Do you start with a plain dry Tshirt, or do you soak it in vinegar first? Ive hear sof that trick but dont know if it makes the colors bleed more initially

I never use vinegar…I soak in soda ash before tying it up and that is the dye fixative that I use 😊

I use fiber reactive dyes which work only with natural fibers like cotton. So if that’s what you are using make sure you aren’t dying polyester cause it won’t work 😕 also I’m using professional grade dyes so it may depend on where you’re getting yours from.

When do you put color blocker in because when I do my T-shirts they always lose their color

I actually don’t use a color blocker. One of the main reasons people lose color is because they are using dye for the wrong type of fabric…fiber reactive dyes work on natural fibers like cotton and some other dyes only work on polyester.
