So when Turek says the Canaanites "watched their babies sizzle to death", he is, at best, ignoring the ancient sources that say these children were killed before being placed in the fire. If we can be reasonable to believe they were dead before going in the fire...we can also be reasonable to say Turek has failed to some extent to sufficiently explain why the bible-god wanted the Hebrews to treat the Canaanites with greater-than-normal brutality. The path, the "way" takes work; they were Heru, hereditary Keepers of the Light, soul ascensionists, with a method to follow that predated religion and was taught as science in universities all over the world. Petra is the Mecca of the old kingdoms in that region of Amorite/allied giants, my heritage and maybe yours.... The most ancient mosques still point to this center of edification and higher learning. Ireland was famous for teaching it until a Vatican charge later disguised as St Patrick threw the Druid masters into the sea and shut 300 universities in Ireland alone. And it was a global eugenics program, scorched earth and all, even listed in the bible in detail as a campaign...but not blaming the real perpetrator of eugenics Marduk-Ra, already the anti-christ.

Faith also doesn't really teach, it is a spiritual force that activities the power of God within those who have received the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost teaches you using the word of God. Faith helps you to reverence God because when you use it God moves on your behalf and your faith and trust in God increases as a result (sort of like medicine, you take it once because you are told that it works, if it works you begin to use it more, and the more you use it the more you come to rely on it when the issue you use it for shows up again)

I’ve recently been born again as of a few months ago. Always believed in God and became a lukewarm Christian over time. I did shrooms, drank, but mostly smoked pot everyday. I look back and can’t believe how patient Jesus has been waiting for me (I’m 38). I have been saved by an angel or Jesus (not sure at the time) at least twice, but possibly 3 times. A voice told me to let off the gas pedal when I was going through an intersection, as soon as I did, a truck blew a stop sign that would have killed me. I also fell asleep at the wheel another time and WOKE up while driving sitting upright and very much positioned like a robot. I ended up on the other side of town somehow! Fell into a pool’s deep end as a child, somehow my mother knew to check on me and pulled me out. I had another experience where I was praying for a relative that was brutally murdered and burned alive years prior. I was HIT like a sledgehammer with unexplainable peace and joy. Instantly tears poured out of my eyes and I had the breath sucked out of me, totally winded. It was like I was experiencing the joy of heaven but my human body could not handle it! I also experienced an interaction with several demons in the basement of a psychic lady’s house who summoned them and spoke to them nightly. The fear and anger I felt as their eyes pierced my soul was like nothing of this earth......,over and over and over Jesus was calling me!!! I was too much of a fool to notice, even though I believed in Him! Last month, I heard a demon’s voice talk to me telepathically in my mind- “I hate you, I’ll kill you and tear your family apart.” With the most conviction in my soul I commanded that thing to leave my house in the name of Jesus Christ. Every room in the house I yelled at it. I felt our Lord blast through my house and beat those things down! Whoosh gone! I prayed and thanked him and repented for allowing them to get close to me. He talked to me telepathically asking me questions and made me feel the guilt of my sins. Lots of information as a sort of psychic download into my heart and mind simultaneously. Question 1: “After all I’ve done for you, what have you done for Me, and others?” Question 2: “Am I NOT enough for you?” Then, the weight of my sins lifted, it was incredible. Since that moment, I’ve had no desire to drink, smoke, blaspheme, masterbate, be angry, stressed out or sin at all. Wanting to share love with no other possible explanation. I notice the tiniest signs he puts in my path....I see them right away and chuckle, seeing He really does work in mysterious ways. I fully understand how to have a relationship with him and not need to physically see or hear our relationship. He is incredible people! Let him into your heart! I had felt in my soul the the extremes of joy and sorrow in my soul, through just some of my life experiences..... Feeling the presence of God and Satan deep inside through strange encounters. For that, I am blessed to KNOW Christianity is the truth, yet I STILL tried to not fully commit. He wants us all to repent and accept Him. He actually told me this! Don’t think you can sin all your life and God will be OK with it. He really will reward you if you follow with all your heart!!

