To Bricky, the way reanimation works now, when a warrior dies, it actually dies, reanimating means you can put back a warrior in coherency with the unit, meaning you can deny some shots from enemy units if you move around your unit due to your warriors dying and reanimating elsewhere , I know you're chilling in these games, but at least you know the possibility ^^

I guess I assumed that since it triggered after every shot rather than at the start of the turn or whatever, that it no longer needed to worry about the squad being wiped. But I haven't been able to play against necron.

I feel like strategic deployment behind terrain and more deep strike units + more "elite"/durable units are a way to go nowadays with nids. Zoantrophs, Tyranid Warriors, Ripper Swarms and HIVE GUARD with some cheap HQ like Neurothrope, Broodlord etc. and Exocrine for anty elite/vehicle. I feel like instead of melee unit + Trygon Prime deep striking it is better to use some shooting+melee unit with him. Probably

@@magearamil8626 kinda. The best lists are mostly Nidzilla with troops and lictors for obsec and secondary point scoring. Kraken for melee beasties like Dimas, Swarmlord and rending claws Flyrant. Kronos with a Symbio neurothrope and hive guard and Exocrine.

It won't be competitive but it will have units I like the look of which is what got me liking Necrons when they were released in 3rd Edition nearly 20 years ago. I was a massive Terminator fan and they're the closest you can get to it in 40k. I've just pre-ordered the Combat Patrol and very very slowly painting by way through the Indomitus box. Would love to get the Eradication Legion too but it's way over priced now it's out of print.

You can't advance your dimachaeron AFTER manifesting that psychic power on it, right? It has to be done during the movement phase, and then you use the power to see if it gets to still charge... if I'm wrong hopefully someone will let me know because I've been playing wrong.

If you use Swarmlord's Hive Commander ability to move a unit during your shooting phase it would be eligible to advance since it specifically says "and advance if you wish."
