I recommend using the drain at the bottom of the tank after you’re done using the compressor. As you compress air in the tank, water vapor will be squeezed out of the air and sit in the tank. If you drain the compressor after each use, it will help to avoid rusting the tank. I did this with my Sears 20 gallon compressor and it was still good after 20 years. Thank you for an excellent product review. Ride Safe.

Perfect timing, I'm in the market for a compressor. I'll be considering this one.

Looked at many when my old old Prorter Cable died. After much review I settled on a selection from Harbor Freight. I look there for comparison and pricing and have found their products to be much cheaper and basically the same capabilities. Seems most similar items are made in the same place and just rebranded. They have coupons and so I picked up a 6 gallon two hose compressor for a buck thirty nine. I use some air tools and so I can have tow recoil hoses attached. The unit is more than needed but works well with air grinders, nail guns , etc, and of course tire inflation.

Morning ! yes them little compressors are kinda nice for tire application, I was surprised of the low noise tho. Myself I got me a Makita Mac 5200 last year, I like oil base compressors, they seem to last longer. I also got a 20 gallon compressor which I purchased at a garage sale, it didn't work...hence the $5 price but, I really wanted it for the tank which I fitted in line with the Makita for more volume. I really like the set up ! Thanks for the vid, be well !

I had a bad power switch in mine after a year of use. Found the power switch online about 8years later when I finally got around to fixing it.

I got a Craftsman6 gallon compressor this year.. I had been using the cheap digital ones, but the software on those digital models drove me crazy.. half the time they would not work. Its much easier for the tires on my bike.. So many options..

Quieter, but still an annoying buzzzzzzz. Diaphram compressors just do that. You can get a moisture seperator to go inline to prevent water in your paint or tools; but the drain at the bottom is mostly used to purge water that would corrode the tank and eventually create a BOMB. My location is very humid and opening that valve is very important to prevent rusted out tank.

Uh @4:58 moisture in the tires?? That isn't an issue at all lol. Moisture left in the tank will cause rust, and essentially, a pipe bomb...

I was kinda hoping you'd show airing up a car tire. The bike didn't take long at all but, IF my math is correct, it could take 30-45 minutes to bring a flat 16" tire up to 35psi. I really want this one for the small form factor but also need it to inflate my 16" tires - if i walk out one day and find one flat. Can you please help ease my mind about this? Thanks
Thanks. This would be very handy to have. Kind of agree a battery powered one could be convenient. Guess it depends on price difference. You just keep me spending more and more money. My wife hates when I watch your videos.

The cordless ones are quite a bit more expensive. Tell your wife I SAVED you money!

Hi; just the vid i was looking for. Would you say that small units like this are better or worse in collecting condensate? As well as for the needs/use cases you mentioned, i would want to blow the dust out of my PC with it - and can't have and water coming out with the air. Just drain it often? Thought i'd ask. Take care

Hello rookie question! If you unplug it, will the tank keep feeding the same pressure?

Good compressor, terrible design on the aluminum manifold that is used for the gauges, regulator and hose connectors under the front panel. When it fails the regulator is built into the manifold and the only source for replacement parts is Dewalt. A white powder will built up inside and make the regulator either leak or simply not work at all. In my case, it was cheaper to buy a normal regulator and use fittings and the old gauges and hose connectors to make a new manifold. it went back in and everything is located at the same place.

don't plan on using this for a lift, it's too small. i use a 6 gal pancake for my bike lift and it still takes 2 minutes to raise it with a 700 lb bike on it.

I love this air compressor. It runs off my stock 120v inverter on my Tacoma, which allows for airing up at the beach. I've done a ton of trim work with it. My only complaint: the jerk engineers did not put the fuse in an accessible place. It's inside the housing behind the motor with no access port
