I love the characterisation of Karen here. Anyone who's held a job for an extended period of time knows that you just start becoming apathetic towards it. You care enough that you want to keep your job, but all the thrill and nuance dies out after a while, which this episode shows really well. I'm guessing that she lost her other jobs too, maybe due to customer complaints. It's also nice to see (part of) her family life. We got a tease in the Laundry episode, where Karen said she had 1000 kids, and while we see only 3 here, it's still enough to get a good idea of her home life. (Also, while others say she was exaggerating, or that it got retconned, my headcanon is that her 997 other kids have all grown up and moved out elsewhere.) I like that Karen supported Luigi, but also let him handle it himself. That's some good mentoring. I will say though, she seems to prefer to more mundane roles, given that she accepted a $1 per hour cleaning job. Elsie Lovelock does a really good job voicing Karen. She sounds very similar to the voice actress for fem-scout.
