The USA Women were gonna win gold regardless, so having DT there for "leadership" was fine. And the USA team sometimes has rookies, sometimes doesn't. It's not a hard and fast rule. The last rookie they had was Breanna Stewart in 2016...They took her instead of Candace Parker, and THAT was a snub.

"When the league was still growing in the 2010s"??? The WNBA was well established by then. And I would never say Skylar was "one of the first WNBA stars to go viral".... not even close. Though, unfortunately, treating pregnant women poorly in the workplace is very common in America. Pregnancy is often viewed as a disease that is a detriment to productivity. I don't blame Skylar for being upset about that situation.
