Nice grab on the fender. A guy with your knowledge could pick up items that most guys would have no idea what it is worth or even what it is. That has to be a lot of fun for you to walk around and just look for that holy grail item and then try to contain your excitement when you find it.

Matt , Your awesome. Bought a fender for $225 and shortly after sold it for $600. I can’t believe that the guy went for it at $600. Now I know that the museum is in good hands. You’re a very good business man. You dad would be so proud of his son because you’ve got what it takes in this modern world to make it happen. Watch you every day and enjoy the education that you give me. 😊

That mini Excelsior belonged to my buddy's family. They owned a package delivery service in prewar Lexington KY and eventually opened the first Harley dealership there as well. That bike was built for my friends older brother in the 30s. They also built a mini bike in the 50s from a Harley Hummer with small wheels They called Putt-Putt.

Awesome video,I was working with Roger Smith taking down George Swim’s skating rink in Marion whenever Dale bought out George’s dealership. That was in the winter of 91 or 92. Roger started hanging around George’s when he traded his Cushman scooter for his first Knucklehead,as the owner was pushing it home on Route 37. The Swim’s dealership was in Energy Illinois, the building is long gone as the property is part of the Energy park now. George has since left us,and unfortunately we recently lost Roger as well. I have to admit those two had some good stories on each other which included the Leapin Lena bike you now have. Again Matt, excellent video and history to go along with it. 👍

Nice to see the way they have been doing the later models top ends with a different bottom end same way people put evo heads on shovel bottom shevo was the rage 30 years ago.
