I think it has a lot of potential, my understanding is that this is the first game the devs have made so I can give some leeway to it not being perfect, but I absolutely think the devs can do something spectacular with more time effort and practice, I really do think they can make an amazing game, and it’s fun that it’s provided so much for speed runners

I was someone who wasn't too invested in this game before release. I just kinda saw the trailers whenever they popped up in my recommended and went "yeah I'm super excited for that, I'll play it when it launches" so it didn't occupy enough of my brain space over the time from announcement to release for me to get insanely high expectations of it or think about what the game was going to be like. So for me personally it lived up to my own hype. I was genuinely excited for this game and it delivered on what I thought it would be, a fun horror platformer experience. Although I do understand and to some degree agree with your points about the breakers, they were such easily forgettable parts of the game for me that they didn't really detract from the experience, in my mind they were just small filler sections to create gaps between major sequences like a chase or big platforming area. And about the point of price, it was honestly not an issue for me. Maybe I've just become so desensitized to price from being both someone who buys the Banban games every few months and someone who is now very used to AAA games costing £70 or more but I honestly found the game well worth the asking price after I finished playing. This isn't to call you wrong for feeling the ways you do, just me explaining why I don't have the same issues. I just found this game super fun and is a low A or high B tier game in my books.

1:25 the platforming is really really good but I do want to say, for those with lower-spec PCs that want to play it, for some reason whenever you lower the graphics too much the hit boxes for the trampolines get super small. So keep that in mind for those who decide to play it! EDIT: Also, a little addition, if you wonder why the game isn't scary, in one of the only devlogs that the creator made (a youtube short near the start of development) he admitted he didn't really play horror games or watch horror media and part of the reason he made the game was to get over his fears of horror media. A cool little tidbit I feel like not very many people knew ^w^

For me at least, its a step in the right direction for future mascot horror, and i'm not just saying that cuz the game was good. Its becuase the game unlike alot of others i can name directly showed off what it was capable of in the announcement trailer at the beginning, as well as that they also took their time in not making a big release date announcement smack in the middle of the year, which allowed them to polish out the game and make the final product something they were truly passionate about and not just something made for the sole purpose of cashing in on the growing trend

I enjoyed your review, and I agree with a lot of your points. For me, this is a great, fresh take on Mascot Horror, especially considering that it was created by someone who is more negatively effected by horror media wanting to get over those fears etc. I wish the breakers were a smaller, more unique part of the game play. I would have appreciated something different for sections like the rail skating breakers. Even catching flags would have been more fun and could be colored or made sequentially obvious in other ways. I would have appreciated the slime section being removed entirely and made into something more akin to the trampoline places I've been to where there's climbing walls and ways to climb up to higher platforms you can jump into foam pits or onto trampolines from. Imagine that slime section being a rock wall and platforming room, where you were being pelted by tennis balls and some of the grips or platforms were only available on a timer. There's things that would have made the game more interesting and help extend playtime, but it is great to have something that challenges mascot horror's current trends and pitfalls.

It was amazing, but I can tell some, or a lot, of stuff was cut out. Maybe if the developer gets more money and backing, he could do a remake and add in the cut cutscenes and scenes from the trailers or add in more bosses, levels, and lore.

I only found out about it by watching a youtuber play it. I watched the video thinking that I wouldn't love it as much as other franchises but I did really love the idea of a squid games-like horror game with the element of parkour. I loved the announcer design. I loved the Noob Noobs. I really liked the ending cutscene too. What I wished there was more of was lore, we only got a few newspapers talking about two brothers who started the company. We also know the CEO either before the gameshow after the brothers, or during the gameshow. That's mainly all we know. I'm hoping in the second game there'll be more lore to answer SOME questions, not all though. That's my thoughts anyway.

for me, I didn't even have high expectations for the game at all. I just knew it was popular and a Friend told me about it and that it was under 2 hours long. So I planned to just play it and refund it. I was expecting it to be just as good as any other mascot horror, I didn't really expect it to be that good at all. But it was way better than I was thinking it would be. So much so I decided not to refund it when I beat it.

My own problem for the game is, i wish there was a bit more story? Not enough to know EVERYTHING i understand they would want to make a sequel and all, but they could have given us.... Something else? We just sorts have to sccept the mascots are alive and have been running the place for the majority of it's runtime? And we never even question it during the gameplay? Are mascots of all kinds just alive in this universe? Why are there 2 frankies? WHO killed Henry? Was it some executives above or Frankie himself? They lay WAY too many questions and give us basically no answers again i'm not saying it needed to be a story driven game that was never the intention, but if you are going to lay so many questions into your narrative, you better be ready to answer them you know?

Honestly I loved it, but mostly the plot wise. I don’t like the parkour because sometimes it would bug yk. It’s very 50/50 for me. I do love the mascots though also two of the soundtracks it’s good too

For me I was way more negative. In my opinion, the game felt very clunky, the slide and swinging especially. The whole concept of a horror gameshow was awesome but they didn't really do much with it, like outside of the talks about ratings and the live chat in one specific area, it didn't really feel like a gameshow that people were actually watching. Nothing was really explained, Like why is there an evil version of frankie ruining the gameshow? why kill all your players right at the start, why did the police arrive and nothing happen? Also the AI and sound design during the maze section is awful (you can't hear him until he's right around the corner.) and the level design was just all over the place. It just feels like they took what could have been a really cool concept for a horror game and watered it down into a simple fall guys but mascot horror and not much else.

I already commented but I also kind of wanted to share my thoughts on this game. My main issue with this game is that it's way too parkour, too little horror. Aside from the chases this game kinda has the "help wanted 2 curse" where it's considered a horror game cause you get jumpscared when you fail. You can count the enemy encounters on your fingers, and the encounters with the biggest horror focus are the ones where the parkour mechanics are barelly a thing; so it's not really a parkour horror game but a parkour game with a side of horror. The game is fun but it feels like a gamejolt game with a bigger budget with it's lenght and how they used it. I get that it shouldn't be too long of a game since it's meat to be a show, but it feels like it could have used more time in the oven to have more of the game. Edit: I want It to be made clear thoug; I do have my gripes but I do like the game. I just wished it mixed horror and the parkour mechanics better, and that it was longer. I still do like the game; the team clearly has talent and I am curious to see what they do next. (Be It Finding Frankie 2 or a whole new title)

Another thing Is that the story Is a tad messy: the show is both supposed to be family friendly and both some show you'd watch on the dark web; which as you can imagine It doesn't mesh well. A good story was far from the first thing I expected or even wanted, from this game; but I feel like It should be mentioned. Edit: Reading the comments on Uhyeah's video made me realise that the contestants probably didn't know about the death trap they were setting themselfs up to and that the PG talk is to make sure that they don't think anything odd Is happening. It does still look like the place was visited by Kids at some point but the show either being televised or privately streamed isn't inconsistent like I thought It was. There's still some story elements where I can't suspend my disbelief but it's not as bad.

IMO, the gameplay was okay, but the "escape the slime" part was obnoxious. The story was a bit uninteresting. The one thing I absolutely disliked was the music in the final fight (I liked the Deputy Duck music, though). Definitely agree with your analysis.

I wish the game was more helpful. In the utilidors, there’s a pit we need to go down to reach the sewer area but they never tell you about it. So it makes you think that you might die. The game just lets the player run free after Henry’s chase which doesn’t really help but it’s a new thing. They also do this with the water park key so it confused lots of people. The game was still a fun experience ngl!