Well that same night i just had constant nightmares people trying to kill me and just nightmares constantly waking up. Well in my dream i was in the back yard and something happened where i was given the option to forgive them or i can be mad and in my dream i took a second and i said to myself what would jesus want me to do. So i forgave them. Well right after that im still in my back yard and my family member who i forgave went inside well thats when Jesus Christ came to me well i seen him there he was standing there and he was glory glowing just gold and beautiful never made eye contact or anything. well he started walking beside me unto my porch up the stairs well he reached out his hand to me and a voice from the sky said GRAB THY SON'S HAND and thats when he reached out towards me and i grabbed his hand and was flooded by gods love and then after i woke up in my bed sitting up reaching out my hand i was so shocked so marvled and so disappointed because the moment ended the moment i had with Christ was so good that i wouldnt mind leaving my life every since that day i will be a believer until i die literally until i die. Well i was still kept sinning going on with my addiction with weed up until i got caught by the cops and now im on probation for a while. Well i regret that i just didnt give my life to him and now im determined too and be faithful unto the Lord. What solid explanation. This is ridiculous. So the Canaanites were supposed to be killed by a Judeo-Christians as a punishment for believing in their own God through sacrificing their kids on this altars, when they Judeo-Christians has also sacrificed their kids in their past godly rituals - Remember Abraham the Patriarch and Isaac the son on the altar. I do understand him though because in order to change the Cruel Judeo-Christians godly rituals then, as practiced by his clans or nation, he had used the same self- created phantom Judean god to give him instructions to stop the cruel ritual and replace it with a sheep or animals. That was clever I suppose. But we know, including this same lying technocratic christian apologist- that many a nation's including the very same Judeo-Christians, created these mythological gods and we're all sacrificing children, some young people and even old people to sort of through their beliefs most born and grown into it, cast some so called spells off or defray or off set certain disastrous natural tragedies believed to be punishments or wraths from these phantom gods. I'll however congratulate the well thought trick Abraham came with to convince his nation to abandon these practices so early in history, because if he did not used the same erratic human created religion to swayed his nation's fervent, fanatical and religiously fundamentalist from these self defeating and cruel practices, they could kill you for blasphemy remember. But nobody can show that the gospel "applies to us today", so you can never show that those who ignore the gospel today are being the least bit unreasonable. A careful reading of gospels indicates Jesus and the original apostles expected his ssecond-coming to take place before the close of the first century. That's the Christian belief called "preterism". The horrific amount of heresy and false teaching in Christianity today justifies us to ignore the whole busieness, we are not obligated to try to figure out which parts of it are 'true". So we aren't breaking any rules by ignoring Christianity wholesale. So it is impossible to show that we are "unreasonable" to so ignore.

