I actually do this on toms and bass drums with the Gojira plugin sometimes so it's cool to see Buster using the pitch shifter pedal creatively. It's the coolest thing about that plugin

The HM2 blend and octave trick makes this tone is filthyyyy As far as throwing some mids into the mid channel to help with mono speaker translation, check out Dan Worrell’s video on it. He goes into how to do that while also keeping width in stereo

I always played 2 seperate open low string single notes for Octave blend. I think this sounds cleaner. But Busters method sounds more brutal because you play the full chords and palm muted. I need to try that.

It sounds really good at 0:39 (that pro-q3 step is very useful) and then it sounds less and less good to me as we move forward in the video. But this is obviously a matter of taste and preference.

It's quite a common mistake, guitars shouldn't sound great on their own, but have to sound huge and clear in a mix, blend with vocals and FX ! Pretty sure if you add vocals to the guitar sound you are talking about, we would face masking frequencies ! Final mix is amazing, it's all what matters
@80s_kid
@80s_kid Ай бұрын
@@julienacquisto2249 That's right, the mix is the point, not the soloed track. The guitar heard at 0:39 wouldn't have been the end result for me either. As I wrote (in addition to the experience) it's a matter of preference, there is no only one good solution like 2+2=4.
