The reason the sixth “The Wacky Adventures of Ronald McDonald” video was so rare was because unlike the first five that were sold at McDonald’s, the sixth video was only available for purchase from the Klasky Csupo online store. It was a mystery to me for years about what happened to that final episode as I loved those videos as a kid and would wonder about what became of it as it was advertised at the end of the fifth video, but I could never find it what happened to it until I heard about the search and its discovery.

There is so much lost media when it comes to KZbin Poop. I remember a Mario Head YTP where he sounded like Donkey from "Shrek", and the video ended with him singing "Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head". I could never find the video again ever since I saw it for the first time. I wouldn't be surprised if it was deleted. I believe YTP's don't get archived enough as other forms of media, which is why I have been downloading my favorite YTP's so I can reupload them on a separate channel if anything happens to them.

It even had the same art style as those old Soviet propaganda posters. I hope there's a single other person who remembers that drawing because I feel like a lunatic even describing it. I find international dubs super interesting, and have spent quite some years archiving the dubs of the media I consume. It's sad to see that us «dub nerds» have got a bad reputation thanks to some annoying kids who didn't know what they were doing. If anyone ever wants to find a place with a competent staff and user community where foreign dubs are taken seriously, I'd recommend checking out the DubDB and Lost Dubbing wikis (and the Spanish-language counterpart, DEI Wiki).

Yeah, even if the Lost Media Wiki may not be the best community to search for subs/dubs given their fear of flooding a topic, there really is value in preserving some of these alternate versions. There’s the nostalgic factor for those who grew up with them, they’re good teaching tools, and sometimes there are script changes that only speakers of the language would catch. Then there are complete botch jobs or just weird creative choices, like having the original cast of The Three Caballeros dub it in 7 different languages, most of which they barely spoke. Having dabbled in such a search, I know most of Nickelodeon’s early Swedish dubs are at best locked in some archive, with distribution hell preventing them from seeing the light of day. I’ve heard tell the Swedish dub of Ren & Stimpy had a one-off character actually swear (in the og he’s fake-swearing, like Yosemite Sam). The Swedish version went something like ”Vid höge farao och alla helvetes jävlar, va’ fan håller ni på med?!” (=”By the mighty faroe and all the devils of hell, wtf are you doing?!”). I actually timed this line with the scene, it would have synced up. Just an anecdote on dubs being wild. Edit: Dubs of minority languages can be especially useful in teaching future generations, such as the Navajo dub of Finding Nemo or the Northern Sami dub of Frozen 2. TL;DR I find it really ignorant to dismiss all dubs as derivative and pointless to preserve coming from English-speaking U.S. Americans.
@Stathio
@Stathio 2 жыл бұрын
I don't get the weird dismissal of dubs in other languages, it comes across as basically just kinda xenophobic. Just because they don't mean anything to you personally doesn't mean they aren't useful and important to other people. Different language dubs also regularly change the meanings and context of dialogue etc., which is fascinating to look into.
@kitkatboard
@kitkatboard 2 жыл бұрын
Maybe not xenophobic but definitely "englishcentric" (does that word exist ? probably not). Native English speakers tend to forget non-native need to LEARN their language and certainly don't have to. It's pretty easy to say "just watch it in English lol" when you've never felt the need to learn an entire fucking language because yours was so obscure...

I think that dubs are sometimes very important for lost media and preservation Because even if a dub of a worldwide well known series as spongebob in some very small regional language is irrelevant except for that small amount of people, It can lead to some very unknown lost media, some of it pretty interesting For example, I'm from Valencia, Spain, and my first language is valencian, so anything in my regional language and not in Spanish is cool to find, because there's not too much "modern media" being translated but sometimes, our regional TV channels bought and translated a lot of animation forms different places, so you probably could find some "lost" anime, occidental animation and kid TV shows thanks to following the lead of some more know and popular show but with our language also, we have a long history of animation production here, derived from previous collaborations between Spain-France-Japan-Italy in some animated shows (since the 80's), so you sometimes can find things pretty unique Also I sometimes found forums and blogs where people like me shared this content and also included some programs dedicated to show traditional food, songs, games, etc about almost every place in my small region inside Spain So all in all, maybe dubs are not relevant or interesting at all, but can lead to bigger and more important media recoveries!