Because they don’t understand that it was necessary. They don’t understand that they didn’t go kill human beings. They wiped out abominations. The last nephilim descendants, the last giant clans. It’s ridiculous that the church has tried to all but hide Genesis 6 and 1 Enoch from the masses. It’s embarrassing. This was common knowledge to a 1st century Israelite. Sacrificing children in high places, this all stems from this. They’re sacrificing to those SAME fallen angels. The “gods” of every ancient culture on this earth. Like say the Greek gods for example. They come down off Mount Olympus to fornicate with human women and create Titans and monsters. What’s that sound like? It is the retelling of the SAME very real events in each’s own language post-Babel dispersion. Mount Olympus is Mount Hermon. Fallen angels coming down off of Mount Hermon, fornicating with human women and creating giants (Titans)…. Like it’s literally identical. The Canaanites HAD to die. It was the children of YHWH against the children of other Elohim. Other gods with a lower case g…. He turned the land of his enemies into his throne. It was poetic justice.
@Adam-mj5hl4 жыл бұрын
The more interesting question is, is if God is omnipotent and he had choices of different worlds he could have created but specifically chose this world, then he specifically chose this world in which the Canaanites would sacrifice their children. So if you take this to its logical conclusion, then God allowed the creation of a group a people who he knew would commit sin, and then created another group of people (Israelites) who he commanded to wipe them off the face of the earth. How does this make sense?
@JP-dp3kt2 жыл бұрын
It’s a tough question but Frank actually addresses this in another video. It’s the dilemma of free will and God’s omniscience (I think that’s what you meant instead of omnipotent). God can still know everything but we still make free will choices. The Canaanites still chose their lot, regardless if God knew about it. God desires all to know Him, but that interferes with Free will. If God wanted a bunch of robots then he’d taken our free will away. This is the only way I believe the Canaanites could have survived God’s wrath. But again he allows free will. This is the world God has allowed for. Even in the video Frank reminds us that the Canaanite’s had 400 years of warning before judgement came. So at the end of the day, God knew that giving free will to the canaanites might mean they can rebel, but he’s rather everyone have a choice to follow him rather than just creating robots.
@BlueRainMusic12 жыл бұрын
Why would it matter if he gave them 400, 1000, 4, or 10,000 years? The Christian god knew what would happen? Waiting to see assumes he didn't know. If he didn't know then he is not omniscient.
@JP-dp3kt2 жыл бұрын
@@BlueRainMusic1 I’m assuming you are replying to my comment. God can allow free will but still know the results. We as humans can do the same. I can tell my kids not to grab the cookies off the counter when I turn away, but I know the times they will and won’t choose to obey. The only way for the Canaanites to get out of this mess was if God forced them to follow Him. That would interfere with their free will and they wouldn’t have a choice. God wants people to choose him. If they don’t that’s still their choice. But God is also just, he won’t allow any innocent to be punished. That’s why later in Joshua, he spares Rahab and her family because they chose God. Rahab’s family is a lesson that even God will save a few lives if they chose Him. But if not, he’s not responsible for their choices. It’s hard for a human to imagine someone so powerful that he can ordain free will but still know the results of said will. The best way to cope with this is this decision probably led to the most lives leading toward God without also interfering with free will. Either way, there’s ultimately a lesson that can be learned here. Sin leads to death. God wanted a holy people in a promised land. The Canaanites were a brutal and sinful nation, and God did not want their decisions to live in sin to mix with the Israelites. So they had to leave or be destroyed. Mind you, this was Israel. A nation of slaves. They were inferior to every nation that they went up against, both in size and strength. The only way they were able to oppose the military structures and tribes of the 7 nations was to have divine help. This is another lesson that is learned. God will provide for his people, and his people are those who come to Him.
@JP-dp3kt2 жыл бұрын
@@BlueRainMusic1 sorry, I don’t think I answered your objection. Went on a tangent. He wasn’t allowing them 400 years to “change their minds.” Instead it says earlier in Exodus that the sin of these nations, had not come to its fullness. What we can gather from this, is that there were probably still some innocent lives in the Cannanite nation that would submit to God. But after 400 years there would be none. This shows both God’s mercy (not to kill any innocents) and his justice (to destroy the nation when only sinners remained). Hopefully that clears up the 400 years objection. It wasn’t an arbitrary 400 years.

I think he missed one of the biggest points, that being the genetics of the Nephilim (Giants in the land) were embedded deep into the make-up of the Canaanites. All of those tribes were corrupted by reason of 400 years of intermarriage. They were not pure human beings, and thru intermarriage, Israel would no longer be fit for Christ to come into the world thru them. It is possible (If not probable) that not so much as a single human being died in the Great Flood of Noah's day. All being corrupted hybrids of the Nephilim and human, and possibly because human kind had stumbled upon genetic engineering and was well on the way to tailor making every level of natural creation of both man and beast as is plainly stated in book of Jasher 4:18 "18 And their judges and rulers went to the daughters of men and took their wives by force from their husbands according to their choice, and the sons of men in those days took from the cattle of the earth, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air, and taught the mixture of animals of one species with the other, in order therewith to provoke the Lord; and God saw the whole earth and it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted its ways upon earth, all men and all animals.

Christ fulfilled the Ten Commandments, because the Ten Commandments are fulfilled in spirit, not flesh, love is the fulfillment of the law, it is a spiritual thing not a physical thing, the only way the Ten Commandments could be judged like everything else in this world is by the flesh, the world counts a murderer as someone who physically then murders someone else, they do not class a murderer as someone who hates his brother, but if you hate your brother is a spiritual thing, yet god counts this man as a murderer, if I am married and I commit adultery I must do this physically to be judged by the world as doing what is wrong, yet the Christ said ; if you look upon a woman to lust after her in your heart, you have committed adultery with her, it is a spiritual thing, the Ten Commandments are fulfilled in your heart, it is there you must look to fulfill them, for the kingdom of God is within you, clean the inside of the cup and the outside will be clean also, to follow the Christ and to fulfill the commandments is done in spirit not flesh.

@rod speaks yes this is exactly right, because it happens Within before it happens without, however; if I have hate in my heart I recognise my heart is a murderous heart, because I have faith in the Christ and this faith is in love, then the law of love comes into being, therefore; I will oppose the hate in my heart recognising it for what it really is, I do not justify it, as the terrorists would or perhaps a murderer, in this; I recognise the sinful nature because I am separated from it, then I petition to God to remove the hate in my heart so that it can be transformed into the image of the Christ, which is a spiritual thing, thus the scripture; from glory to glory from light to light until I am transformed into the Perfection of the Christ. I seek this with all the sinful nature and the attachments of the things of this world so that all these things are removed from within me.

