The Minion Necro (Golem) that you have down in 'A' tier now, is the worst version of a Golem focused build out there, the best versions are certainly S tier and better than Shadow Minions that uses bone storm. The dude that came up with, and whoever reviewed the build, just don't know what they're doing, and I've seen that it's been misleading a lot of people. Honestly, Maxroll has been kinda disappointing when it comes to builds (not that any other site is doing it better), things are sometimes either wrong, not as detailed as they could be or builds are not properly updated for a while. Doesn't really feel as trustworthy as it should.

I have 2 druids. lvl 100 Tornado Werewolf: All glyphs capped: Tempest Roar unique: all 925 gear legendaries: 4/12 masterwork and all tempered : Training Ground DPS: 1 millon. 2nd character currently lvl 83 Windshear Druid all legendary, no uniques. 1 925 weapon. The rest is 800-ish. 5 glyphs at lvl 15 with a 6th yet to reach in paragon - 5-8 million dps. Tornado Druid can still push, but to achieve any further uniques requires mainly a boot to have an *10 spirit regen and have no luck past week farming just to have that on a boot or chest even. I only end up getting *max life or *willpower. I am enjoying the season. Just a little disappointed using a basic skill build that's cool for leveling up, but never thought I"d have to use one for endgame purposes. Thank you for windshear guide and will keep tackling with both these character builds. 👍

Perhaps because you need to stand still which not many people like. I leveled with hydra/firewall all the way up to 100 and it was super smooth and you have some mobility as well.

@@joelhodoborgas Or do what I do, don't use guides at all :) D4 is so much better for just putting together a character yourself that can clear stuff and get far, than D3 was. I much prefer to just judge each item myself and sit there and decide my paragon boards, not being too fussed about if it's 100% optimal or not, than compare each item and stat to a screenshot some stranger put together, leaving out all creativity and decision making. This season has made it easy enough that even if you don't follow a guide, you can pretty comfortably make a very strong character. The sandbox nature of my characters and continuously seeing them improve as I make changes and realisations allowing me to push higher, is infinitely more enjoyable than starting out with a preset build from a stranger and be done with it. At the end of they day, nobody beside you cares what pit level you clear, and I'd much rather see continous progress and eventually clear something like pit 100 on my own made character, than 120 because I copied somebody else.. Experimenting with your build is to me the most fun part of D4, so why would I have someone else play that part of the game for me? I like watching these tierlists, but there's no way I'd ever click on one of the builds and set up my character after it.. not at all fun in D4 imo. In D3 I did, cus you pretty much had to cus of the crazy multipliers..

@@DrewPencc Yeah, you're better off looking for sources other than maxroll for druid builds. They always suck. Heck, a random streamer with 6 viewers gave me a better tornado paragon board and recommended a different aspect setup. Same character, same gear and all of a sudden 80+ pits were possible. Before that, I was about to reroll to necro. It's not the class, it's maxroll.

@@yqq you asking me ? Yes I do . Compare maxroll firewall sorc levelling guide to the same build by a guy called GoldFarmingGuide on KZbin. With his build .. I was able to Elias at Level 45, with Maxroll build I couldnt do it at 55ish . It's a big difference. Their blizzard sorc guide has unoptimized aspects AND paragon. Lurkin from discord blizzard is speed farming t90 and that build on Maxroll could never do that .

I tend to use the Maxroll builds as a jumping off point, and not as Gospel like some. They definitely have their inconsistencies, but they are a good source to cross-reference against D4Builds, IcyVeins, Wowhead, etc. One thing I'd like to see you guys do is explain more about the choices you made as far as tempering goes in comparison to other options available. Making the argument for why you choose particular options over others goes a long way.

Clearing the Pit itself is very easy, but I don't have enough damage to kill the bosses and I run out of mana fast on single targets. What Barb Bash build is actually the best? On Maxroll, you seem to have two variants: Bash + CotA and Bash + Kick/WotB. Which one is better? Also, the guide for barb itself doesn’t seem to be nearly as complete/comprehensive as the one for necro (gear selection is almost fully omitted, no uber unique discussion, overall less info). Now that this build has been moved up, it will probably get more attention and it would be nice to update the guide. Is this something that is planned?

tbh, i hope devs introduce character loadouts soon. I have different builds for different content (pit, bossing, helltide..etc) that I need to keep changing glyphs and skill trees. masterworking already costs so much gold not to mention enchanting is dreadful when the rolls arent in your favor.

it should be added that bleed bash barb is only #1 due to the holy bolt exploit, without adds to trigger holy bolt, its worse than any other bash build on bossing so its not worth building over a regular bash build due to needing to level a rogue for the temper and needing much more uber uniques to even function

