This episode was informative; there was nothing that I did not know, but it made a lot of sense. I have watched quite a few videos on health, and this is what I have learned. Eat a savory breakfast and have protein for breakfast; limit sugars, if not eliminate sugar and carbs, for breakfast; and have whole fruit instead of fruit juice. Have a balanced meal for lunch. Dinner should be light and balanced and eaten at least 2-3 hours before bedtime. Limit your caffeine intake in the evening so that your sleep is not disturbed. Having good sleep is important. Exercise at least 3-5 times a week. Walking is the best form of exercise. Adding strength training to your workout routine is important. Your gut health is important. Cut out junk, processed, or fried foods and added sugar from your life; if you cannot cut it out t tally, have it in moderation. Moderation is the key to a healthy life. I am 60 years old, and I walk 10,000 steps five days a week. I dance my heart out during the week, and it adds to my physical activity. Yes, my diet is not perfect on all days. My only weakness is ice cream and portion sizes of certain sugary foods, so I do not buy them, out of sight or out of mind. It is a work in progress, and I am still working on having a perfect diet and strength training on a regular basis. And the most important thing, along with your physical health, is your mental health. Cut out people from your life who do not add joy to your life and make you miserable. Be healthy and happy, everyone.

Dr.Visakha, You are highly knowledgeable and described everything very spontaneously and correctly. I am a retired chemical engineer and running 80 years of age. I myself and my wife have come to Seattle USA to spend some quality time with our only son and his family. I purchased air tickets in economy class for both of us and traveled safely. We will also return to India in economy class too. We both are physically strong enough for leading healthy life. Our BMI is 21 to 22. We walk daily in life early morning. During rainy season we walk in our treadmill at home. We take black coffee without sugar in the morning and take breakfast having lots of fibre (soluble & insoluble). We take balanced vegetables and protein in our meal. We keep nearly 12 hours gaps between our dinner and the next day breakfast. You will be astonished to know that my bone density is > 1. I am a good cook and still love to cook. We always consume less carbohydrates and take sufficient fish and chicken. We never take red meat. Salad and curds are must in our lunch, which we take around 12 noon. Around 3:00 pm we take some fruits in moderate quantities. Our dinner time is around 7:30 pm.

ईसलिए शुुगर control करके आप quality of life जी सकते है. शुगर control है और Tri gkyceraldehyde/cholestral सब नौर्मल है.

Ye sab aamiro ke chonchle hain..gareeb insaan aaj bhi jayada healthy hai aur lambi jindagi jeeta hai..western knowledge india ke upar apply nahi hoti..corona me hum ye dekh chuke hain..our tradition food recipes with various species is best in world..only our traditional food is sufficient to give us health & safe life..dont use fastfood, pizza, colddrink & live healthy life.

Loved the podcast. It would be great to listen more to such knowledgeable people who relay so much information to the public. On a personal note, I have been practicing intermittent fasting for almost two years now and I can vouch for that, it really works! Will definitely try the much talked about bulletproof coffee. Thanks for the video 😊