This is a great rebuttal of the Canaanite slaughter objection, though there's more to it (further reasoning). Still a great explanation. Great discussion, as well. Amen. However, I've heard other ministries talk about "the OT laws & 10 Commandments not applying to Christians." I think we should prayerfully re-examine that doctrine; seriously. While we're no longer under condemnation of the law (those who are born again in Christ - Rom. 8), we still have James' directive not to just be "hearers of the Word, but effectual doers of the Word." What "Word?" God's Word. Which parts? All that are applicable. Read Matt 5:17-18. Jesus was pretty clear. There are tons of NT examples of imperatives of obedience to all of God's Word, as all Scripture is "God-breathed, etc." So I'm not advocating (here) for the Acts 25 position of Peter, where he was confronted by Paul about it (essentially stating in Antioch that "true" salvation required: being born-again in Christ Jesus + keeping the Mosaic Law + Jewish circumcision, which voids the completed work of the cross out completely - as if any "works" could save anyone by God's perfect standard of holiness. I am advocating for obedience to God's Word, as instructed in the NT. For instance, John states, "You who are sinning, stop sinning." Sinning? What sins? Yes, he goes on to speak of God's grace toward sin, but it doesn't negate the command toward obedience. Written to Jew & Gentile alike (essentially all future peoples of the world), but the NT hadn't been canonized yet. So, without the moral laws & commandments, what "sins" could John have been referring to? As for the 10 Commandments / "moral" laws, Jesus answered this question in Matt 22:34-40, stressing that "upon these [2 'greatest commandments'] hang all of the law & the prophets." Also read Matt 7:21. It's never stated anywhere that we should not observe & obey the "moral" laws; rather, they're actually elevated & expanded upon by Jesus & the Apostolic epistles. Notched-up, if you will. Jesus not only updated & revised the 10 Commandments, but He raised the bar exponentially.

And like I said before, the Lord destroyed the Temple to prevent anyone keeping Torah until the Antichrist temple is built. People hand in written questions before the presentation. Frank selects certain questions (those for which he has a PPT) and allows the person who wrote the question to ask it in the Q&A session. It's a combination of efficient handling of Q&A (people who write down questions will generally ask better questions compared to those just randomly asking after the presentation, when people just love to be heard) and strategic planning for videos that make it look like Frank has an answer to any question. The deception is kinda cleverly hidden, except from you and some other people on KZbin.😁

Contrary, to the person answering the question above, the reason God ordered these various groups of His enemies slaughtered is given quite clearly in verse 4 below, and it certainly has nothing to do with their offering their children for sacrifice to idols. Deuteronomy 7.1-4 The Lord Speaking Circa 1450 B.C.: 1. When the Ever-Living your Creator brings you into the land you are to possess, and He has cast out the many races that were there before you: the Hittites, the Girgashites, the Amorites, the Kananites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, the Yebusites-seven races stronger and more numerous than you-and the Ever-Living your Creator delivers them to you, you must annihilate them, indeed, completely destroy them! 2. You shall make no agreements with them or show them any mercy whatever. 3. Nor shall you mate with them. You shall not give your daughters to their sons. Nor shall you take their daughters for your sons. 4. For they will turn your sons away from following Me, so that they will serve other gods. And then the Ever-Living’s anger will be stoked against you and He will quickly punish you.

But long before that it was foretold that Israel would be around in the latter days. May 14 1948 Israel became a nation again. No other nation that has ever been scattered throughout the world, attempted to be exterminated by so man, has ever reformed as a nation again. But 1900yrs later, here they are. They speak the same language. Never happened in human history until then. They will be very prosperous. In 1948 Israel had nothing. Today they are the eighth most powerful country in the world. A country the size of New Jersey provides half of Europe’s produce. They would be a burdensome stone to the entire world. Again, a country the size of New Jersey is in the news every day. Everything you said about no proof of this and that has an answer. Everyone will eventually die. You have three choices. Believe in no God and roll the dice for afterwards. Believe in one of the countless other gods/faiths, that all teach you work to earn salvation. Or believe in Jesus who paid the price for you so that all you have to do is receive His gift of eternal life. For all have sinned For the wages of sin is death/hell. But the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus. The wage is earned already. You have been offered a gift by Jesus. It’s on you to accept or reject the gift. I’ll be praying for you. Have a blessed day.

