Really love the old ‘Performer’ design. I play bass, and I played a mint green Fender Performer bass around 1990/‘92. I loved that bass, although it had its issues. She needed a full set-up before every rehearsal or gig! Because of her, I taught myself how to set-up my basses back in the day. I traded her in for a Ernie Ball StingRay I play to this day: set-ups are way more easy!! But she was a looker and sounded so beautiful! I love playing in my bands until this day; I’m an old geezer now, but I would love it if Fender would reissue the Performer bass!! I’ll get one: I miss her. I play various other brands too, but I’m a Fender person first and foremost, because of her: the Performer bitch... (I don’t mean to offend anybody by the notion of ‘bitch’ in this comment: she was a beautiful sounding but hard to work with bassguitar. I learned a lot because of her.
