That Western Mountaineering bag looks ace Twiggy 👌 I noticed its got a really generous zip baffle. Where did you buy it from ? Its great when you can turn around inside a sleeping bag without feeling like a demented maggot when you want to swop sides . I use a pair of Montbell down boots in my winter set-up that are like clouds of heavenly warmth on my feet, and they loft up super quickly after they have been compressed. I bought them off Ultra light outdoors just in case you are interested and i would highly recommend them if you get cold feet.

It's been a real game changer for me Olan.. So much room. I'd been searching a long time to find a bag like that... Not cheap but.. Quality. Zip never snags, so glad I got it. Got it from ultralight outdoor gear. Cheers for the tip.. I'll look at the boots. Cheers. 👍

@@twiggyescapes Yeh they are The Best bags money can buy and if you want the best you have to spend the money you put aside for the wifes boob job or family holiday etc but its well worth the ear ache. I love my Cumulus bags and when i weighed up the cost of the various options the Cumulus won simply because i could choose the colours and the type of zip and the length of the zip plus the types of materials and even add more down etc where ever i wanted to. I have the 5mm zip on both my Cumukus bags which never snags but after seeing a Western Mountaineering bag i would say they have the edge in quality over the Cumulus but its not massive. PS Dont forget to put the wifes clothes in some plastic bags and shove them under the bed so there is enough room to hang that bag up in the wardrobe when you are not using it 🤣

That looked like a lovely camp. It's great to see the northern lights. I've had my eye on the seal skin gloves, but I was never sure if they were as waterproof as they were supposed to be. How are you getting on with the new camera? The low light shots looked class, I'm still waiting to get mine 😂

Cheers Jason, it was a bloody cold night that one. My hands were frozen trying to work the camera... Its brilliant when I nail the settings but I've got a lot of learning to do. The auto focus on face doesn't always work in low light, so I'm having to switch to manual sometimes.. Highly impressed with this camera lens combo.The gloves are OK.. Waterproof.. Need a lot of wearing in. But I like em. Cheers mate watching. 👍

@@twiggyescapes I use manual a lot in low light but for talking shots close to the camera I'd use auto. It's mainly lighting, I've found when the little box is over your eye its very hard to see on the screen if it's picking you up or not. I'm hoping to get my lens next week. Well I'll order it next week.

Is that the Megalite? I have one and like the fact you can rearrange the down, too warm? Move some under you. Too cold? Move it all on top 👌

@@twiggyescapes yeah i have the Megalite for shoulder season down to around 0 and I have a Cumulus with c. 950g of down for -15C or so (never done that low yet)
