I also have the paperwork from Baldwin Chevrolet and Motion performanxe and MR Rossen certified my car. Im also the second owner. I purchased mine when i was 16.

Hey vhp454, have you ever got the car Dyno'd, or the 1/4 mile? I just took receipt of my 70 Z28 LS7 after a 2-year project completion. I am blown away by how the car in second gear will break traction under Full Throttle with 275's on the rear end. The LS7 has significantly more power play L88.

That is one very special car.I've owned 5 1967-8 big block RS/SS Camaros and I'm partial to them.I sold my last one in 1989 and now really regret it...A very stout Camaro(11.51@117mph) but not quite like the one you're riding in.Your friend is a fortunate man to have kept it through the years. Passed back in 80's on few 66-67 chevelles too back then didnt like fact couldnt fit wide tires under them. Man wish I had a do over on the chance now!

I’m not really a fan of the 67-68, but I would make an exception for this one, beautiful machine. I have owned many muscle cars, 2 of them were 69 Yenko Camaro’s, but I always wanted a Motion car, I noticed when you opened the passenger door, it has the full frame extensions installed. My ultimate would be a 69 Motion Nova, I don’t know if they ever produced any, I tried for a Yenko Nova in 69, but none were available at the time. About a month after I took delivery of my Camaro, a Rally Green Yenko Nova was delivered to another street racer from my area, I was envious! LOL Keep finding these old beasts, it makes us dinosaurs feel young again! LOL 😂 👍

My brother Lou at 21 yrs old bought a brand new dark green 68 Camaro RS SS with hounds tooth interior, 375 horse 396 with factory aluminum heads. It had every option except auto trans. The dealer installed a Sun tach, headers, Mallory ign. Holley 3 barrel carb, fuel cool can, traction bars and slicks. I was 11 yrs old. It sucked a valve twice. Before the 68 Camaro he had a new black 67 Firebird 400, 4 speed that he gave to our other brother Jeff when he came home from Vietnam. Both cars have probably been crushed.
@jeffrogers38767 ай бұрын
Damn what part of the country were you in? There was only a handful of dealers in the country that would've dealer-prepped your brother's car to those specs using the 3 barrel carb, a set of headers upgraded ignition, traction bars ... I know Motion did for sure, as well as Bill Thomas, who tuned the early Grumpy Jenkins Camaro's. I don't believe Nickey or Dana Chevrolet out west did . Yenko I'm not sure What you described sounds like a factory Fathom Green 1968 L89 dealer prepped or another dealer prepped it exactly as a Baldwin Motion . Just the L89 option immediately brings # down to 1 of 311( I believe that's the accepted # of L89 Camaros in 68) If it was a Motion car to boot , idk maybe 10% if that number? Idk if he even pumped out 31 1968 Camaros let alone w/ aluminum heads

Road construction has killed a few good cars. Back in 1977 I had a black 68 SS Nova. Driving out past Pangborn Field at night going really fast I hit a patch of gravel. By some miracle I didn't wreck it but it was a close thing. My car survived that night. I sold that Nova to buy a 69 Z28 about a year later. The kid who bought my Nova was out one night and had the car full of kids and they were all drinking and on the very same road that I almost wrecked the car just past where it became Batterman road he missed the curve and flew off the road totally destroying my old Nova. By the grace of god nobody died in the wreck which considering how bad the Nova was. Was nothing short of a miracle. Seeing the Chevelle picture of the wreck and how it happened reminded me of the Nova.