I've always for some reason been fascinated with lost dubs or just dubs of cartoons in general. As a kid, I'd sit for hours watching foreign versions of My Little Pony FIM because I loved hearing how different all the characters sounded and it was interesting to see that some dubs were of much lower quality than the others, idk I just found it so fascinating. I recently found out that a bunch of British dubs of cartoons I watched as a kid are completely lost and that's crazy to me! For example, I grew up thinking that The Backyardigans was a British TV show and was astonished to find out that the British dub is now lost after watching it so much as a kid. Same goes for other shows such as Max & Ruby, Little Einsteins, Wonder Pets, Wow Wow Wubbzy... I could go on for so long!

I know that the English speakers look down to dubs, but in my country dubs are considered a form of art even, so I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment that dubs should be considered lost media and be taken seriously. I mean, you don't care about the Albanian Spongebob dub, but what about the people in Albania who grew up with those voices and now the way they remember their childhood cartoon is lost to time.

To people who think that certain dubs are not worth finding: Why should xy american/british/other native english speaking country thing be worth finding? Especially looking at the fact that most of the world has not grown up in these countries or are even native english speakers. Not to say that native english speakers need to personally care about every bit of foreign lost media but I wish there was less universal dismissal from them when foreign dub searches come up.

In Romania, the lost dubs of cartoons are a huge interesting point in lost media. We didn't receive pretty common VHS releases or DVD/VCD releases back in early-mid 2000s (because piracy), in 2007 it started to spread like wildfire. Mostly of the Romanian dub that we see on internet (especially Out of the Jimmy's Head) are recorded from TV and recordings sometimes get deleted due to copyright strikes or dead links.

The lost media I've become obsessed with is Flash stuff. I have a giant archive of Flash movies and games personally that I haven't seen in a long time on any websites, and keep meaning to check out the LMW to see if I have any of the lost ones. There is one movie, in particular, that I do not have and really wish I did. No one else seems to remember it at all, but I'll describe it. It was a song with a rather high pitched voice sort of rapping "Hot hot...hot hot hot hot sauce!" with various pictures and drawings of jalapeno peppers...then the lyrics become "hot jala-jalapeno, hot jala-jalapeno hot hOT HOT HOT HOT!" while an animation of two featureless jalapenos...mating doggy style while the green one slaps the red one's....chili...butt? In any case, it spread like wildfire around my high school back in 2003 or so, and I had it downloaded back then...but that was nearly 20 years and many hard drives ago. It's not on SWFChan...and the Flash collection at the Internet Archive leaves much to be desired.

There are 2 YTPs I've been trying to find for ages since I first saw them as a kid. The first was made with footage from the Zelds CDI games. It starts with Zelda and the King listening to music. Suddenly Link farts and this causes the King to start spazzing out. At one point he does the SEGA chant (slowed down) and after a while he grows these horns. It shows Link and Zelda with Wookiee growls, then the King grows a Virtual Boy and t to attack Link. I remember at one point Scatman John comes in and starts blasting away with a machine gun. The second was an Ed Edd n Eddy YTP. It's the scene from the episode where the Eds live at Rolf's place and are being annoying. The YTP starts with the scene where Ed finally stops snoring and Rolf thinks he's about to finally go to sleep. Suddenly the smoke detector goes off and that's when the YTP actually starts, with all sorts of spazzing out effects and earrape. I remember the YTP was titled "Rolf." and at one point there was a sibling video named ".floR" that was just the same video reversed. I wish I could find these videos, but I suspect they may have been lost forever.

I remember a KZbin Poop that was unfortunately lost to time, made by the guy that did Ice Cream for Dinner. It involves The King going to Coney Island Disco Palace to, of course, dance with other YTP characters, until Link shows up with his giant ass afro that pretty much destroyed the palace in half. It was sadly gone due to the creator's account being taken down.

The Albanian SpongeBob dub literally reminds me of that Looney Tunes Show episode where Daffy goes to the army & fights in an Albanian prison. Crazy thing is, there WAS a 1993 Sega Genesis game that was lost for a long time, but was dumped last year called Outback Joey & wouldn't you believe it's MORE BIZARRE than Kekcroc?

Not neccesarily a youtube poop, but I remember this old Gmod video that was titled: "Painis Cupcake meets Dora and Boots" The video consisted of Dora and Boots not as 3D models but poorly drawn 2D images with their voices being dubbed over by the Demoman and the Scout. The dialouge went something with Dora saying, "Eyyy, we did it!" and Boots exclaiming "Wooo!!" And creeping behind them seconds then was Painis Cupcake, who notices the two and makes his trademark creepy smile, chuckling before he devores the two but done in a very comical way rather then being gory.

