Enjoy your great vidios. I'm a retired electrician but enjoyed the old days when we would repair things. Still have the Weller 100 /140 watt soldering gun my dad bought me back in1966 while in a great Vo Tech school. Our first color TV had tubes that I was lucky enough to test them and replace a bad tube. Kids nowadays including my 37 year old son does not know how to solder, replace a receptacle or use a screwdriver. The VA paid 90% cost to take a great master course in electronics that included building a Healthkit scope & 25" color TV along with a radio and a tube & transistor tester. Talking about coolers just before I retired they installed a few 100 HP chillers that used chilled water to cool down probably $7,000 VFD drives. Laughed when I saw they used the cheapest brittle plastic 90 degree fittings directly over the 480 volt power and 665 volt DC buss voltage. We used to have 3 or 4 great TV repair shops in our area but the last one probably closed 15 years ago.

Our first colour TV (Tandberg) also had tubes, 3 for red, blue and green. And when one of those tubes failed it was off to the electronics (cave of wonders) store to get a replacement.

Cool video! I like your music playlists too! I’m guessing you’re an ‘80’s kid, if I may be so bold as to ask?
I'm one of those friends that live close by. Carey and I haven't seen each other in at least a year. Hoping to fix that soon !

I'm personally glad you keep doing these videos. There's always some knowledge or wisdom to find in them, so I'm grateful. Stay safe, Carey.

Caution at some big box stores.Years ago I purchased a computer with the largest monitor available for my son while he was in High school . Cost over $2,000 with the printer, scanner and extended warranty. The monitor died and when I took it back to Comp USA the nice clerk said they will take over a month and end up giving me a new monitor. Took them 10 weeks of lying to me saying they were waiting for a part. They got angry when I told them to give the slow boat from China a second oar. They finally gave me a new monitor but refused to do any warranty work on replacement monitor.

I've been drinking Gatorade when I play tennis for a couple decades. The trick is to fill the bottle half way with Gatorade, and put them into the freezer. An hour before you're ready to drink, fill them the rest of the way with water. Stays cold the whole time you drink it, you'll save half the money, and consume half the sugar. How many wins is that?