@@flanderg123 The law of Moses wasn’t just a religious law but a civil law as well. The Israelites were a nation, not just a faith. The law therefore addressed legal matters and spiritual ones. Slavery was a part of everyday life across the whole world and remained so until recently from a historical pov. God was addressing a fact of life for the people at that time and provided slave rights and master obligations where none had previously existed. This was a leap forward in human rights. And as I’ve already explained, there’s nothing inherently wrong with slavery anyway. The prison system we use today is slavery, if you go to prison you have your freedom stripped from you and you become a slave until released. Should we abolish the prison system? If so, what’s the alternative for criminals and prisoners of war? If you support the idea of prisons and a justice system that sentences people to prison then you support slavery under certain circumstances. Your hippieness at Turek's performance is questionable: The ancient historical testimony Turek uses to establish that the Canaanites "watched their babies sizzle to death" says precisely the opposite (i.e., the children were killed first, the fire was used solely for cremation of corpses)...which means there is no proof that the Canaanites were more grossly immoral than the average pagan...which means skeptics are reasonable to say that God was arbitrary in demanding the Hebrews brutalize the Canaanites more than God wanted them to brutalize other pagans.

@@briantitchener4829 "What you're suggesting is that God gets all the blame for being harsh why wiping out the Canaanites, but Molech be given a pass for killing babies first and then having them cremated." ------------Fallacy of red-herring. Turek is lying to the world when he says the Canaanites watched their babies "sizzle to death". There is no historical evidence from the sources closest to those rituals. "In truth Molech demanded young human offspring "to pass through the fire' to him as an act of Canaanite worship." --------And "pass through the fire" can be accounted for sufficiently without positing that the children were still alive when placed in the fire. I'm not alleging that fire was never used to kill kids, hell, anything is always possible, I'm only alleging that Turek has no historical support for such a thing....yet he prances around, dogmatizing about how the Canaanites watched their babies sizzle to death, no less confidently that he dogmatizes that God's existence is clear and compelling. "This is accepted as a Canaanite practice just as the Incas or Aztecs used human sacrifice.for their rituals." ------------Can we get back to the subject of why Turek confidently proclaims historical truths that he cannot document? "Canaanite children once grown up would then practice the same abomination." -----------God cannot use that excuse to justify demanding that Hebrews slaughter Canaanite children, see Ezra 1:1 (God is capable of using telepathy to make rebellious sinners willing to do whatever he wants). You can kill the bank teller in the process of robbing the bank so you can pay your mortgage, but most people would insist that you were unloving and arbitrary because there were plenty of other less brutal ways you could have resolved your financial difficulties. I see no reason to make an exception for a fictional character whose resemblance to ancient Semitic warlords is no conincidence. "Hence, God was completely just in destroying them all. He is both the Giver of life and the taker." -----------But under that logic, God is also "just" to subject a baby girl to death by vaginal rape. If God can "take" life, he also has the right to "take" it in any specific manner he chooses. Unfortunately for you, not all infant deaths occur by gunshot. Some little girls die from vaginal rape. If God's creator-status makes it holy, righteous and good for him to take life, you are forced by logical necessity to conclude that whatever decisions god makes on whether to allow a baby girl to be raped to death, are equally holy, righteous and good. If "god" is "taking" her life when the man shoots her in the head..."god" is also "taking" her life when the man vaginally rapes her to death. And yet something tells me that you are like everybody else in the world, and if you came home and saw proof that God was allowing the babysitter to rape your little girl, you would cease caring about God's ultimate right to treat his creatures however he wishes, and you would react exactly the way a completely godless person would, and you would act consistently with the belief that this current life is all we can look forward to. ...and you'd be lacking any justification for assuming that merely because you discovered the abuse, God suddenly stopped wanting to allow that rape to continue. Nothing in the bible expresses or implies that you are supposed to interfere with all evil that you become aware of. Were it otherwise, you'd be living in sin....because there's plenty of evil you know about, but you aren't doing anything about.

