You're going to get a huge influx in subscribers one day when the moped community as a whole finds your videos. Another great one, and looking forward to more.

Ha! I’m just happy for the people that do watch. I’ve often said, that if you like mopeds, then there is a very good chance that I like you. I think it’s true, so that helps to know that everybody who is watching is cool as hell 😎

That thing almost looks like a regular motorcycle. You were not kidding when you said it is bigger than some of your other mopeds.

Hi David..discovered your channel through recently owning a tomos .my friend owns a mobylette and I've been watching all your old bids and catching up to present day ..love your style and everything you do. Keep up the great work dude .👍👍

Thanks Steve. I appreciate the kind words. I heard that Tomos is officially bankrupt, so they will not be building/releasing any more mopeds. If true, than that makes me sad...

For anyone thats lost those loose bearings you can usually find them at your nearest bicycle shop just ask the mechanic. Amd sometimes they will just give you a handful

Psyched to see your progression hitting all the brands, im still stuck on mobys But the za50 2 speed is exciting Excited to see what you come up with Get treats, md,77,and dos to send you stuff to test! Totally like the voice over storys Keep up the good work
@DavidFixesHisShit5 жыл бұрын
Ha! That would be the dream.. testing the latest kits, pipes, and carbs. I could die happy. Thanks about the voice overs. Feels weird doing those, since I’m just sitting at my desk talking to nobody. I’m glad you like em. If you like the progression, then just wait. I got three or four lined up, and one or two of them are oddballs.

Where would you buy ball bearings if you were to loose them?
@SDsailor75 жыл бұрын
I started my Indian moped restoration ass backwards, since instead of testing the motor first and making sure it started I just went ahead and started disassembly down to the frame. Hopefully the motor starts, I did check to see if the motor turned over and it does.All I have left to do is derust the fuel tank and paint the frame.
@SDsailor75 жыл бұрын
I have to come back and follow your videos so I can keep inspired thru out my restoration.Keep up the good work!Cheers

If that has the 2 speed auto trans, I bought one of these brand new in the early 80's. It was my third and final moped. Great bike that I ultimately traded for a Honda 350 motor cycle when I became old enough to have a motorcycle license.

Nick... sounds like it’s time for you to go shopping. I sense some unresolved moped issues in you that can only be exercised by getting another one to wrench on! 😜

There's actually 2 clutch cables. The exterior cable threads into a much smaller one that remains in the case. Attached to the pressure plate..they come right apart. Change your shift dampeners!! Also flip that 2nd gear clutch, helps Alot with getting a more reasonable shift point.
@DavidFixesHisShit5 жыл бұрын
Awesome. Thanks for the info!

@@DavidFixesHisShit these bikes are truly great..i pined for one for years before i got mine....but alas, opinions change... after 5 years the top tank aesthetic lost its appeal. just sold mine last summer. The ZA is a wonderful engine, also look into a larger engine output sprocket. these engines are known for having an early shift change. flipping the 2nd clutch and running heavier oil can help a lot. but a bigger front sprocket is really the tits biscuits. mine had a bing 14 and a k-star70cc kit; with a tecno estoril. boom, a blaster. im 275, hit 40 all day. magnums handle speed better than almost any moped. it really is more a motorcycle than a moped.

I've been waiting for this. I have plans for my ups magnum I'm looking forward to see what you do. And how is your wife enjoying her beautiful machine?
@DavidFixesHisShit5 жыл бұрын
She’s a fair weather rider, and it’s cold a crap here right now. That footage I got of her doing the test ride is about the only time I’m gonna be able to get her out until it hits 75°. Good luck on your UPS!

Hey David, during the sped up full disassembly piece of the video there is a picture on the shop wall with two American flags hanging from it. I'm curious what city is in that picture, assuming its a city. The image looks like a couple framed European city pics I have, specifically from Germany.
@DavidFixesHisShit3 жыл бұрын

LOL. My Moby is 90% ripped apart. Cut off the back and did a shock relocation. Will be installing the 74CC kit on it. What do you use to clean parts? PS: I live in the bay. Too bad you didn't buy a house here back then. You'd have 10,000 mopeds if u did and sold it today haha
@DavidFixesHisShit5 жыл бұрын
Hey. I use the ZEP purple power cleaner. I mix it at a stronger concentration than they recommend and it cuts through everything. Just be careful about leaving it on painted parts for too long, because it’ll start removing paint after an hour or so 😜
@francoisl76635 жыл бұрын
@@DavidFixesHisShit Dang... So I've been using "Purple Power" for years. I got the ZEP and what a difference. Thanks for the recommendation. Making part cleaning way easier.
