I feel like that's a sad reality for most of the elderly. I mean, imagine, all of your best friends have died before you did, your spouse is dead, your children are all grown up and have their own lives. I mean, sure, you can make new friends, find hobbies, but sometimes it's not like that. It's low-key why I fear about not having kids cause if I do end up outliving most of my friends while not having a spouse, I might end up quite lonely. I think it's the joy being around children too, your own flesh and blood. But yeah, it is very sad that the grandma doesn't have much outside of seeing her grandchild. There's only so much sewing, book reading and stamp collecting until you need human interaction

We're on the same page about this video, August. I also didn't like how the mom's alcoholism was so breezily portrayed and how no one ever suggested getting her some kind of help. The epilogue even shows that now that the two grandmas can co-babysit, the alcoholic's daughter and son-in-law don't seem the least bit concerned about her problem or the fact that she's STILL getting drunk in the presence of her granddaughters. And yeah, if I were in Brad's shoes (funnily enough, you were totally right about that being the husband's name), I would definitely divorce someone if they blocked someone on my phone for as petty and self-centered a reason as "I don't want your mom spending time with our kids if my mom is too irresponsible to do the same!"

Every time a kid has a tragic backstory it's ALWAYS an abusive alcoholic parent. I know that DOES happen, but it's EVERY SINGLE TIME and he never addresses the fact that alcoholism is a serious issue and that not every alcoholic is an abuser or a bad person. For someone who supposedly cares about every hated on group in society, he has NO sympathy for people suffering from alcoholism. I feel like im gonna explode SO …. Let me get this straight she - blocks her husbands mom from his phone and expects them to never notice?? - doesnt try to possibly get help for her mom with her acoholism or idk maybe just all 3 of you be around the kids wouldnt that solve the problem too?? -doesnt inform her kids common knowledge pills or asks if they are alright - throws away perfectly good food that someone spent their time making - has the audacity to convince to cancel this vacation, which if they did would be wasting not only her husbands time but a ton of money - seems to not have any decent relationship with her mother in law, cause she only realizes now after one short story that she is a good granny?? These kids look 7 and 10 at least she is realizing this now?! She treats her like shes never met her before. And because she feels BAD her mom can’t be around the kids??? Then find a solution if you cant do it now COMPROMISE WITH YOUR HUSBAND LATER don’t just do crap without thinking about the consequences and act unreasonably selfish. there are so many good lessons and NONE OF THEM ARE IT

Oh my god, when I saw this episode I was mostly just unnecessarily mad at how the mom is just so unrealistically a “bad person”. Sure I feel bad for the alcoholic grandma too, but at this point the mom in this one was just making things worse on purpose, especially with the relationship between the kids and the “trustworthy” grandmother. The ending is feels very rushed. And it’s too obviously unrealistic. Overall this episode is a 2.5/10, in my opinion only some things make sense, but it was still so unrealistic and bad as always.

Wait till you watch the nun episode. Kinda irks me how passive aggressive the 'rebellious' girl is.
@t1mburt0nsdandruff Жыл бұрын
The alcoholic grandma isn’t trustworthy to watch the kids, the other kidnapped them because she doesn’t really have a life, and the mother blocks the other grandma from her husband’s phone out of spite because she wanted her own mother to watch the kids. The true villain here is the mother, one grandma has a drinking problem and needs help, the other constantly worries about her grandkids and does care for them. The husband should’ve divorced his wife for doing that, because she’s worried about her mom seeing the kids over their safety
@rennyforyourthoughts8023 Жыл бұрын
The other grandma didn't really seem abusive or anything, like she seemed like she would be an okay grandparent if she visited them while sober with other people there. Makes me feel weird that they just cast her aside, but the mom gets forgiven when she was arguably the worst person in the video.

Ironically enough it’s just been revealed that Dharr Mann heavily mistreats and underpays the actors that work for him and they’re all protesting against him. August’s assumption that Dharr Mann’s channel was just to gain in revenue and not actually about the “life lessons” was a bullseye So Dharr man not only takes advantage of a mostly child audience but he also underpays his workers. Apparently he’s also gone to jail too.

Why not just have your damn mother there when you are both there. Boom, she gets to spend time with them, and you can leave when a level of trust is built. Also: "The only thing I think about is my grandkids"... What about your actual son? Also also: The husband's mother needs to pick up on "I need to call the cops" vibes. Everything the wife has done screams she killed someone and was trying to hide it from the mother.

4:28 seriously? when i was their age i watched things like henry danger or the amazing world of gumball. why are they watching content meant for toddlers at that age? and btw, the mother does seem a bit of a Karen. i mean seriously, she cares more about her mother getting to see the kids than her kids own safety and constantly rejects the other grandmother who is clearly just trying to be nice. and also i don’t understand the husband. i mean when i have a wife, if she blocked my mom out of my life and put my kids in danger, unless she had a very good explication i would consider the divorce papers

my dad used to struggle with achoholism and this pisses me off because it really affected my familys life, thankfully we are all healing, but it doesnt change the fact i would never replace my father no matter how much he drinks. this shows dharr mann doesnt care about what he puts in the video but completely about money. I am completely stunned about how they treated the mother. instead of trying to help her out they throw her to the dirt and take the "better" option.

“Now I see that your mother has done nothing wrong!” YES SHE HAS!! She is clearly harmless, and meant well, but she still removed children from a house without notice or permission. I’m pretty sure this illegal. I’m not saying they need to press charges, but At the very least they need to talk to her about what she did.

10:54 I’m am not sure about divorce, though I would be very concerned and possibly consider divorce. I mean the mum is pretty selfish, cos her mum is like a hazard around children so it’s not unfair for him to not wish the grandmother to be with the kids.
@snowset675 Жыл бұрын
Definitely divorce-worthy. She was untruthful to her partner and trust is one of the biggest pillars in what relationship stand. Not to mention that it was all for a petty reason. I get being sad that your kids don’t visit you, but watching them while under the influence is dangerous. The kids should be able to visit the grandma, but she shouldn’t be taking care of them.

I can help you with that alcoholism part, take it from a former alcoholic. I resent that same thing, making it out as a joke. It is not a joke, and not all alcoholics are violent or lazy. I was high functioning, and a very pleasant drunk. I had a job, a home, everything. The only reason I quit was because it almost killed me, and I'd like to live a little longer. Alcoholism is not black and white, it's a spectrum, and it is very difficult to escape. I'm one of the lucky ones. Does that help?
@Rudolf215 Жыл бұрын
"You're just going to block a man from talking to his mother and have her not ever see her grandchildren" I will tell you, my sister-in-law did just that, sadly. She doesn't want my brother to talk to us and is not allowing her kids to see their grandparents (my mom and dad). It is pretty messed up, but it is not that uncommon of a thing for the sister/daughter-in-law to do that.
@carlocalderon3659 Жыл бұрын
I understand what August meant about alcohol addiction being a weird problem. The mom wants the alcoholic grandma to be the good grandma. But it’s like she can’t see that alcoholism is the problem. The mom is more focus on the grandmother being a grandmother instead of worrying about the grandma’s alcoholism. 10:39 for the poll yes this is divorce worthy. Why place the children with the alcoholic grandmother instead of the normal sober one (Mary). The mom said she is upset because her alcoholic mother can’t see the the grandkids. The mom acts like if the alcoholic grandmother sees the kids the alcoholism will just go away.