I really do not understand how you can claim Golem/Minion Necro is an A tier build when it is literally the highest clear on the pit currently, unless something has changed since yesterday. Somebody is working on 140 with it. I love ya'll and Maxroll, but I offer as constructive criticism that it sort of feels like you are getting a little complacent this season. I understand that many of these very high clears are largely do to the non sense with Holy Bolt elixir, but the fact remains that the build is still among the highest in the game and all classes with high tiers have the same benefit of Holy Bolt being broken anyway, so its about even. It stands out as a particularly uninformed tier list change when you speak so highly of Rogue being able to clear 90's when Necro can quite literally walk through 100's with little to no problem at all. I could understand counting another build higher potentially, thats one thing. But dropping it to A is not a decision that is tethered to the reality of the situation. Maxroll has not even have a build on Blood Mist Golem necro at all and its the most successful build in the game atm. I suggest more testing or better consultation among yourselves for these types of changes. You've grown to become the best of the best, so people expect better. I'd rather you ditch the C D and F tiers entirely and focus that time on being up to date with builds people are actually playing. Nobody is playing Sever Necro

Probably because they're basing the tier list on the pit ladder event. They don't use the holy bolts bug on that leaderboard, unlike the people pushing 130-140 with minions.

played shadow minion as my first char, hated it. higher pits u basically do no dmg unless boss summons minions. the way ppl push is to exit and reset the run if the a minionless boss spawns. the entire build at higher lvls is based on bugged holybolt potion. necro are also squishy enough to even die in 90-100 speed farm if u get hit by boss abilities. its just not fun at all. my 2nd char is a barb, not even max lvl yet and can already face tank everything in pit 100 without moving an inch with a similar killing speed too. necro was the biggest trap of season 4, with a play style that is neither enjoyable nor healthy

It makes perfect sense to make the tier list according to the ladder. Holy Bolt elixir is not part of the necro build, it's just a bug and it's getting fixed sooner or later. While rogue has the build that has pushed the highest. But I agree the maxrolls guides are bad and blood mist shadowblight golem deserves its place in S tier

I still remember the maxroll s2 stormclaw guide, which made you waste paragon points on the legendary paragon node for poison, despite having no way to activate multiple poisons, whether from gear or skills, so you never saw that damage bonus. You had to single target 3 different targets and then wait patiently for the buff to even show up, and you didnt even do enough poison damage for it to trigger most of the time. No poison creeper, no unique that enabled poison spreading. The maxroll tier lists feel like theyre being rushed to meet a quota.

I played Lightning shred and you're wrong. You get poison from toxic claws passive and that's all you need to scale the poison multipliers.

It only used claw: the basic skill. The unique helm Tempest Roar could have made the build work with its poison scaling, but Tempest Roar was not a part of their build guide. So, for that build, the poison nodes were largely pointless.

My Frozen Orb build can clear the pits fine until I get to the bosses. Some of those shadow clone attacks are just one-shoting me. Seems like more of an issue with the game balance than a issue with the build. Good to hear that some of the aspects and paragon legendry's are just broken though. curious, its just a "bug" scaling abuse in my eyes. i tested it, and for the instance itself its cool, you really feel so powerfull, but as soon as there is only one mob you just dont do anything, even worse than the necro golem build :D my bash literally hit for 80 mios before and with that build for 8 millions maybe, its just a elixir abuse with the bleed.

Some builds are so dependant on just getting lucky with finding/rerolling/tempering that they for the vast majority of players they realistically don't exist. I've bricked so many potentially stellar items I can't count. If I could make one change to the game, it would be to not have so much of a character's strength coming from the items. Leveler playing field or something.

Honestly I kinda consider these things intentional though--devs will often leave them in the game either as "gifts" to players or because they want to use the bug themselves.

The Most Problem over maxroll is that they want there Builds Casual and then they change something around to fix that. Even Streamer like Macrobioboi dont use the maxroll builds cause he know there are better once out there or his builds he uploaded in the D4Planner are better. Minion laggying Defensives Layer is a joke. With Perfect gear you can be permanent into blood Mist if you want. Its like Sorc Perma Flameshield minewhile minions shredding Tier 100+

Iv been playing heart seeker with andarial Uber unique and the Uber chest. I think andarial is doing some weird scaling with the high lucky hit procks. I literally have NO POISON buffs or anything that benefits poison aside the stupid amounts of vulnerable damage for exploit yet anderials helmet is doing poison nova ticks that have been scaling from 1mil on short end up to 22mil. I believe they can go further with investment and currently trying them out. I cleared pit 118 recently doing this with only my chest being master work 4/12. I have not invested master working the other items due to frequent gear swaps to test.

@@tylerj3855 heartseeker bro. I’ll try to do a video in morning before work. I’m also lucky with my necklace. 3 passives. Exploit , malice and fridged. I’m about to master work it fully. Essentially andarial keeps you alive with the constant healing and lucky hit nova and the chest increases your overall survival. I stacked the 5 rank dark shroud with the other that gives 6 and some per shroud extra damage reduction , then it’s a bunch of others and also poisoned enemies do less damage. Have about 55k life and if I use elixir it’s close to 70k. I’d have to be mobbed hard or outright one shotted which I find mostly happening by the bosses shadow mechanics. I’m just looking for someone who has the helmet on heart seeker who can attempt to back up what I’m experiencing with the damage spikes. I honestly don’t know what’s going on. It was a random try that happened to just work from pit 92 up to 118.

