Cartoon Network and Adult Swim had a series of crazy items for sale on their website, but to this day we've never seen them in-person.

honestly out of the items, the one you singled out as being the craziest and most implausible; easily makes the most sense. I could easily imagine a hot-air balloon tour company buying one if they could work out buying the balloon also gives the rights to use it as a business with Cartoon Network.

The Meatwad balloon was made they stressed the need to sell it at the time and lowered the price a few times. I don't think any of the super high ticket stuff like the tree house was ever done but the Meatwad balloon did exist there used to be pictures of it it was made for an adult swim festival and they sold it after or atleast tried to I don't think it ever sold I watched it for years and I think they finally just pulled it down. My point being is the Meatwad balloon was real they had it made for an event and then tried to sell it for the meme the rest of the products were all mock ups but I imagine the Balloon doesn't exist anymore unless someone has kept it up wherever it ended up

Are you thinking of the Meatwad dome I showed at the end of the video? That was used at a convention but I've never come across evidence that the hot air balloon was shown off at a festival.
@johnmobile5747
@johnmobile5747 6 ай бұрын
No it isnt the dome/igloo. The balloon was made sometime around the aqua teen movie was then attempted to be sold to balloon riding venues/ at auction around 2009 no one bought it so the people responsible for it worked with the joke promotion around 2010 (the one with the fountains) to try and actually sell the thing as a way to appease accountants. Once again no one bought it. No idea where it is now but there used to be footage of it flying at some festival. I followed the thing for years cause I was interested in it. Various fan wikis will say it was never made built to order etc but you might can find footage of it looking at festival footage from 2007-2010 not just adult swim festivals either they were trying to recoup the cost of the thing and would rent it out to whoever. Also to be clear when I say festival I dont mean the modern Adult Swim animation festival that started in 2018 back in the day adult swim would promote at alot of shows art/ music festivals clubs etc. This is because alot of the creatives and executives of the time frequented these places and people would use their job to do something cool at a venue they liked. There was alot of this in the goth club scene too if you wanted to meet a lot of old adult swim and cartoon network alumni you would have a good chance in a little goth club in 2010. This is basically the only place i could think of that would have documented the balloons existence like just some cam video from the time of someone at one of these shows but I wouldnt know specifically what to look for cause this is when Adult Swim just promoted at venues vs hosting their own and they did this at many places over the years. Maybe google index search by year for festivals adult swim appeared/advertised at from 2007-2010 also Dethklok concerts or any other adult swim adjacent bands

Well some of these concepts are unrealistically underpriced. The custom car is supposedly a pristine vintage model. Where are they going to find one in running condition, let alone appropriate for further modification? The KND treehouse would cost way more than a million. The Space Ghost table has an issue, any time you include some technology into a special product it risks making it very dated (like those Hotwheels branded PCs and stuff)

@manfail7469
@manfail7469 5 ай бұрын
@@jakobxr not really, cars from the 70s rust way more than cars from the 90s and usually needed leaded gas, which took tons of them off the road. Cars from the 90s had effective forms of rustproofing and had very little reasons to take them off the road than just aging. Also a Plymouth roadrunner wasn't like a Camry, even 20 years ago. There was already a collector car scene surrounding them by the 90s

I think Pan made this point in his video but most of this was mere conceptual art to give a potential buyer an idea of what it might look like, having them built before knowing if there was any real interest woulda cost so much money to begin with on somethings already super speculative to begin with. Not sure to what degree most of this woulda been be able to be recreated anyways so even if they did exist they probably wouldnt be as extravagant. Still pretty cool though to think about living in the KND treehouse.

As neat as some of things would be to exist on paper, they require a LOT of logistical issues to navigate. For example, even if someone bought and made the KND Treehouse and it was liviable, that's still an area valued at over a million dollars, that alone would cause the interest rates of the property to skyrocket, that "house" wouldn't be a one time investment, it would need to be payed off continually and the neighbors would be beyond pissed, to say nothing about the maintenance cost of it, which unless you have the knowhow of a Disney imagineer and the budget of Disney itself, most people would need. And selling the stupid thing would be a hassle too, because again, it would valued over 1 million dollars, and considering its a novelty area at best, based on an IP only children at the time would've cared about means almost nobody would buy it. All of which would cause a LOT of controversy with CN/Warner Bros, and KND, and likely would've gotten the show cancelled before it had the chance to end. This isn't baseless speculation either, this is almost exactly beat what has happened with the reality show Extreme House Makeover. Now this the most extreme example, but the Meatwad Balloon would cause its own set of issues, something I think they knew when they included little things like they buyer having a pilot license, and just saying that isn't cheap itself, and that isn't the only license you need safely opperate a hot air balloon.

$70,000 sounds like a lot of money for a hot air balloon until you realize that a hot air balloon usually costs around $30,000 to $50,000. Plus you get a one hour ride in it which can usually cost about $360 per person (but can get up to $500) depending on where you live, season, time of day, etc. You're also paying for the branding, like luxury items, so the cost is increased. Hot air balloons are expensive.

Yeah, every once in a while you might come across a video that either has some minor audio, visual, or loading glitches, but within a couple hours (in my experience, at least), they tend to get fixed!

The meatwad balloon seems very reasonable to me, there are many balloons with wacky custom designs. Like they say in the desciption: The balloon is not actually made by AS, they just place a custom order at a normal balloon company. Like people do with t-shirt prints

The only way I could see it existing is if some rich person back then bought these for their family/kid and don't want to talk about it and or live more private lives. So it's possible, but highly unlikely they exist. Maybe the car, desk or fountain. Even then, I'd question why you would want to own a peeing fountain that spurts blood. XD Even if a fan, logically why?

yo you earned a sub, but i have one thing: i have this real hazy memory of me watching a psa like video, probably associated with The Real Cost?? i have a summary of the video: dad rides motorcycle with kid, kid falls off and gets stuck on train track, ryan's toy review dad lookalike screams in agony as kid gets run over both dad and train driver thumbs up then a at real cost ending shows up.. if you see this, idk

and yes, the dad looked near identical to ryan toy review's dad. im so sure its not a dream either, it felt so.. Real.

I feel like this would have been dismissed if it was an April Fools joke, but this promotion made in November of 2003, which makes people believe it's legitimate. Yet because there's no proof of any of these products existing, it feels overly enigmatic. If any of these items DO exist, I imagine they're out there somewhere in the wild, likely in the hands of collectors... except maybe that KND treehouse, which at this point would have been torn down.
