In this video we take on a new project. We realized that Blazimus Prime the K5 Blazer isn't getting used enough but a growing family would like to use it for their young adventures. So we trade for a Jeep Wrangler TJ and take on the struggles of buying a used and abused vehicle. We get it street worthy and then 4 wheel it in the Black Hills of South Dakota finding old ghost town school houses along with some snow and rocks. We get a phone call from Matt's Off Road Recovery and we take a quick look at some awesome Harbor Freight portable shop lights that Paul from Fabrats showed us. Follow along with this wild adventure and make sure to let us know what you would like to see us do with this Yellow Jeep TJ Wrangler and what we should name it?

I concur; I loved nothing better than exploring in my old Cherokee Chief with my two little girls and my Red Dingo-Queensland Heeler. My I'd like to have that time back again, it's been 30-35 years ago you brought back some memories. My eyes are watering, so I better go. Taikuu

Good 'ole Hellga! Colt, I bought/built this Jeep back in high school and had a blast doing it. Sold it while I was in college due to chasing after my wife (then girlfriend) attending college in another state ($250 gas bill was killing me). Can't believe it made it to BleepinJeep but when someone sent me the link to this video, it blew my mind. Hopefully, you'll get as many memories out of it as I did. If you ever get an itch to sell, I have a check with your name on it.

Hey Colt, great video. I'm 68, retired, and new to this Jeepin craze here in so Indiana. My wife and I recently purchased a used 2017 Jeep JK with 40K miles. We are blacktop explorers I guess, lol. We have a few friends that also have newer Jeeps. Since this purchase, we have had a great time exploring all kinds of places. I bought this and started watching your videos, and Matt's Off Road, and Paul on Fab Rats, I now would like to find an LJ to mildy fix up to do a little more off-roading, I just want to thank you guys for helping me spend my kids inheritance!!! LOL. It's a blast but gets expensive! Keep the videos coming.

You're doing exactly what we used to do in our old yellow '77 CJ7. This IS what jeeping is all about! Just seeing a road and taking it in order to find out what's there. We have done a bit of jeeping in the Black Hills back in the 80's. Did quite a lot in and around Moab, too. But mostly in Arizona. Sure do love watching you and reliving our memories of our younger days of adventuring. More of this please! Thank you!!

This reminded my old days of wheeling in Blue Mountains of Oregon. As per the jeep, keep it simple for the basic trails, that you can drive down highway and turn off to mountain country. Upgrade suspension, dif locks. I am thinking Yellow Jacket for a name.

The "Swigzy" cup holder on Amazon is most likely the solution to all of your cup holding problems. I drive a ZJ which may have the worst cup holders ever designed in human history. The Swigzy holds a 40 oz Hydroflask or a skinny can like a seltzer or an Ultra without spilling a drop on serious 4WD trails. I'm entirely unaffiliated with the company, just a very, very happy customer. Prime shipping & free returns too as of 2/21/22. If you're in hate with your factory cup holders these may give you a significant improvement.

We made the trip from Florida to South Dakota , October of 2020. Stayed at Custer State Park for a week. Beautiful state. Too day we good cold weather and snow, couldn't do the hot air ballon ride. Those donkeys can get aggressive. Buffalo like to lick the salt off the cars body. Too bad Needles Highway was closed. Mount Rushmore and Deadwood, also great locations to visit. Looking forward to returning soon. Thanks for posting . Looking forward to the next episode.

I just got a 91 YJ. Needs a bit of work, (doesn't run, but ran when parked 2 years ago, fingers crossed). I plan to travel the country pulling a small teardrop camper, and doing light off roading and trail exploring. I also have an old '49 CJ 3a, lightly modified, but still with the Flathead, love that old jeep, it isn't a highway cruiser, but is great fun on County back roads.

Great video! When I was a teenager, I was a muscle car guy for a few short years and I am still intrigued. I had a CJ Torino that ran like a scalded dog. In 84 or 85 there was a guy that had at the time a new Toyota SR5 that was lifted with maybe 35" gumbo monster mudders (blast from the past) on it! lol I went 4 wheeling with him one night and was instantly hooked! Here in Missouri we have a little of everything, but my favorite was an abandoned rock quarry with some crazy deep mud pits you didn't even think about without 44's gears and horsepower. There were some wild places along the Missouri River too. I never named a vehicle, but I have "called" them a few choice names working on them! Keep the camera rolling!

Nice trade Colt! I had a 1975 K5 I built and loved it but that was many many years ago, Man that thing went where I wanted it too. A couple years back I bought a 94 YJ Jeep, it wasn't running and it was beat to hell and back and when I mean beat... duct tape all over the softtop, pieces missing, wiring on the 2.5L hacked to hell! Well over many weekends I got it running and then started upgrades. Phoenix (Rose from the ashes) now is rolling on some 31's (going 35's soon), Stock D30 and D35 axles with Aussie Lockers 4.88 gears, and molly axles, 4" lift, rock bumpers front and rear with tire carrier in the rear and an Apex 12000 winch (BTW works great and has never failed me yet). It's not a rock crawler beast like a lot of others but three things #1 BUILT NOT BOUGHT! #2 She can cruise the interstate at 70 and I only need one hand on the steering wheel! #3 She's built the way I want it, mild trail/mountian rig (lots of clay and mud herre in Alabama) that will take me exploring when I want! It's not how much you put into it or how fancy it looks but more if it's dependable and gets you where you want to go! I fell in love with the Jeeps at the age of 8 and it took me to the age of 50 to get one! LOL BTW Phoenix is bright Safety Yellow so I say to you GO TEAM YELLOW! Thanks for listening to an old man brag about his rig! JEEP ON! Send IT! and never stop taking it for a RIP!

I named my yellow Jeep Puma. I had that same rattle in my TJ. It was the rear shock bushings. Hope to see ya around the Hills.

The only rig that I know of that is 4 wheel drive and has 5 on 4.75 bolt pattern is the chevy S10 and gmc S15 jimmy. I am a jeep nut but will wheel anything for the right price. Like most mechanics and fabricators, I have a plethora of projects and parts rigs.

That was my instant thought as well but I knew if i blurted that out on video some keyboard warrior would find a random jeep in history that had 5 on 4.75 bolt pattern hahaha

The Jeep looks WAY better. It’s found a good home. There’s something about a 2 door Jeep. (That’s why I own one) And S. Dakota is beautiful. I’ve only been there once, but I’d love to go back soon.
