Have a frame and was looking for a vid like this. As always thanks

Diatone is making great stuff these days! Great little frame and the 2018GT Normal plus is a game changer, there is so little propwash and it feels weightless doing flips and rolls.

I enjoy this type of video.... also I prefer when you narrate in the flight footage, kinda giving us an idea about how it compares to others or how it corners ect. Keep up the Great videos !

I'd be interested in seeing this frame built with the spedix 20a and the brotherhobby 1106 or EMAX 1106

Thank you for answering my question. I have one last question.. What motors do you recommend for 2inch props? I would rather have longer fight times over speed. Thanks again
@outcastfpv6 жыл бұрын
There are two of those rubber bands included in the bnf kit, you just have to take it apart to fit them
@AlbertKimTV6 жыл бұрын
Yep, it was hiding in one of the baggies in the main BNF buried in with all the other goodies. 😜
@jamesloyal62716 жыл бұрын
What about adding 1404 superman motors?
@AlbertKimTV6 жыл бұрын
Those motors are meant for 3 inch props not 2-inch.

I also order this frame kit. I am waiting for the build review and curious wich 20x20 components you will use for this frame.

Please, make a budget build with it for beginners, maybe first FPV micro drone suggestion (with Betaflight tips and configs included). It would be great to see a budget build for those with can't spend on high-end builds. After all, this is a 15USD frame and could be a good entry model. Also I loved the fact it has guar props. It makes of this frame the best frame for those jumping into the FPV hobby.
@AlbertKimTV6 жыл бұрын
+SuperR0ck FPV build or BNF? Which one?
@hdf0016 жыл бұрын
Sorry. That is the problem with us, the beginners. Too much acronyms. I meant FPV build, easy to config (specially in Betaflight, failsafe config), without too much surprises after putting all pieces together.
@AlbertKimTV6 жыл бұрын
I'm thinking about what frame/parts would make for an easy micro build without a lot of pitfalls. It seems the really super cheap route has more issues for beginners so I can make a video for super cheap, but harder for beginners, or a little more pricey and easier for beginners. I'm leaning towards the later.
@pa_maj.MARTINI-van-MAN6 жыл бұрын
Easy, sensible, KISS, Good flight characteristics as in fast ENOUGH, agile ENOUGH, good flight times and BFight instructions to set it up plus flashing flight controller instructions if needed, Oh, almost forgot, pretty resilient to moderate crashes and easy available parts plus a Good cmos camera but preferably a CCD camera, 2" up to 3", looks great or at least good and does not cost the earth but may cost the moon and I'd give it a go! It would be my first brushless. I've never bought one yet because I've always found something that needs changed, fixed or just out of stock when there's been a heavy price drop :( Can you do it? YES he CAN! His name is Albert Kim ;) Anyone interested in this that's reading this that's not already subscribed to Albert's channel PLEASE subscribe and support, you know it makes sense!

btw..did you ever do that custom build using the frame kit?

Not yet. Haven't had time with all the pre-built models coming in. I've had to put it on the back burner for now.

What frame would be a "treath" to this one,you think? Spc maker? To expensive to compare? :)
@AntonA006 жыл бұрын
Hello! Do you think it's a good idea to get this frame and move the electrics from my mantis 85? It looks like it's only 1g heavier. I will have to fiddle do get the 16mm stack in place and 3d print a camera mount.
@AlbertKimTV6 жыл бұрын
It should work ok, just the camera mount and finding a way to mount the stack is the issue as you already know.
@EagleEyePilot6 жыл бұрын
Albert, PLEASE do not use the Stack cage. It is too brittle, try the HGLRC XJB F428 stack using their M2 steel screws to hold the stack.
@HTWRS_4R6 жыл бұрын
2 X Rubber band came with mine. BTW this R90 flies really good with your PID.
@Mewted6 жыл бұрын
rubber band in kit, but not arf - you have the opportunity to put the rubber bands in position as battery straps without taking _everything_ apart. the included battery strap is garbage..just ordered some rubberized ones from rdq. might have to trim them, we'll see.
@AlbertKimTV6 жыл бұрын
I use dollar store rubber bands and if you want to see how to install watch my video kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXSoYYtpZcmrqrc

I broke my lizard frame can I just put my lizard guts in this frame? will the 3n1 stack fit?
@AlbertKimTV6 жыл бұрын
Everything will fit but you'll need to get a smaller receiver and not use the 3rd board.

Great video and always so informative! I love these smaller frames because they are so responsive and durable. My flying sucks so I've crashed lots at high speeds without any damage.

Hey Albert, thanks again for the video!! I do have a request though. When doing reviews like this, please compare the products to other similar products you have reviewed IF possible. This frame seems awesome but it would be nice to see pros and cons versus other options. Regardless, thank you for your videos. They are big help.

I just ordered this frame, my lizard never worked so I’m migrating motors and camera to the gtr90, with a hglrc xjb f428 stack so it should be beastly.

Dude, you sold me on this one about a month ago. Im waiting on mine in the mail. I got it expedited, but I guess some bad storms are delaying it. Can't wait to fly this thing. I'll even put some expo on throttle and do an indoor video with it! Haha

Very nice. I’m assuming that you do not have to use the printed cage for the stack. Between the braces and the plastic parts there are quite a lot of components. It’s great that Diatone offers low cost replacements. Do you know if this will be available in a 3”?
@AlbertKimTV6 жыл бұрын
+J Renwick I don't believe a 3 in version is in the works

What is the total weight of the frame with all the screws and plastic pieces?
@AlbertKimTV6 жыл бұрын
About 18g
@mikeorion51506 жыл бұрын
Albert Kim That's about the weight of the SPC Maker 95X frame. It looks very light.

Hi albert what would be a good vtx that would fit besides the unify and im using the evolution so im guessing the smallest reciever for that would work cant remember the num of it

Isn't that plastic cage with M3 mounting holes? Most of mini stacks/flight controllers are M2. Lizard and all micro Eachine models for example
@AlbertKimTV6 жыл бұрын
With an M2 washer you can use whatever you want and not have to use the plastic cage. I plan to build one without it and the HGLRC F428 stack.
@geogsi886 жыл бұрын
Yes, but for me, the best new feature of this frame is easy soft mounting. Yes, frame itself is high quality, but it would be even better to use a cage. Maybe it could be machined to M2. After all it is plastic material
@Sully3656 жыл бұрын
Just had a quick glance, will this support 1306 or just 11xx? Only asking as i have a spare set of 1306 and I'm looking for bargains
@AlbertKimTV6 жыл бұрын
Motors with the 11xx hole pattern will work. There's a 1404 and 1304 motor that also fits this hole pattern.
@marksherman6306 жыл бұрын
Like the frame. I've seen people flip the arm protectors over and install on the top of arm (between motor and arm) to provide a soft mount. What do you think about that? Also, does the VTx holder only work for the prebuilt component, or could you use a VTx03?
@AlbertKimTV6 жыл бұрын
+Mark Sherman vtx holder was designed for a thin board... the large LED on the vtx03 is not gonna work
@marksherman6306 жыл бұрын
OK Thanks. Any comment on flipping over the arm protectors to provide motor soft mounts?
@AlbertKimTV6 жыл бұрын
The arm bumpers are a hard plastic so not sure the vibration dampening effect will be that much.
@marksherman6306 жыл бұрын
Ok, not Tomo tpu.
