The show runner said if it's successful he would like to do more seasons. The only thing is i hope they cool it on the retcons but unless they can think of something very clever retcons might be inevitable.

Perhaps…I took notice of the guy as well. He has the same kind of hair Brian would and the attire is similar to how he dresses (albeit brighter colors in this instance). Walking up after Dexter sits down and the subtle smile COULD hint at it being him… Brian was released from the psychiatric hospital around Dexter’s age but he’s older than he is so he should have been out for a few years now. It could be he’s just watching him from the afar and took this chance to maybe meet him but he quickly disappears after Dexter claims he’s saving the seats for his friends. Dexter hasn’t started chopping up bodies yet like Brian would so if this IS him it’s possible he will witness one of Dexter’s first Bay Harbor style kills and emulate that but they’re not supposed to meet officially for another 15 years…

This is almost even better than the original Dexter series. The music really gives a 90's vibe. I first hated the Deb character because she isn't tall and thin like the original Debra. But she is starting to grow on me "fuckausorus rex" that one I am even throwing into my own speech right now. Most people are talking about Batista being accurate. But really masuka is just like it is the original actor playing that role just with hair.

This Dexter looks pretty amateur killer, like it should be. The way he blacked out the moneylender was pretty messy. And the way he's disposing of the bodies isn't good either. It's very easy for someone to find some body parts. 😂😂😂 The show is looking good so far 👍👍👍

The new show is good but there’s problems. Where’s Matthews? He was Harry’s best friend and partner. Also, Deb is too high strung. In the original flashbacks on Dexter, Deb was in awe of Harry and respected him. She would cuss around her friends but not Harry. It might work though because Slater’s version of Harry is more beta than Remar’s version of Harry. Also, I hope Masuka’s laughing isn’t overdone. It was not used all of the time in the original Dexter which made you like it when it did happen. I would say 7/10 so far. 💯💯

When producers/networks do that, I usually get involved with another show and forget about the show I wanted to watch. Loving the show but the whole thing of constructing a plan to get Dexter the earrings back was a bit off. All Deb had to say to her friend was Dexter bought them for mothers day before their mom died and he really needs them back. She would've had no issue handing back free cheap ass earrings she only had for a day or 2. But anyway.

@Luka77-8 that's fine, i didn't need to watch carefully to know that, but logically Dexter should've pushed Deb to tell her that instead of giving in so easily. Especially when getting the earrings back was of far more importance to him than being a pawn in Deb's setup game. Being manipulated into a run around to get them back just seemed unbelievable when he had a plausible story for having them and the fact Deb stole them from his room for no explainable reason. He could've even told her directly he bought them for his mother before she died and she would've given them to him. Wasn't a plausible plot line to me.
