Hey Moss, I am new to the devops profile in my company. I was a functional tester before and i recently got shifted to integration. I voluntarily chose to shift to devops because of the learning opportunities i'll be getting, but now as I see so many tools I have to work with, and i have to get them work simultaneously, i and getting overwhelmed, as how should I get them working. To get all the Portals and tools working together( like Gitlab, openshift, jfrog, sonarqube, docker ) is giving me a hard time, and over that, reading and understanding the yaml Linux files is also a difficult task. Recently I was asked to check the where all the variables are stored in our gitlab services, and when I checked them in cicd setting of that project, they were not there and i was kind of hopeless as "ok,now what should I do"😅. Could you please help me and guide me on how I should learn all these platforms/portals and get them working simultaneously . Thanks in advance 🙏

Hey! Thanks for your comment. I also feel overwhelmed by the amount of tooling available. A technique that I use and that you can as well is called "Just In Time Learning". This is where you only learn a new tool or concept when you can immediately apply it. There's no way we can keep all this information in our head at once, so you have to learn to ingest information only when relevant and needed to complete the next task at hand. Also, utilizing ChatGPT can help you quickly source information needed to learn a topic!

nodeport was not secure, it exposes the service on all nodes in the cluster.
