You get robbed for your submariner and not for your speedmaster. Besides that the Speedmaster is used for EVA in space and for North Pole expeditions. So don’t tell me it is not rugged and durable.

I like springdrive and have wished to at least get to try it some time. But it seems to get more expensive each year and the models, somehow less diverse. The first models were not branded Grand Seiko and had a more modern (and perhaps austere) design and aesthetic. The models available now are in the narrow spectrum of Grand Seiko and I wish they were available in more sporty, perhaps even playful designs. The chronograph and diver models have busy, unusual dials mainly because of the mandatory power reserve indicator and are thicker thanks to the spring drive movements. Only a few years ago they released a thinner movement with the power reserve on the back. I would like to see thinner, sportier or even casual designs. If we get crazy why not a womens watch. At this point I am closer to being 50 and over, which seems to be the market they are aiming for. It's like Seiko took the automatic movement into the future but was afraid of breaking with tradition.

It's odd. Sometimes this Hamilton says "Swiss Made" and on other ones it doesn't.

The Oris Divers Sixty-Five and all of the iterations such as the new Divers Date are extremely light, and extraordinarily comfortable. I own this exact watch with both the drab strap, and a tropic rubber strap and find the drab textile strap looks better in person than in print or video. As far as accuracy goes, mine runs about +2 seconds per day. When it comes to power reserve, sadly I don’t believe mine comes close to its specified 38 hour reserve. I truly enjoy my ‘65 Heritage.

I know its a diver video, but if I wanted a seiko 6R movement I would get an alpinist for half the price of the spb143. Also at 1000-1500 usd range, you may look at doxa sub 600t. I donno why that watch is never talked about. Every time doxa comes up on any yt channel its only about tge sub 200t. Doxa as a brand and the 600t needs to be more popular I guess

I just want something that fits on my wrist and doesn't have the tail end of the strap extending ridiculously away from my wrist. Can't find a single one in my budget I don't care about quality at this point. I'm not about to pay more than I did for the watch for a strap that actually fits. Right now I'm using the crappy replacement strap that came with a watch I recently got off ebay. Punched a new hole but can't even trim off the excess because I'd just reveal the plastic nothingness on the inside.

I owned the 2500c Planet Ocean for 15 years, wore it every day in every situation, including pretty hard use. Never failed, never serviced, still looked great, still ran within chronometer specs when I sold it. I now have the new 300M, but I think I actually like the Planet Ocean more. It is the best watch I have ever owned and shouldn't have sold it. The new PO is bigger, maybe a bit too big for me.

Exquisite Timepieces are thieves! They ARE NOT honest dealers. They sell used / second hand watches as new! Terrible to deal with. After I sent one back, instead of considered customer service and apology, I was banned from their website! Be careful, these folks may seem great at first but check anything you buy from them! My Seiko watches, both 4r35 , and 4r36 movements, do much better accuracy then stated ….

I love both, but the black is best. It's a classic and more versatile. The only thing that let's the Bluesy down is the bezel colouring IMO. It looks cheap abd pkastic like compared to the beautiful dial and the bracelet. The yellow inlay contrasts really badly with the bezel, it would look so much better and more "luxury" with an aluminium bezel IMO.