I agree with everything said except the part about “unless a commandment is repeated in the New Testament it doesn’t apply to Christians”. When the early church gathered, I’m talking first century, the only bible they had was the Old Testament. And when Paul refers to “all scripture is God breathed and profitable for instruction, rebuking, correction and training” etc he was referring to the only Bible available, the Old Testament. The Sabbath still applies but how it applies to Gentile believers is the difference. Remember Paul wasn’t teaching all the Jews who live among the Gentiles to forsake Moses. He went as far as to take a Nazareth vow to prove that he himself kept the Torah. In fact, Jesus told us that He wasn’t come to abolish the Law and the Prophets but to fill it full. That whoever breaks one of the least of the commandments and teaches others to break them would be least in the Kingdom but whoever does and teachers others to do will be called great in the kingdom. The Law is eternal and while it is eternal, some commands apply only to men, some only to women, so only to priests, some only to Jews in the Land as opposed to out of the Land. There’s is a difference in that Gentiles it seems are not legally obligated in the same way Jews are in regards to the Torah. And I think Jesus’s omission of the Sabbath was that it was being kept by everyone. He brought attention to it being a delight and not a burden.

Yes, the Ten Commandments are still important today, it shows if you are for God or against him. When he returns he will ask who is for him and who is against, there will be signs in the end days showing the importance of the commandments of God, they will show where you stand with God. After those signs are shown it will be on you to choose in those last days. The sabbath will play a big part in people following God or not following God, it will all be made known to you now or later, but until then, it is important that no one underestimates the importance of the commandments God has given to us. You aren't saved my works, but you aren't in the True vine if you reject those laws by saying you don't have to follow them. If you love Jesus follow God's commandments. Please don't reject his commandments people because you reject Him in the process. They aren't rules, they are descriptions of who God is in law form and you have a choice to follow.

God is not dealing with Israel as a people and as a nation in this dispensation Romans 11. This Grace period is like a commercial spot during a show- neither has anything to do with the other. The period closed at 69 week years from the 70 until God completes the system involving the Jews. The church era is the break in-between, because God wanted to let as many Jews be saved because they were going down to destruction fast with their idolatry amd disobedience, so Jesus came originally, as Shepherd to seek and save the lost, Matthew 10:5. They were the separated people to come introduce God to the nations of the world Exodus 19:6, but they missed it and the gospel went to all the nations. Jesus chose Apostle Paul for this task. If you check, you will see that the other writers of the other epistles- Peter James and John, only wrote to the Jews. Peter only included the gentiles in his 2nd book, after his encounter with Paul- Galatians 2. About the sabbath- God rested on the sabbath after the work of creation ended, but got up to begin the work of salvation, which ended at the cross John, 4:34, 5:17, 17:4 19:30 etc. Hebrews chapters 3 and 4, God has another rest-Sabbath, which is only attained by grace through faith in the finished work of the cross. Complete rest from our works to please God who is the One that works in us by His Holy Spirit, to will and to do of His good pleasure- Philippians 2:13. Not of works, lest any man should boast. Apostle Paul was a legalistic Jew, who would even be accursed to see his fellow men be saved- Romans 9:3, thus, he would of course, do any and everything to get them to listen to him, including make a vow and fulfill it 1 Corinthians 9:22-23. Let us rightly divide the word of truth. We are purely saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and the works He finished. No addition no subtraction.

Do you see it? The tribes of people that God ordered the Israelites to wipe out, including the Canaanites were all descendants of giants. That's why God even had the children killed as well, genetically they weren't even fully human.

Goran Milić I think you’re missing the point. God is the final judgement and we can’t compare what we think is morally right to Gods decisions. Because if He does Give life He can take it away. It isn’t murder. Murder would be for us who do not create life. When we impose our will to kill someone. Maybe we killed out of hatred and malice. Either way our Human understanding won’t comprehend. His ways are not our ways and his Thoughts are not our thoughts. We don’t know how certain events would impact our future in the long run. So I beg to differ and still Believe that God is a Morally right being. Either way nothing in this life fleshly matters. Whether we suffer or not. We get to go to a place with glorified bodies. No longer being able to suffer or experience sin. If you read Ecclesiastes the book will literally show how depressing the world can be. But the simple things and what God brings to us in this world torn by sin. Those are the things we should enjoy under the sun.

Good and orderly in creation. Because all things are made Through Him and For Him. Shouldn’t the creator of all things have a say in how things should be in order? I mean corporations have systems and orders in place ? Meaning God is a God of Order. Unlike us who when making a decision can have detrimental outcomes depending if we are doing it with ill intent or good. Gods decisions are good in the long run. Think about it too. People who believe in God and People who don’t believe in God still receive Mercy every day. There are those unbelievers who receive from God and do wicked and God still provides for them. The rain falls on both the righteous and unrighteous. I’m sure you’ve seen people who are terrible humans get what good people deserve right ? Why is that so? Because it can bring glory to God when they realize that He is the true and living God.

