I just came back from a trip to tokyo. I went to disney Sea and TokyoDisneyland. I LOOOVED DisneySea. I got to get into Fantasy Springs. I got on Peter Pan and Frozen. Frozen was an expansion of the one in Epcot and Peter Pan blew my mind. INcredible.

I absolutely adore Tokyo DisneySea and love how it is so original and unique in its theming without its over reliance on IP implementation. The addition of Fantasy Springs worries me a good bit that it’ll take away from the artistry of the DisneySea park, but I can’t lie, a lot of the scenery looks beautiful. Even the rides don’t look half bad. DisneySea will always be the most GOATED Disney Park 👍

I just got back from DisneySea and it’s as amazing as everyone says. There were some important aspects to Fantasy Springs access that I found out along the way. I was there on a Thursday and both standby and premier passes were hard to come by. I was able to book a morning pass as soon as the park opened but I had to check the app throughout the whole day to find another slot in the afternoon. Also, it’s worth noting that you can ONLY go to the attraction that you have a pass for. I thought once you were in Fantasy Springs you could get in line for the other rides but they make you scan your pass even for standby. This was without the one-day passport, of course. That said, it was totally worth the hassle to get in. The area’s decor is incredible and the attractions I did get a chance to ride were some of the best I’ve ever seen in any theme park, Disney or otherwise.
@yuutafan4 ай бұрын
Did you have Happy 15 or were you staying elsewhere? And how early are they letting people in now? And can you hold a Premier Pass and a standby Pass for an attraction in the new Ports at the same time? I've been really curious about the latter.
@equilone4 ай бұрын
We were staying elsewhere and we lined up about 2 hours before the listed 9AM opening time. They started letting people in at around 8:15 and we got our tickets scanned about 20-30 minutes after that. I’m actually not sure if you can hold premium and standby passes for Fantasy Springs at the same time because I never saw a time where both were available.
@sabrinacareri41114 ай бұрын
I also just came back and no one talks about this!!! I was under the same impression and even asked some Disney vloggers who all said once you’re in you can get in the standby line for the other rides. THAT IS NOT TRUE. We spent HOURS on the app refreshing constantly to get either a standby or premier pass to the other attractions. HUGE FYI for anyone going that is not discussed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed at the Sheraton 6/2-6/6, and was blown away by the view!!! We did not get the bay side view like I had hoped. Instead, I looked out the window to find that we were staying in Neverland! There were the volcanos which were smoking, and lit up all night. The monorail passes right in front of it. And the drone show… …a rainbow appeared over Neverland, and then this huge gold ship appeared out of nowhere and sailed across the sky. I’m not a big Peter Pan fan, but am now.
@lou40574 ай бұрын
Sounds amazing. May I ask how hotel pricing compares to Disney World?
@UmmYeahOk4 ай бұрын
@@lou4057The yen is down right now, but it was about $121. …for something thats basically a deluxe Disney resort. They have complimentary shuttles that run every couple of minutes. One goes straight to Disneyland, another, the main train station at Ikspiari (their downtown Disney) and to the Bay Side Station, which is the monorail loop. The station is so close that we always walked to it on the way there. The bus literally just drops you off across the street from the hotel, which seems a bit silly, but it’s there. The station is also next to the new Fantasy Springs hotel, so you get to check out the exterior. Also, since the monorail runs clockwise, it’s almost empty in the morning. Due to its design, you can sit right up front, and see everything! All the magic that WDW used to have is truly here. The rumors were true! If it weren’t so expensive to fly, we’d go annually from now on! That’s the biggest problem. It’s such a hassle simply getting there, that unlike domestic Disney, you want to stay two weeks, so you’re paying two weeks of hotel, food, and such. So it ends up being more expensive in the long run, but you do get your moneys worth, unlike with domestic Disney.
@tiffanylastinger3925Ай бұрын
Was that hotel more worth than a Disney hotel in your opinion?
@UmmYeahOkАй бұрын
@@tiffanylastinger3925Oh yeah! I’ve stayed at deluxe. I’ve stayed at the Disneyland Hotel at CA, and Yacht and Beach Club at FL. I’ve also resorted to hopped a few other deluxe hotels. The last Disney hotel I stayed at was a moderate Port Orleans French Quarter. Waited 30-45 minutes for a bus every single time! Our paid/not free MagicBands didn’t arrive in time, and there was no extra magic hours or fastpass. There is zero reason to stay at any Disney resort any more. In Tokyo, the only real perk was Happy Entry, which lets you in 15 minutes before anyone else. We also had Marriott rewards, so staying at the Sheraton made sense, especially since you could walk to the monorail loop. They also had complementary shuttles to the parks, the train station and monorail station… …meaning you could ride a bus to cross the street because that’s where the monorail station was. I think we waited maybe 5 minutes max. Oh, and for some reason, that monorail… …not many people ride it, so I got to ride up front where it looks like I could pilot it, only there’s no controls. That was extra magical!

