Did Gilgo Beach Murders Suspect Have Accomplices?

The attorney for two Gilgo Beach murder victims says he believes there's a ring of serial killers at work, not just suspect Rex Heuermann. Heuermann was arrested and charged with three of the Gilgo Beach murders. He has pleaded not guilty. Meanwhile, Heuermann’s wife and daughter reportedly told police they are "shocked, embarrassed and disgusted" by the revelations about him. Inside Edition’s Les Trent has more.

Her death was most likely an accident. She had mental health issues and the 911 call lines up with a person having a mental breakdown and the people in the 911 call were also cleared by the police. The body was also located miles away from the other bodies

This is something I was wondering already because of what that one woman who reported her encounters said. He apparently talked a lot about the murders and true crime and she got the impression he knew other sick people and somehow led her to believe he could have other killer friends. Very creepy. Hearing that the FBI had a task force for Gilgo beach at one time but that it was mysteriously disbanded makes me wonder whether it was due to the additional killers or larger case.

If he had accomplices, he likely would've communicated with them in some detectable and traceable way, either online or over the phone. One of the ways they tracked him down was through the burner phones he used to contact and communicate with his victims, so they also would've been able to determine if he was communicating with accomplices the same way.
