whenever black people talk about racism they have faced there is always that person who says “y’all are being so sensitive .” forgetting that white people were so sensitive about it that black people couldn’t even sit on the same bench as them . people shouldn’t expect us to just become desensitised to racism, it affects us and we are allowed to get angry over it and express it . i was once scared to be seen as the angry black woman because what i been through and i learnt, fuck it . i am allowed to be angry when i am seeing people who look like me being targeted . be angry it’s an emotion that lets YOU know that what is happening is not okay, go be a peng folk ❤️ .

The only reason the person in fault changes their mind is because the victim is either rich and related to someone who has a lot of influence, or they’ve went through ridiculously hard struggles in their life. I wanna see one where the victim is just kinda an average person and tries to change their mind by stating true facts about why you shouldn’t discriminate, instead of just because they’ve got hidden genius or riches or smth. Here’s a breakdown on why this skit is bad: The message became skewed because he wanted to exaggerate the skit and the way he “remedied” the scenario in the skit made the implications that the racist mother only changed her outlook of the boy because his family had more money than them and the boy was smarter than her son. That’s not equality, that’s called being humbled. This skit portrayed humility rather than equality when discussing racism. This skit totally missed the point they were trying to make.

Ikr, it’s great that Dhar Mann is making these “moral” videos. But the thing is, he gives wrong messages. Even if he was poor, you still can’t be racist to him. I hate the message so much: “Don’t judge someone before you get to know them” I thought this was about racism? And the fact that the way they’re saying “Don’t judge someone before you get to know them” but it’s like: “Don’t be racist, they might be rich” that’s just stupid.

@@axyur I think the one good message I really remember was when the mom was getting in the single mom’s ass. It’s been a while since I’ve seen it but what I remember was that the single mom was both parents for her son but the married mom was giving her soooo much shit just to have barely have been a parent to her son. She even said “your son doesn’t have a dad and he needs one to help him with schoolwork. My son has a dad and he helps him with school work.” Which outed the fact that she doesn’t do anything for her son at all.

It's not realistic on any front. I was raised in a racist home. That kid never would have called his mom out while his friend was over... because he would have known better than to bring his friend home. I was too embarrassed and nervous about how my dad would have behaved or "joked" or whatever to have brought home any friend that wasn't super white... like clearly not mixed. My dad wasn't in my life really until I was 11 after my mom was murdered, so luckily I was raised primarily by a strong woman who believed that people are all just people & we judge others by the content of their character not the color of their skin. That boy was OBVIOUSLY already embarrassed by his racist mom. He never would have brought his friend over, out of fear that his mom would insult him and it would end their friendship. It may have made more sense if mom came to school and saw them hanging out and went off and his friend chose not to stand there and listen to the moms bs... but the original video isn't realistic from ANY point of view...

This made me so mad. Like even if he was poor or didn’t have the best grades, how would that automatically make him a bad person? 😑 It’s just like you said, good message but unrealistic. In real life, racists don’t magically stop being racist or apologize because of a black person’s status in the world. The most they’d do is see that particular black person as “acceptable” “or an exception” if they’re middle or upper class. Still racist and classist. Tbh, sometimes rich black people become the biggest targets. Everyone deserves basic respect as long as they haven’t done anything to disrespect you.

@@lemoncholy3264 no it isn't though. If he was poor, or even if he was a bad person she wouldn't have ever apologized and still would have been racist. Therefore the moral isn't that you shouldn't be racist it's that you shouldn't be racist because what if- there shouldn't be a what if. It's just don't be racist period. Like I wouldn't say you shouldn't push a pregnant woman because she owns a nice car. It's just don't push a pregnant woman. There is no because just don't do it. In other words you shouldn't have to get something back to not do something else. For example, I shouldn't have to get money to not steal. I should just have common sense and be a good person and not steal.

the exact same thing happened to me months ago. i live with my relatives. i have a friend shes from south Sudan she came over TWO TIMES and they had a problem with it. it was the exact same situation word for word as the script in the video. they had issues with her staying in my room (we weren't even loud or blasting music), snacking (which she literally brought from her own house), accused her of having intentions to steal and having bad influence on me. it got so bad they start to have excuses to express their inner racism i had to let my friend know. She looked disappointed yet not surprised. we're still friends to today because I'm not letting racism tear our friendship apart lol