We just came back from visiting both Disneyland and DisneySea including Fantasy Springs. My 2 kids (and my husband ) absolutely loved the Frozen ride that we did it 5-6 times and we did Peter Pan ride twice (although it malfunctioned a couple times during the day). The Tingerbell's Busy Buggies ride wasn't worth the wait though. Also, we were at DisneySea on a Friday and Saturday. It turned out that it was a lot less crowded on Saturday than I first feared.

I stayed at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel which doesn’t have happy entry to DisneySea at this point. I thought It’d be fine to go at the park when it officially opened at 9. Entered at 9h05 everything completely sold out to Fantasy Springs on a wednesday. Ok Japanese people, bring it on! The next day I went to the line at 6 am. The park opened for us (without happy entry) at 8:20! Right the second I scanned my ticket I rushed to get my premier access and standby pass! I was able to see everything 🙏🏻 só for people who really want to get inside.. they have to go way before the parks open and just sit there waiting.. Of course, the mortals who don’t have a vacation package haha

Update! Just did research on Tokyo Disney VIP Tour: you need to book certain rooms within the Disney Resorts/Hotels. You cannot just book the tour like in America. I find this so odd that they have you do this. It’s honestly making me think not doing the tour here & just do the VIP Tour at Disney Corporation properties. They only allow you 6 hours, where in the states they allow you to have a minimum of 6 hours & I did 8 hours on a weekend slash holiday.

Tokyo Disney is definitely on my bucket list, but I’m not sure if/when I’ll be able to make it there. How many days do you think is necessary to really enjoy yourself at the parks? Is one day per park enough or do you think you need at least two days per park? Maybe just one day in the castle park and two days in Sea? Also, if I went to Japan, I would want to explore the entire country, not just the Disney parks, but do you think it’s better to start a trip with Disney or end your trip with Disney?

How much do your normal trips cost to Tokyo Disney? I really want to go and have started saving up money to go but I’m not fully sure on the costs of going. I’d love to hear what you say!
@DFBGuide4 ай бұрын
Your biggest expense will likely be the flights, so my best advice is to look into the cheapest seasons to fly -- I believe late fall is still one of the cheaper times to fly to Japan from the US. Also, look into which US airports may have the cheapest flights. Unless you're lucky enough to be near an airport with more direct flights, you'll likely be flying to somewhere else in the US to catch that international flight; if you're flexible you might be able to find some cheaper options. After that, think about whether you want to be at one of the official Disney hotels. There are several other hotels that are right along the monorail line so they're just as convenient and often significantly cheaper. A few of our team have stayed at the Sheraton by Tokyo Disney and really enjoyed it.

@TheSteph4you4 ай бұрын
There are different kinds of packages. some are "Japanese" packages where you need an address from within Japan and all documents are in Japanese. Then there are the others geared toward international tourist with English paperwork and will accept addresses and other info from outside of Japan. As for payment. We didn't have any problems with Visa or American Express cards. We found on our trip to really pay attention to signage on what type of cards you can use. A lot of places would only take just visa, just mastercard ect. and cash obviously. I hope this helps and I hope you can get what your looking for. Something to note, at lest for us, we couldn't select packages till a few months out and they open up at the beginning of the month. So if your looking for April 2025 you may not be able to get anything till December. Disney is always updating though so continue to check in every once in a while.
