I bought this Saw a few years ago when it first came out and Ive used it practically everyday since and it's still going strong , Ive dropped it off ladders and even down a set of stairs and no problems, its an Awesome Saw and I would Highly recommend it , you can't beat it especially for the Price .... 👍🖖

I just bought this saw at Home Depot, it didn’t come with the T bar, I bought 2 blades at the same time, a framing blade & a fine finish blade. The blade with the saw was a 24T. I only wanted to cut up some old pickets & my saw saw was getting too heavy. This will come in handy for smaller wood cutting.

Hey I just got it too! Wanted it for my 2x4 projects, I don’t have a circ saw. Never had one, plan to one day but I got a small workbench and a passion to build something. Wanted to keep it compact, as I’m in a townhouse. Maybe a miter saw would’ve been better but go no room.

Ty 4 making this video possible. I will buy one of these, DeWalt 4 1/2" portable saws based on your video. Thank you.

I bought one and love it. We used to keep a 6 and 1/2 in in the tool trailer, the 20 volt one. We took it out. Now we just have the 60 volt worm drive and the four and a half. We call it the turkey saw.

Yah I’ve herd people call it that I’ll have to adopt that name ha.

Thank you! I'm just getting started with tools and DIY with ambitious plans. I didn't know what the T-bar was for and this video was very helpful just to see ways to use it.

I have this saw. I love it. I still have the blade that came with it but there is not a lot of blade options in my country for this sadly

I have the same issue in the UK
@carlosdgutierrez65709 ай бұрын
There are a lot of blade options in Amazon, I have a similar blade from a national brand from my country and I have several discs with 24 and 60 teeth plus one to cut tiles, important to me since we build homes with masonry rather than wood over here.

Just for comparison and no disrespect, I purchased a Harbor Freight Bauer CORDED saw just like this. It works great and I'm really putting it to the test. I prefer corded tools to get the constant full power. I noticed most people in videos are not using battery tools in remote places. I guess wrapping up an extension cord has become too much of a hassle.
@kinfolk_carpentry3 ай бұрын
Your right ! I’d say 75% of the time it wouldn’t be a hassle but it in on a roof or a jobsite with one temp outlet on each floor . I also view it as a business owner where time and efficiency is money it certainly adds up when all your tools are cordless not having to drag a cord around , plug and unplug stuff when you have lots of tools out. When I was an employee getting paid by the hour most of my tools were corded .

Does the depth plate move on your saw? I just bought this saw and my plate seems to move around a little when locked down.
@kinfolk_carpentry6 ай бұрын
Mine seems to lock in tight you could try tightening the nut that holds that lever in place
@Fishhawk3576 ай бұрын
It’s not the lever, it’s the attachment that connects the plate to the depth guide. Seems as thought there is only one rivet holding it to the plate. I’m going to look a little closer and make sure there isn’t a weld missing or something,

so, this not ideal for cutting 2x4's? Thank you!

I use it to cut the odd 2x4 here and there but there are better saws for cutting framing lumber

Can cut tiles, mozek, marble?
@kinfolk_carpentry10 ай бұрын
I’m sure it would if you put the right blade in it . I’m not sure it would be any better than a grinder
@carlosdgutierrez65709 ай бұрын
I have used a similar one from a different brand, I mean the same blade diameter and power to cut tiles with a disc for ceramics that I bought on Amazon.
@achitt22607 ай бұрын

I don’t think I would use this for melamine it would certainly cut it but I think you would get some tear out I would probably use a track saw for that
