The legibility on this combination is really low I would like to see a couple different dial colors before I can make a final assessment. Great Video Thanks Guy 👍

Thanks Eric.

For a similar reason, I bought the black dial version… and I think it’s worth it all day, every day. Bremont nailed it IMHO. It gives me pleasure every time I reach to put it on… 👏

I read somewhere … cosc is for Swiss made only . Since this movement does not adhere to that they cannot get it COSC certified . They made this H1 standard similar to cosc
@myhonesttake75279 ай бұрын
That's exactly what I was about to comment.
@remus2001 Жыл бұрын
Isn’t the reason that Bremont doesn’t use COSC because they’re not Swiss?
@JustBlueFish Жыл бұрын
I didn’t think of that, good point. Probably not the only reason but it does disqualify them apparently.

Correct and it’s Breyh-mont; British brand with a French name.
@scottsj4625 Жыл бұрын
This is the second time I heard of this brand in 5 years and the other reviewer said they were overpriced and hard as heck to sell if you need to. I am not sure if you mentioned this but the butterfly clasp has no micro adjustments and the watches are made in the UK.
@JustBlueFish Жыл бұрын
Yeah like most watch brands not named Rolex, these don't hold value. It's only a negative if you expect to sell in the future. But that applies the 99% of the watches you might buy.

Price? Also, your description is wrong.

Thanks fixed the description. Oh, and the price is $8995.

METAS/COSC/Whatever seems a little superfluous, given how good most movements are these days. As for Bremont... the designs really don't speak to me, and the marketing pitch jars too. Then there's the price.
@AverageBros Жыл бұрын
I'm still blown away that Bremont so cavalierly claim this movement to be in-house, when it's just the same movement Horage uses, with a few plates being swapped out, licenced out for use. Maybe a Manufacture movement would be more accurate? I'm not sure, brands have come up with so many ways to imply in-house while not actually producing in-house movements, it can be maddening at times. Great review though Guy, well shot and narrated as usual.
@chia-mingyang5804 Жыл бұрын
As I know they have bought the movement right and do make it in their own movement factory. Probably not most people's definition of in-house though...
@clemfandango9534 Жыл бұрын
That simply isn’t correct.
@watchenthusiastlondon Жыл бұрын
Sorry @averagebros, love your channel, but on this point, you’re misfiring and simply incorrect. Bremont have been at pains to explain what they have done on the ENG movement. Check it out…
@AverageBros Жыл бұрын
@@watchenthusiastlondon I get that they manufacture some of the parts and assemble them on-site but it was an existing movement from an existing manufacturer. What am I missing here?
@AverageBros Жыл бұрын
@@clemfandango9534 What would be correct? To be fair, my initial post also over simplified things, so I'm guilty of it too.

I am a follower of this channel since long time and I always valued the honesty and transparency of Guy up to the level of sometimes feeling he is too harsh. However, this is the first time to feel he is very soft and the whole video seems like a paid ad to the brand. Sorry but these are the vibes I got from this video
@JustBlueFish Жыл бұрын
Sorry you feel that way but I’m definitely not being paid to promote the Watch brand. My channel sponsor is Exquisite Timepieces and while I do promote their store (because they’re awesome), I’m free to choose any watches I want to review and free to say whatever I want about the watches.

I want to like Bremont, they seem to be trying hard and the quality is definitely there…but although this is pleasant enough it just looks like an overpriced Oris. I’m not convinced.
@JustBlueFish Жыл бұрын
I haven’t seen every Oris, but I’ve seen many. This is nicer than most - despite Oris being excellent in its own right.
@watchenthusiastlondon Жыл бұрын
Agree - it’s noticing superior to Oris…

Shrink the size to maybe 38mm diameter (given how integrated bracelet designs wear large) and halve the price and Bremont might have a hit on their hands... At 42mm and $9k, I think they've overshot their market. The authenticity of the "in-house" movement also needs to be stated. I saw Mark from Avg Bros already mentioned it in the comments and this was a topic I would have expected to be addressed.
@bobfromatlanta8991 Жыл бұрын
I don't particularly like the design. Each element seems well done but the sum feels like a forced marriage between ideas. At $9k, whose first thought isn't immediately what Rolex/Omega/other top 5 luxury watch they could get instead? Seems a tough bracket to compete in. Should have priced it at $50k.
@donniedarko4284 Жыл бұрын
That’s Not TRUE!!! Rolex and Omega both submit there watches to C.O.S.C! As well as go above and beyond to further test. In Omega’s case METAS is not there own but a second outside agency… So your not correct….!! Bremonts in house Only Test is completely Basic and what every watchmaker that doesn’t submit there movement to a outside agency should do. Especially at the price Bremont Charges… they better regulate there damn watch… Don’t help Bremont pass there cost cutting off as Something Special !… SHANE ON YOU Shane
@remus2001 Жыл бұрын
Bremont is English. They are not allowed to submit their movements to COSC for testing.

You must be new to watches? They had a huge controversy in 2014. But I guess I shouldn’t assume noobs have been in the watch hobby for 8-9 years.
