DG Motors Drag Evo 8 Goes 8.95 Secs @ 157.25 MPH

Here we are up at Lebanon Valley Dragway in East Nassau, NY. Nothing like a beautiful day at this Test & Tune. We start the day off great with a 9.17 pass and finish with an 8.95 pass at 157.25 MPH. Conditions were pleasant with 73 degree air temperature. DG Motors improving every time!

Yes, we were running a stock evo 8 cylinder head, stock valves. After the 8.95 pass we burnt a valve on the next run. Picked up a bare evo 8 head, did a full port and polish, +1mm valves intake/exhuast, aem cam gears. We went with a high compression 2.0 liter with carillo rods, wiseco pistons. High compression won't need quite as much boost to make the power we are looking for (1000whp) @ 2000lbs. Looking to go 8.50 this season.

Cylinder Head was Stock (Factory Porting), Tomei 280 Cams, Buschur Valve Springs, L19 Head Studs. Bottom End was Buschur Stage 3 Aluminum Rod 9:1 Compression. Motor is now out for complete new rebuild for next season, Head is fully ported/polished, solid lifter setup, and aem cam gears and bottom end is going to be a 2.0 Long Rod 10:5:1 Compression.

Nice. Now did u need a rebuild because the motor blew? And why would u go with higher compression on the next build?

Catch can filled up. Our Evo does NOT leak oil.
