Hey Rich you can epoxy that hole in the windshield or just fill the hole with silicone and smear oil on the inside were you put a backing on, inside the windshield and smear oil on the outside backing plate as well and fill the cavity up with silicone or use epoxy. Then its easy to remove the backing plate that way silicone or epoxy won't stick to backing plates. I'd replace the carpet with rubber a thick flat roofing rubber. That way you can drive deep into the swamp in norfolk good the exhaust and intake will be higher than the floor of the box. Can't wait to see this baby in action. You can always replace the windshield and side windows and back window with plexiglass it will be much safer and cheap on top of that.

My Dad ordered our 74 GMC and optioned it with a clock instead of a tach, so we also have that comically large fuel gauge. Who the hell needs to know what time it is when you're floating the valves?