The commandments were not done away with in the new testament. If anything they were more strict. ‘You shall not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment. But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. In Acts chapter 13, Paul arrives in Antioch (v. 14) and on the Sabbath day he goes to the synagogue to preach (vs. 16-41). Now note what happens after Paul concludes his sermon about Jesus, the Christ: Acts 13:42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath. Acts 13:43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. Now at this point, I have to ask, if Paul was keeping Sunday, and preaching during services on Sunday, how is it that he does not invite the Gentiles to attend services the very next day, on Sunday to hear him preach again? Acts 13:44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

Da Name, I don't consider the OT to be correct, holy, or good, but xtians do. The OT had numerous authors, but saying they were inspired by god is conjecture & assumes god is real. You gave NT verse, and I gave you one too. And they contradict each other unless one wants to try to interpret it a certain way. I agree that jesus is only one that can fulfill "prophets", but the "Law" is specifically instructions for us (i.e. law is not same as prophecy) But why would god need a law? The quote from jesus is clear, the law is not for him - it was given to humans by god. "Until heaven/ earth pass, not one part of the law is abrogated. " Then jesus goes on to emphasize even the smaller parts of the law are important & promises rewards for following them. Point is: jesus quoted the OT a lot, and made clear that it was still valid.

No, you have no idea what the Sabbath was about, so let me give you a clue; the Sabbath was about Christ. When it states that God rested, it's talking about Christ's death and resurrection. It's the final day of creation when God created a rest from the curse of the law. "Death, where is thy sting?" Those that are in Christ will not die the death of eternity, but be resurrected into eternity. Those that are outside of Christ are no more. When it says to keep the Sabbath holy, that was the way to know the Messiah for only the Messiah can do the law. Jesus fulfilled the law so he was holy as no one else could do it including the angels. This is why we know that Christ is Lord. If you try to do the law, you will fail. But if you accept Christ and live by his Spirit you will succeed even though you fail, for we aren't under law, but grace and thus, the Sabbath.

Of ALL the videos I have watched so far, this is the one video that contains a statement beginning at 5:50 minutes, that I do COMPLETELY agree. The 10 Commandments are still applicable today, including the Sabbath Commandment because Revelation 1:2, Revelation 1:9 and Revelation 12:17 all imply that the 10 Commandments are still applicable. Most importantly, no man or men on earth has/have the power to say that the 10 Commandments are not applicable anymore to all mankind except God himself. Why? Simply because the 10 Commandments were from God, and they were not of this world. The PROOF is found in Exodus 24:10, but more accurately in Ezekiel 1:26 which states that the Throne of God sits upon a pavement of Sapphire Stone. God carved out the 2 Sapphire Stone Tablets and wrote with His bear hand the 10 Commandments for mankind to keep... the Commandments were written by God for man. Therefore, if any man is to say that the 10 Commandments were done away with, abolished or not applicable anymore, such statement would be based on (Biblical) Scripture that God Himself had issued a creed to abolish the 10 Commandments in the SAME MANNER in which He issued the 10 Commandments in the first place. i.e. God would have issued creed written on a Sapphire Stone Tablet that was carved out of the Sapphire Stone on the pavement to which His Throne sits on and deliver this creed to man. Apparently, this is NOT stated anywhere in the Bible. There is no Biblical text that states clearly that the 10 Commandments were abolished. Most people misconceive Colossians 2:14 thinking the 10 Commandments were nailed to the Cross, BUT THAT IS INCORRECT. The law that was nailed to the Cross was the Mosaic Law or the Law of Moses. The 10 Commandments are Still Intact and In-Effect today still. So the statement that the 10 Commandments do not apply of FALSE and MISLEADING. The 10 Commandments do apply and are still valid.

God can't murder because he can create life?(4:37) I'm not sure that works. Also the passage doesn't just say "annihilate" in some colloquial way, it spells out who and what to be destroyed in its entirety. Gods justification for killing an entire people because a few are sacrificed doesn't add up either. The video does a pretty lousy job for the apologetic side of the argument.

