Hi Laura and Aaron, You mentioned that you like hearing what is working for us...there are so many things. Before I met you, I killed everything including a Ponytail Palm; which is almost impossible. Now, my garden is amazing. The things that has helped me the most is bio-tone, water soluble fertilizer, learning to prune properly, etc....but mostly the amount of confidence I've gained from watching you. You make it seem so easy, then it becomes so rewarding. I love the daily surprises in my garden. Of all the creators, I find you two the most relatable and your passion is contagious. Aaron, we all give Laura a lot of the credit because she is in front of the camera, but what you do is equally as incredible. We are so thankful that you share your life with us. Much love from Missouri.

Some of them sound rude and nosy to me, too, but I try to remember that it's easy to misread text, as opposed to hearing something in person, and plus, some people are just more blunt, you know? Went to a garden centre on Saturday. A lot of precautions (numbers, distancing, directional flow, time limits, you touch you buy) but felt sooo good. Our last frost date is in a couple of weeks but I have been slow/lazy to put out cool crops. Thank goodness cause we have below freezing for a couple of days now. Some asparagus tips are damaged but my volunteer chamomile is thriving. Concentrating my efforts on my tomato and peppers indoors which are weed-like. Instead of reducing seedlings, I'm dividing and giving away to family, friends and neighbours.

For the person asking about filling in soil when planting their window boxes, I once saw a video (I don't remember the channel to give him proper credit) where the gardener, after mostly filling the container with soil, placed all his plant cans in the container at the proper height, pulled out the plants leaving just the cans, then filled in around the cans with more soil. He replaced the cans with the plants in those soil holes. I thought that was an easy and clean way to fill a large container and have used that method several times.

In lower MI the rule is no planting annuals or summer garden crops like tomatoes in the ground until Memorial weekend. This is why. We only dropped to 26 here and the pansies and other spring bulbs have been fine. We've actually had a very nice spring this year. Sometimes it goes straight from winter to summer with no real spring in between, so this longer season of mild weather has been very pleasant. :)

My boss's garden, on the top of the hill behind the orchard, has his personal peaches, plums and pears. He thinks he lost the whole crop for this season. There is a wonderful pick your own orchard a few miles away, and I love going to pick the sour cherries. I'm afraid to call for fear that the crop was lost. Thanks for your kind compassion, Laura. Hi Laura! I usually wear gloves when gardening and decided to try planting without gloves when planting hanging baskets...I loved feeling the potting soil between my fingers! It's so soft! However, I will continue to use gloves when planting in the ground because we have clay dirt. Thanks for being such an inspiration!

I love your passion and love for growing God's gifts and appreciate you sharing all that you do with us. I love to water my plants by hand which is esay since my area is not very big but I call it therapeutic watering. I find it calming and peaceful just to water and think. Thank you again for letting us into your green thumb world.

People who have community gardeners would love your empty containers. They will use them and are grateful. This year, I'm not planting much but will save my containers to donate to local community gardeners.

We reached 32.9° in our suburb of Nashville, which was the lowest temperature for any day in May since the 19th century. May 9 was the latest frost here in the last 100 years. Our average last frost date for the city is April 5, and for our area outside of the urban area, it's March 29. We had frost throughout our farm, but we survived by watering heavy at midnight and then again at 4:45 AM before the sun came up. Our most tender crops were covered with everything we had. We ended up covering over 50 plants with paper grocery bags, which turned out to be a really good method. I feel for people that put all the hard work into their gardens and were not as fortunate.

Thank you so much for your concern for us in Rhode Island. It did get down to 35 degrees here, but I have learned so much from watching your videos. I went out and added a lot of mulch aground some of my perennials. They did just fine, thank you for all your informational videos.
