to badlands..he alays told me that it was sabbath that made him want be a musician .so i understood it....but it sucked he left when he did....rondinelli was months away from a major deal if not weeks...youTube might have rondinelli album with ray...look it up..they were going to blow up big time if ray stayed just a ltitle longer.....but I was very proud to see he got acclaim for his talent before he passed...whole situation still makes me feel terrible....but soon as I hear his voice I will always remember him belting it out during those rehearsals and the fun banter and joking around before and after... it was 1984-85 long island ny.....good times.

Badlands was a band founded by former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Jake E. Lee and former Black Sabbath members Ray Gillen and Eric Singer. Badlands also featured bassist Greg Chaisson. Badlands were from California and played Hard Rock, Blues Rock, and Glam Rock. After the first Badlands album, Singer was replaced by Jeff Martin. Badlands lasted from 1988 to 1993 and Gillen died in 1993 which ended any hopes of reuniting the project, he had left in 1991, they had a replacement John West, but decided to end the band after his death anyway. They Rock Pretty Hard and Talented Never Dies and Neither does Rock'N'Roll!🖤🎸🖤🤘🏻😈

Not only did I hear him rehearse full volume and on fire at the space but this 16yr old who just got his license already always had some good green. I would light up and share with him...he would sing to the tunes on the radio and slay them all. RIP Ray.
