They probably don’t, they just don’t film it. This aspect of a woman’s life is very personal and all women go through different versions of it. Some of them don’t want it to plastered online and that’s fine. Some of you are too comfortable demonizing groups of people you don’t even know.. about an experience YOU don’t even have or go through.

My goal this up coming year is to focus on how I train and eat during certain phases of my cycle. I always give in to the crazy craving (my stomach becomes a bottomless pit) and I start to fall off my workouts when I’m pmsing. It makes me feel even more sluggish depressed. Seeing you push through on your period is so motivating. I need to remember I can go easier on myself without getting completely off track.

I love love LOVE this video. It’s so common to watch an influencer like Diana on instagram alone and think that she has this “fairy tale” perfect regime. But watching her youtube videos and how easily it is to relate to her personally as well as in the gym like her day 4 is comforting. She’s very real with her videos. My absolute favorite influencer/ youtuber / fellow gym goer 🫶🏻

Thank you for this video, it is so real. I always feel terrible the week leading up to and during my period both mentally and physically. It can be very discouraging and frustrating to feel like I am regressing in my lifts at the gym. I seriously need to work on being more gentle and kinder with myself during this time.

If you wear a tampon and a liner then the likelihood of leaking is small, also you feel it before it’s got thru the pad so can get to the bathroom, but if you have really heavy periods u could add in shorts for another layer too, as a dancer I’ve never had any accidents wearing both a tampon and pad for extra protection and I’m in a leotard during mine 🫠💖

girl, I love the consistency !! my PMS symptoms are extreme nearly all month long every month due to two health conditions I am struggling with (PCOS and endometriosis) so I understand how it is frustrating as hell. my lower back also gets the most issues out of it all.

Total relate to this video! I also have the back cramps, it’s really rare for me to get the pelvic/stomach cramps. And yes, it’s freaking annoying bc it’s like a chronic non stop pain for the whole period 🫠

From what I know... it depends on how your uterus is positioned in your body. If tilted back, you're more likely to experience cramps in your back rather than your stomach.

I appreciate this, my periods are short but intense. I can barely make it through a work out on day one but definitely not a back day lol. Learning to allow myself to take it easy on those days.

Thank you so much for sharing! I read “In The Flo” by Alissa Vitti and started cycle syncing. I learned that our cycle has four different phases and because of that our energy and strength change. It is not recommended to do high impact workouts during our late luteal phase and menstrual phase, because our progesterone levels are low and our body is shedding the endometrium, because of that our body wants us to rest. Of course is totally okay to not workout if you are not feeling like it, but if you want to stay active while bleeding you can go for a walk, do ying yoga, mat pilates (in a low intensity), work on mobility or just use a foam roaller!

I love this video right here. You don't see this kind of content often. I’m glad that it doesn't go unnoticed. People get icky when we females talk about it. I always go to the gym on my period. The week before it starts, I am so WEAK, too! I hate it. The week of my period, I’m hitting weights that I’ve never done before 🤣 I question who I am sometimes, lol. P.S. Some people don’t know about the Kodiak Booty-Hole Cramps we get occasionally. I be fighting for my life. 😭 Anyways, I love you, bye 💙

Just a tip, I have always been actively asking and reading about menstrual cycle and asking friends, but the thing that has helped me a lot is having friends in med school, I always asked them about anything that comes to my mind related to the body and how it works, from menstrual cycle to why some stuff hurts. Of course add the content that I consume being towards taking care of the body. Hope this helps

I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and just wanted to say I love how real you are❤ and before I started my birth control I got horrible back cramps and only harsh shocks randomly in my front but the majority was at the back and it was horrible

i get both kind of cramps, stomach and lower back and it kills me, i have to rest the first two days of my period in order to survive the pain and by day three i can get myself to workout again like you did in the beggining of the video

You burn more cals the week before your period 7-10% more but people who have extreme pms symptoms that carry over to their period week can experience this then too. Your body tells you when you need more food, so if ur more hungry then I would listen tov that not Google xx

Ok love this but I got the opposite from this video. Aside from the people that have endometriosis and other problems, I think that most people use their period as an excuse not to go the gym at all. If we count PMS week and period week, that's probably two weeks a month. Imagine if you didn't work out half the month!

@@LucidKay9114 I specified aside from people who have those problems. Many don't. They'll just have a headache or be in a bad mood, both of which can be improved by doing some resistance work at the gym or cardio.