You know, if you're still into KZbin Poops, there are some really great modern-day poopers that you should check. I can name off a few for you ITeachVader He is the modern-day equivalent of the old Robotnik pooper but adds his own flair of jokes that make it unique to him. He also makes original songs using Robtnik dialogue mixed with sounds and music ques from Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog with catchy results Jimmy Davis One of the most well known in terms of CD-I poops and a great sentence mixer and animator to boot as well. He can meld memes into these CD-i characters like they came straight from the games themselves and his sentence mixing is so top notch, you'd think it's one of those AI voice generators. TheChewanater He's specialty is using the Zelda CD-i character Morshu (and a few others) and making song parodies out of his two single lines to surprising effect Hoffy1388 Known for his I.M. Meen Outtakes series and use lots of explosions and jet planes in his videos Others I can recommend are MLPFun NPCarlsson NDM64 Lulu Luvscats MLPFun Jeff Lindblom Silver C Stick

YTP is a bread and butter to the Internet memes on KZbin but my favorite is MLG memes. It's like YTP but the editing is absolutely bizarre and chaotic, that it is the true peak of comedy. Though, KZbin Poop is still going strong to this day and age, but KZbinrs like Bosh revolutionized the idea of funny edits with something more unique and experimental.

man YTPs were my favorite things to watch growing up too. I mostly watched ones related to Steven Universe and I vaguely remember one YTP with Peridot and Yellow Diamond in it that was my absolute favorite because it was just so funny to me. I think it was about the Cluster being dubbed the C###sucker and Yellow Diamond’s angry yelling was stitched together so she said something like: You are to leave the C###sucker to grow. It will tear you apart, and I will take immense satisfaction in f###### you!!! i don’t remember the title anymore and i tried finding it using related terms. it could be lost or not lol

My lost ytp story was “SpongeBob and Plankton run a sex shop” an all out classic. Now at least on KZbin the video only survives as with reaction commentary over it and as a meme. There was another ytp make by some user who went by “cancer” on Instagram. I remember the scene from a meme. Basically it’s the canned bread scene and as squidward grabs the can, the screen starts glitching with flashing lights and static. I don’t remember this one as clearly.

On the episode of The Simpsons "Homer Goes To College" The dean says "I used to play bass for Metallica" probably without realizing what happened to Cliff Burton. Ever since the original airing he has said "I used to play bass for "The Pretenders." It is basically impossible to Google it at this point though as Metallica has been on an episode of The Simpsons and Homer has played bass on an episode, so all searches turn up results for those. I would love to find someone with a recording of the initial airing of the episode.

nice to see a international dub in this video, I find it funny because there was a lost albanian that aired in 2007 on Top Channel, but a year ago Top Channel re-aired the dub also the "apparent" lost dub from Cufo isn't lost and was never lost there just a few missing episodes, but Spongebob airs alot on Cufo so the missing episodes can be found quickly if recorded from Cufo

There was one youtube poop that aways stuck in my head as one I could never find again. Both clips I remember were rfom Gaston. One was "Lefou Im afraid I've been noodling." "A dangerous pastime" "Yes". I think I mostly rememer it because I had to google what nooding was.... Either in the same video or one by the same creator was also part of the gaston song but instead it was "Right now Im evolving a kakuna!" and then it went into the pokemon evolution music. I dont kno wwhy those have stuck in my head for literally years at this point but I never could find them. Made especially difficult by the fact I dont remember the video title or username, just those couple of quotes.

Stylistically, Kekcroc looks nothing like the 3-D rendering that was being done in 1993. I suspect it was more believable to younger individuals, who either weren't born, or were too young to remember the type 3-D computer renderings being made at that time. I'm not sure about anyone else, but any time-period I was old enough to retain clear memories from, I have a pretty good idea of what the media from that era looked like, and frankly the box-art associated with Kekcroc just SCREAMS post-1996.

More people need to use evidence like THIS to debunk a hoax, rather than just going "It has kek in the title so its obviously a shitpost" as if kek weren't a nonsense word that could've been "invented" at any point before being a meme.

The catchphrases are also... kinda clearly jokes, in the same way "It's Morbin Time" is. At the time, nobody wanted to be seen as a cheesy game, but whoever made Kekcroc is clearly being intentional, and not in the cringy Gex or Bubsy way.

A lost KZbin video I remember watching is one called the Cussing Orange by Lifeinatent, who was infamous for his “Thumbs up for epic earthquake” video. I tried to look in the way back machine because I remember seeing the video during April of 2011 with one of my elementary school friends, but to no avail. I doubt that I’m having a Mandela effect because I distinctly remember the lines from the video like “Hey, you’re an asshole.”, “Dane ate them. Where did the marshmallows go?”, etc.
