Perfectly reasonable price. Charging a little extra is an incentive for you to stop your weekend and go out to work, without it why would you bother?

£150 plus VAT seems reasonable, you’re a business at the end of the day.

We think so, people have mixed opinions regarding Callout charges

@@brightsparkmid No one’s holding a gun to their heads, if they’re not happy with the price, they can find someone else. They want you to prioritise them and their needs but argue over cost.

It's your Saturday night, that was a very reasonable price indeed. I can't stand how people complain about these things, what you did was essential and could have been a very dangerous situation had you not dealt with it. Why is it ok for lawyers or solicitors to charge £400 for writing a bleeding letter but you get blasted for making a living doing something very important also?
@BillyGold0072 ай бұрын
That seems like a fair price.

It’s such a mixed thing when it comes to callout chargers.

It makes my blood boil that we have all these regs for safety but we can’t mandate isolation switches to keep electricians safe. Luckily my mum and dad’s smart meter install had one fitted by the chap doing it but it should be done on every smart meter install.

Can’t understand why there needs to be a board change. I would have put a new main switch and new busbar. Lot cheaper.

@@brightsparkmidwell just replace faulty parts. No need for cu change then.

@kloddi25 no RCD on some circuits. We will be last in there, it’s never had a test, so it was board change or get someone else, they went with the safer option, House fully tested, 2 open rings, low IR on the lighting due to a crushed cable, no bonding to the gas, all rectified and good to go
