Well thank you! I really enjoyed making this one and figuring out which parts I would adjust to work with my skills.

I'd suggest if you have such thick fabric, or using a quilt like you did...sew/baste the edges together so that they down get twisted or maneuvered out of alignment. Then you won't THNIK you caught both pieces when you are putting on your fabric to cover the seamed edges, you'll know you have. Then there is nothing to cover up at the end. 😉😉 Good luck on all your future videos.

I have recently seen information about using Elmer’s School Glue, set with an iron to dry, to baste seams together. I have my bottle ready and am about to use it on a regular zipper bag, and I wonder if it might be effective on bias cutting/sewing lines, such as the one on this project, to eliminate stretch? I plan to try it, and also was wondering about your opinion/experience. My thoughts are to use the glue to hold the fabric, especially on curves, but not sew through it.

Did you make the bag hanging behind you in this video? I really like that.
@timothytotten94097 ай бұрын
You’re the second person to ask lol! It’s actually a bag by a company called Initials. I’ll have to investigate how to make my own version that would not necessarily copy it but show people how to do something similar.

I love the projects you share! You explain things so well. I need a wrist strap because of mobility problems, where on this would you recommend stitching one in?
@timothytotten94099 ай бұрын
I’d put it along the size where the zipper pull goes on. That way it’s near the zipper and along the side where the seam goes in.

I started to separate zipper before cutting size needed because….it only takes one side of zipper thus I still have length on other side of zipper for future project that may need longer length. Hope that makes sense.
@timothytotten94097 ай бұрын
That’s a great idea!!
@suzannequarles17369 ай бұрын
Could you use a regular zipper? Or does it have to be the continuous zipper tape without the zipper pulls attached (when purchased)? I hope that made sense! Otherwise I love this project!🎉❤
@timothytotten94099 ай бұрын
Of course! Just cut off the end so you can get the pull off cause you need to separate the two sides of the zipper and use just one side. Then you need to re-attach the zipper pull. Just check the zipper because not all can be folded in half and rezipped. The teeth are sometimes directional based upon the specific zipper design. Hope that makes sense!
@suzannequarles17369 ай бұрын
It does, thank you so very much!

I have tried making these but the bottom corners doesn’t look even because one corner is bulkier because of the binding.
@begonial615123 күн бұрын
I saw another video of this and although I have not tried it, it seemed to me that those corners would be too bulky once you turn it. If I make one, I will alter the corners to avoid that. One way would be to make the outside fabrics slightly larger than batting. This would require you to make your own quilted fabric though. You could also clip the corners diagonally before putting the binding.