Hi Curtis! I am posting a reply to your comment because I agree with almost everything you said : ) Frank's answer seemed "lousy" to me as well. The idea that G-d cannot murder is based on the idea that G-d is sovereign, the authority, and the judge who does not require counsel and can/will act unilaterally. I agree that "annihilate" probably wasn't colloquial. Failure to respect G-d and His sovereignty, in this instance, led to judgement for the Canaanites (but it doesn't always - Nineveh for example). It would seem G-d executes His judgement carefully and thoughtfully and not in a "cookbook" manner (if you do this, you're toast, next please). Judgement is situational. Frank's explanation for the killing of an entire group of people may not be persuasive, however, to ignore G-d's absolute sovereignty over life will lead one to a fictional and invented perspective. In the book of Job, when G-d is speaking to Job, He says this (40:8) "Will you really annul My judgment and set it aside as void? Will you condemn Me [your God] that you may [appear to] be righteous and justified?"

@@nightelf7701 Yet god with his/her infinite potential, choose to kill i.e. murder. Murder is when you choose to kill when you have other reasonable choices. With infinite potential power comes, lets call it "nearly" infinite potential choices. Genocide is just murdering all of a group of people, the definition of group can be pretty broad under modern definition. Now you proclaim sovereignty gives the "right" to murder, and i put forward it only gives the power to do so, not the ethical or moral justification for the use of that power.

Curtis Smith Curtis Smith 1) Your attempt to distinct colloquial speech from what was written in the bible was weak. “ Annihilating the Rams” both specifically encompasses who and what was annihilated Secondly if you’re going to be petty with the Semantics, I can say that . “ My wrestling team completed destroyed all of the other teams wrestlers “. Again same point, obviously if I were to say that, you wouldn’t take it literally, you would understand that I’m being hyperbolic. Secondly there’s no evidence to suggest “a few” of them were participating in this. It seems that all of them accept for the children were conscious and aware of this. Third at the end of the day, God is the creator of all life (in our view) and knows everyone’s heart and what they’re guilty/ innocent of. So if he says an entire people are guilty of something, then they are...

@@curtissmith111 Thank you for taking the time to reply! To respond to your statement "murder is when you choose to kill when you have other reasonable choices", the Canaanites had other reasonable choices besides burning children to death, so this is clearly murder. Ignoring G-d completely, what should a reasonable person do with a group of people who choose to participate in infanticide or pedicide to satisfy a statue? If one were in authority over an army and observed this happening, would that ruler have an obligation to act or is it moral/ethical to ignore this atrocity? G-d is not only sovereign but defines what is moral. For the transgressors (us) to attempt to define morality according to our own opinions is foolishness. Should the criminals be granted the authority to write the laws by which they will be judged? G-d is sovereign has no counsel. I am sure the Canaanites would have been overjoyed for G-d to concede that He has all power but not the ethical or moral authority to act - perhaps G-d should have asked someone to check His moral compass before acting.....?

@jeff1sidebLink5 жыл бұрын
Roman Catholic changed the original Sabbath day from Saturday to Sunday for they want to combine their religion to paganism. Thus, Sunday keepers follow this cuz the reason was that Jesus roused in Sunday, not knowing that even Jesus Christ rested in Sabbath day.

Radostin Vasilev This preacher actually had that wrong. A Pharisee asked Jesus "what must I do to get eternal life?", and Jesus answered "to keep the commandments." Matt 19:17 and Luke 18:18 then he got more specific. The video's preacher is confused because we do not need to keep the 600 Laws of Moses, but the 10 Commandments are from God, not from Moses. The Laws of Moses were an attempt to get to the nitty gritty of how best to keep the original 10, but the 600, including circumcision and kosher food laws are not binding on Christians, as declared by the Church in the First Council in Jerusalem in Acts 15 in agreement with the Holy Spirit. Most likely Jesus changed the Sabath to Sunday because he wanted a separation of the Christians from the Jews, because the early Christians, when tempted, would have a tendency to fall back into Judeaism, and denying Him. This is similar to God making the Jews a people set apart from the rest of the pagan world, by having them circumcised, having them eat cows, which are worshiped in some cultures and thus not killed, and having them not eat pork, which is used in pagan sacrifices then eaten. So by doing these things, the Jews not only were separated, but there was a wide gap between the pagans and the Jews, one not easily crossed. So it is with Christians and Jews, a wide gap, that one really has to take an act of faith to cross either way.

@@tomgreene7942 ok. But jesus said salvation comes from the jews. And circumcision comes from god through Abraham not by Moses. Also in the psalms it says god Doe's not change his covenants, which tells me fulfilment of the law doesn't mean abolishing it, but confirmation of it.?
