I bought the exact same watch when it first became available in 2016 and I absolutely love it. I didn’t care much for the strap and changed it out almost immediately for a hand stitched leather one. I own a number of other watches so I don’t wear it too often but always love the looks when I do strap it on to my wrist.

Agree on all points. Very well done. I'm not a Rolex hater for their watches. Their watches are icons. I just don't like them as a company, nor do I appreciate their marketing strategy, especially regarding treatment from ADs Plus, let's face it. GS is FAR more innovative. They're interesting. Rolex is the same ole thing. Changing the size of a case or a color of a dial is not innovation. And it's nice to know when you own a Grand Seiko, nobody is going to think it's a fake like they would a Rolex. But that's beside the point, some people buy a Rolex to impress others whereas Grand Seiko buyers buy them to impress themselves for their unbelievable craftsmanship and innovation.

You and Teddy kind of say the same thing about the pink. He and others say it depends on the light and in person is really not exactly pink. It's the only thing stopping me. Killer looking watch though.

I have x3 ball watches fireman, trainmaster and engineer hydrocarbon. Fantastic watches can't fault them ans was initially drawn to them because they are a luxury watch that isn't very common like other brands and was especially drawn to them as my initials are RR. In all honesty buy one of these with confidence and my personal favourites are the trainmaster designs. Only thing to be aware of is if you are buying a used watch make sure its not too old as the tritium tubes have a 25 year life and reach half life around 10 years so the lume is not as bright and once lume has depleted it's £260 plus £25 postage to have a new dial and hands changed from Ball, only catch is they refuse just to do that job and insist on a full service at the same time so add an extra £300 to the bill for the work to be carried out. However these watches really are tanks especially the hydrocarbon and real work horses so don't be fooled by their appearance these are designed to be worn and worn hard.

Good picks ,still for me the iconic diver that is a must in a collection is the Seiko Willard.still doxa and citizen should be somewhere in this list

Ever since Britt Pearce said she would choose the SeaQ over the Sub, everyone thinks this is a competing alternative to the Sub. The SeaQ is a completely different timepiece. I don't think anyone who seriously wants a Sub is going to forget about it because of this watch - and it's not because the SeaQ is lacking, but because it is possible to like both, which I do. I have a Sub but I also want to a SeaQ.

I love high quality items. I love excellent value also. With Rolex I have always struggled to find both one of their watches. This was does. It’s high quality, slightly over built and feels solid and has substance. The fact that you can then find these for thousands less then retail in the grey market checks the excellent value box! I just can’t buy an already expensive sub or GMT and then pay ten grand more because the bezel is currently in style…