Defo not sorc. Unless you want to absolutely annihilate helltide and pit mobs in a very fast fashion just to get stuck at the Boss for 9 min meaning if you f up once and die, which is very possible, you have no chance of cleaning the pit before the timer ends. It's possible to push with sorc or farm high pits but again you have to sell your soul to get to there

Am playing an ice shard Sorc. Am having a lot of fun. Currently level 94. I completed pit level 30 and I have reached NM dungeons level 81. I am still building up glyphs and mastercraft level. I haven't tried to push any level yet. Looking foward to see how far I can go as I build my character. Best season so far and likely my first one with a level 100 character.

The maxroll tierr list seems a bit detacthed from reality this season . Hurricane druid has perfect "spirit per second" rolls in the default build, greater affix and tripple crit masterwork. I doubt that a lot of players will ever get such an item.

yeah the maxroll guys have no idea what they're on about. They make decent set ups at the start of seasons and then completely stop doing testing/improving it. The Frozen Orb writer "Northwar" is using some of the most outdated information atm. He hasn't updated the guide since the 19th. Its a joke. You're way better off just watching smaller content creators who actually improve the same build throughout the season, or just going to literally any other website that updates the builds and gives a fuck

@@SoupsIsEz Pretty shure they know what they are on about. Ssome of their build guides seem a bit rushed this time around, not just sorc. Some of the rogue guides still contain attack speed on wepons. A stat that could never roll on weapons in the live game.

Hey wud I was wondering if you could do me a favor and add into these builds where applicable(rapid fire rogue, leap and teleport come to mind) a disclaimer that they don't work well on console. Thinking of the goal being player retention. My season journey so far was needing to get to really high pit levels to realize from the stand point of survivability double swing barb just isn't playable if you can't precisely aim leap.

Im playing rapid fire on console and its playabale. I am able to clear 100+ pits with only 8/12 masterworking

@@danielfry8097 it does a degree, for long range targets, and for targets you're right on top of, however with short to medium distance ones unless I'm missing something that's L2P which is entirely possible you'll miss as much as you hit.

doubt they're nerfing anything at this point. It's to far into the season and people have invested to much into their gear, heck bash barb didn't get touched even though people though it was the case. They can release some buffs though to some builds that'd be dope.

Storm claw druid, way more fun than I expected. Level 70 at the moment and I'm doing mid to high tier 40s and it's just entertaining how fast pace it is. And it is completely unoptimized at the moment lol I do not have any of the proper gear on. Had my buddy boost me and I just threw on whatever I have. I just got the Chrome staff I needed which makes it where my basic does storm aoe stuff as well. I'm having a bit of fun. I wanted a fast-paced druid build and I'm digging it so far.

For me hurricane in speedfarming should be higher in tier. You just get mov speed gear and run through helltide like 0 effort and with mov speed pot can get really fast

It feels so bad that the tier list ranked twisting blades rogue so low, but being a TB rogue myself i really can't deny its ranking. But i am hopeful that they will buff it even a little since the boss's mechanics really punish melee most of the time. 😅

you are wrong about the barb builds, bash with bleed is with holy bolt, thorns is whitout any cheese. bleed bash is just a really bad bash build that abuses some scaling from the elixir. it guts your normal dmg like in half but holy bolt scaling with bleeds is insane and most likely bugged ;)

I have a thorns barb and a shadow necro. Thorns can clear 10 tiers lower for me. Also pure minion is like 20 tiers lower than shadow minion for necro.

Rogue bias, atleast from a hc perspective. The skill gap between bash barb and hs rogue is huge. Barb is autoplay.

At EVERYONE complaining necro builds (especially shadow minion) and compare it to "robs" build: TRY IT. actually play it. "Robs" build is 100% squishy. FULL Glascannon. The bonestorm ult is WAY more tanky, and absolutly playable until Pit 110, especially with hardend bones on amulett. With Robs Build, u get oneshotted at t80. Stop complaining - actually play this build. For ME - its absolutly not enjoyable.

I played boyh RF and Barrage and Barrage is better at clearing with a small disadvantage at bosses but the difference is not that big and playing with a crossbow is way better than a bow since you get nothing from bow passive. Also the guides need an update, like seriously, some are just the same since launch

I‘ve been now leveling for the first time a rogue with barrage and its so fucking good and fun. But i can‘t decide between rapid fire and heartseeker for endgame. Rapid fire looks cooler and more fun to play but heartseeker is a little bit stronger.

Then you do something wrong in general... you will probably struggle with rogue the same! You can easily get to 100+ with tornado, hurricane or wind shear build If you're just playing for highest pit clear, go either necro or barb

@@esca_nor3846 u dont even need to clear high pits nobdy does high pits is basically look at the size of my pp bragging rights i stopped at pit 80 as whats the point the drops are crap and more drops in the game now due to the gold star stat so less chance of a uber uber uniqe and all my gear masterworked for my solo hardcore build

Nobody should be forced to play only the best build of the season. On the other hand completely balanced classes and builds is something no arpg player wants... we want big differences each season

Using Rapid fire Rogue right now and I'm loving it. Already tried Heartseeker and Minion Necro and its too much boring for me. Its powerful but boring.
