You and Travis tutorials are so helpful! Thank you! I watch the videos you made regarding the puch maxi luxe because I have a 78 but I watch your other videos because all your projects are amazing! I love how much you care you put into really cleaning them up. These videos really are inspiring.

Darn, David. I thought I was taking a break from mopeds, but I’m back addicted again. Just bought a Danish puch project for the winter. It’s gonna be plenty of fun with my grandfather.

Nice! You have a needle bearing rod! if it were me, i would try mildly porting the cylinder, light hone/new rings, maybe dialing in the squish/compression, and dremelling out the intake to 14-15mm and using a 15sha, with a slip on $35 chamber and i think you'd see 40mph! or you may get lucky posting on MA Buy/sell for a cylinder kit :)

Hi I have a kinetic Tfr 2003 I used to turn it of from the ignition but now is not working . When I start it I get to use the choke to turn it off . I disconnected the ignition wires but but never turned of until disconnected the wires that go from the CDI to stator. What could be the problem please ? The CDI is new . Could be the problem on coil keeps powering the engine ? I need help please .

How the heck did you get that nut off at minute 7:22? I'm tearing down my engine and cant get the gear nut off. I've already destroyed one strap wrench, took a torch to the nut, used penetrating spray. Nothing seems to work. Any tips? Great video btw!
@DavidFixesHisShit3 жыл бұрын
Grab a set of channel locks with fairly thin heads (like Knipex pump pliers). Open them up wide and insert the two heads down into two of the holes on the gear, holding it tightly in place. Then impact wrench that thing off. I edited out my cursing on that one 😜.

And i know about frustration i finally got the bearings for the wheels of my indian i ordered sealled bearings instead of the open that it had so i did not need the two washers/shims that covered the exposed part of the bearing even thought they were on the inside of the wheel hub. I had a problem with the brake shoes that i ordered from treatland and had to do more modification to them to make them fit in the hub. So after i installed the wheel and thightened it the wheel binds! I have tried everything i know and no luck. If i loosen the shaft nut the wheel turns no problem but once i thighten it it binds up. Any ideas as to what the problem might be? The brake shoes i ordered are the ones treatland recommends for my model. I have the 8 spoke aluminum kind. Cheers

Man, you spent so much time cleaning that engine that you had a beard when you were done! :D
@DavidFixesHisShit5 жыл бұрын
HA! My dang beard makes it hard to correct continuity mistakes. I always think "I'll just rerecord that part" and then I think, "but damn! I'll have to shave my beard!" Or grow a beard, which is even harder :-)

@@DavidFixesHisShit for that you might need some special tools depending on what you're doing to it. and i sold my peugeot 103sp, rode it for a few months before i sold it the nc50 im looking at is from 1977-1981. yours looks like an express 2 perhaps 1982-1983. again good luck with the build.

That is a lot of parts for that motor David! Looks like a jig saw puzzle. Do you have an exploded view in the parts manual? I would need one for sure.

Cool! which model? I already disassembled the 77 LVS-U3 The fuel tank is the main problem due to rust and cracks not sure if I will be able to fix it but I am going to try my best. I like the looks of it better than the 103 SP but the SP is in better shape cosmetically, tank is rusty but not as bad as the other one. All of sudden now I have 3 mopeds! Cant wait for you to start on that Peugeot.Have a Happy Thanksgiving.Cheers

Dave, is that stock ignition an IDM setup? I’ve been trying to rebuild my Tomos, but the IDM ignition on mine has almost nonexistent pullers for it. I think that puller you used might help
@DavidFixesHisShit5 жыл бұрын
It’s CEV. I don’t think the 19x1 puller will work. I think you need the 18x1.5, but don’t quote me on that.
@andreww.62835 жыл бұрын
David Fixes His Shit I’ll just hop on the lathe and see if I can make one. I ordered the 19x1 puller, but that can always be returned

Can i put the horizontal version of this motor on a Tomos Targa ?????
@DavidFixesHisShit4 жыл бұрын
I’m of the opinion that you can put any engine on any bike. It’s just a matter of how much work you are willing to do. I don’t have an NOI engine here to look at, but I do have a Tomos and google images. I think it’s doable, but certainly not bolt on. It’ll take some fabrication to get that engine playing nicely with that frame.
