I consider myself a little of both. I like to diamond paint by mood/season but I am comfortable with doing events and having constraints. I try to combine both so I don’t feel boxed in. So if I’m doing an event I try to squeeze in something I am in the mood for. It just means more diamond painting time! Win Win. I have recently discovered that I have a favorite pen shop. Jim’s Handmade pen shop pens fit my hand perfectly and most importantly, when I drop them they don’t break! So sorry about your sick kiddos.

Hi, Katie, I think I'm still a newbie kind of diamond painter because I work night shift, so I try to get to my WIP for a little bit after work as a wine down. My current WIP is my first square OWL FASHIONISTA by Julia Spiri from DAC. I can't wait to get it finished so I can start on my next one which might be the awesome DAUGHTER OF MOONLIGHT By Chibimica Art and use my new pen from DAC. I absolutely love the colors in that kit they are in your words " STUNNING" !!! 🤣🤣🤣🌟🌟🌟

So sorry your boys are still under the weather and hoping things get better for all of you soon. One of my favorite dp’s that I’ve done is a night sky with the glowing moon high in the sky and a spooky tree in the foreground. Very atmospheric and spooky! I actually completed that canvas using a drill pen that I made myself. I love searching out cool regular pens that I can transform into drill pens. I’ve made quite a few now. I’m pretty much a schedule dp-er and I try to do a bit every day. I like other crafts also, but dp-ing is my favorite because I find it to be so relaxing and calming. 🌟💫✨⭐️

I’m a mood crafter, so I go from DP to breaded cross stitch or beaded enbroydory. I’m always crafting one way or the other, guess it goes with the moon 🌙 effect on me (something in portuguese we use to describe states of mind ☺️), they all help me decompress over overwhelming mind tiredness. I’m only on my 3rd DP, and can totally see the difference on my hands when I got a new pen (a cheaper one to see how it would feels), so now I can totally understand your pen collection, where not only you had comfort but aldeota beauty to the craft. ✨🥰✨

I love listening to your WIP and chats while I am busy at my computer, I tend to fall asleep otherwise!! Chat keeps me awake 😊It’s a worrying time for mums when kids are sick, it never ends my oldest just turned 34 and he had what we thought was a heart attack recently but it turned out to be a very bad anxiety attack!! Never had one before, my god was this mum panicking about her baby 😲 My Pen collection is getting quit large but I can always add another 😍💖⭐️🌟

I loved when you said that you didn’t have enough spoons left. I have achilles tendinitis and achilles bursitis, so I have to be mindful how hard I push while they are healing. I also am bipolar and can have mental struggles. My husband introduced the concept of having x number of spoons per day and being mindful how many I have and when I’m running out. I’m 48 and had never heard that metaphor before from anyone else until you referred to it. ⭐️ I am part mood painter, part planner. I’m a planner for events im interested in and making deadlines if I want something done for a holiday or gift. Otherwise I go by whatever mood I’m in. If I can combine mood with an event it’s even better!

I guess that I'm a mood DPer. As I'm working on one, I've already have mentally decided which one I will be working on next. Usually, if I'm working on a lot of confetti, I'll opt for one with more color blocking and vice versa. Sometimes, an event dictates which kit I'll work on best because I want to participate. I am absolutely on board with you doing post reviews on DAC. You are the fastest DPer I know, and seeing how the rendering actually turns out would be EXTREMELY helpful. ⭐️🌟🌠⭐️🌟🌠⭐️🌟🌠⭐️🌟🌠

From an ED RN: anytime a kiddo has a fever, my education for patients is this: give Tylenol and Motrin together every six hours. Keep kids hydrated; as long as they are drinking fluids, they should be ok. Pedialyte is your friend for any age. They won’t want to eat and that’s totally normal and they will eat when they feel like it. :)

I love to bling moon & stars in a painting with glow-in-the-dark AB's. Too bad those drills don't dig glue dots in my pen. I'm a bit of a mood painter. The one I didn't know i wanted to do was for an event. Amazingly i really had fun & it turned out great. I was rarely sick until i had a child in daycare through elementary school. Aaaaah I'm drooling at that Ses Plus Beau pen - I think they're my favorite pen maker, their stuff is so gorgeous every time. 😍💫 I think I'm in-between a mood and schedule diamond painter? I like participating in events and having somewhat of a guide of which kit to choose next, but I also like having options within that theme to choose from. (Might just be an excuse to increase my stash size, but still... XD) I'm so, so sorry your boys keep getting sick...you might have to put them in bubbles when you send them to school! I'm generally a mood crafter. When it comes to diamond painting kits sometimes it will depend on if I purchased it to do for someone as I generally so that as a birthday or Christmas present, so I just make sure to give myself enough time to complete it before that date, otherwise I pick which kit I want to do based on what one is calling to me. I don't usually set out what time I'm going to diamond paint, mostly because I can't as I'm running on the schedule for my 2 year old and 4 year old, and my 5 month old follows his own schedule still lol. My 4 year old also has sensory processing disorder so I need to make sure his needs are met sensory wise (to prevent meltdowns/shutting down) before I do anything for myself. Sometimes I'm also in the mood to do acrylic painting too. I also am starting with digital art but I do that on my tablet when my 5 month old is sleeping in my lap. That is so awful that you guys have still been dealing with illness. We had a rough time from December until the middle of February. Now we are dealing with our 4 year old getting constipated frequently so now we need to talk to his pediatrician to figure this out.

I think I’m a mood diamond painter. I have to be super into the kit to work on it and I also don’t like being put into a very tight box, even though I very much like having some sort of schedule throughout my day haha. I also think I like hearing your DAC reviews in your month in review videos. Im not sure for each DAC kit we’d necessarily need a separate review. But, do whatever works best for you!☺️ I’m happy you got to share those beautiful pens in todays WIP and chat! I put pen to paper on the regular and plan out a specific order that I want to do my diamond paintings. I plan out the whole year. Then invariably it takes me longer to finish projects than anticipated and so I end up just being a free spirit who lives by the moon in the end. 🖊 🌚 ⭐️

My diamond painting choices ebbs and flows like the ocean with the pull of the moon. I like ideas with events to help me decide what kit I should work on but I don't like only having a specific kit that i HAVE to work on. Like wanting to pick a pen to work on with the kit to match but still have multiple choices. I have been getting a nice size stash of dragon kits and I have a neat idea for the year 2024. I'm thinking of possibly starting a KZbin channel and would love to use the idea I have then. Just not sure when to try and start. Not sure anyone would watch and I have no supplies to be able to record and edit, etc. Sorry your family has been struggling with being sick so much this year! Hi I’m new to diamond painting and new to your channel. I’m a I guess random diamond painter. I also crochet so there has been some interference on that front with the new hobby lol. Sick kids always make my stomach in knots and I always seemed to get sick too. Trying to appear calm while freaking out on the inside. When I work on mine I always use a pen that I got from dac as well. I really think their hourglass ones are super comfortable and easy to hold.

I got one of the Black Prismatic Pearl pens from their 3/12 drop and it's such a beautiful pen! IT was the first fancy hand-turned pen I ever received and I use it all the time. One of my other hobbies is fountain pens and I can't help but wonder if it's possible to turn any of the beautiful diamond painting pens into a fountain pen. I know they sell kits for the hardware for making a kit pen, but IDK how all that works. But the pens you get for diamond painting are so much more uniquely shaped and visually appealing than a lot of the fountain pens available.
