Did I Sell my GT350 or M2 Competition? **ONE HAD TO GO!

In today's video we find out if I sold my 2017 Shelby GT350 or my 2020 BMW M2 Competition. A lot went into this decision, but with the recent addition of my 2020 Shelby GT350R, one of these vehicles had to go!

As a Mustang guy, of course you made the right decision! Just need to have room in the back seat for your copilot(s) until they are old enough to be in the front! My kids enjoyed riding in my 87. Not so much my 16 as they are all 20+ now! 😂

I bet you made the right decision. Ive never driven either the m2 comp or the gt350 or gt350r. I do have a 2012 boss 302 and I love every body line and most importantly as you mentioned, the start up of my boss will never get old. The V8 sound is just great. The M2 was pretty cool though, no denying that.

You can change the setup in steering feedback on the M2C to different specs i.e. an M2 CS or even an M3. Cheap mod for what it's worth. Also, the rarity factor will swing in favour of the M2 over time so you made the right choice for you but my choice would have been the opposite. Best of luck.

Enjoyed your track video with your M2comp. If you get more experience you will learn that the m2, properly driven, will thrash the Mustang. I’ve had both, and the Mustang is for burnouts at car shows, the m2 is for racing.

First of, thanks for the video and info! Regarding these cars, that's exactly what I thought when was deciding between M2C and GT350. I test drove M2C and like the car except steering. The steering on M2C(actually on all M class) is numb and don't provide good feedback like GT350. I purchased GT350 in 2019 and glad I did. IMO the last great BMW M was M3 E92. After that all M cars are just good sport family sedans.

I understand dropping the M2. Coming from C63’s and M3’s for the last 10 years the GT350 makes up for all its stupid quality issues once you hit the start button.

I told the guys at Shelby American that I was waffling between an M2C or a GT350R (I bought the R) and they thought I was crazy because "those are completely different cars" - I'm glad I'm not the only one who had these on my short list :-)

They are different but very alike in the value they pack at their price points. I’m glad I owned the M2C, but it honestly made me appreciate the GT350 and GT350R even more.

I was amaze when I saw and especially when I hear the GT350 in someone garage back 4-5 years ago. I could not afford to buy one back then but now 5 years later I'm seriously consider one. If you had to buy a second hand GT350, which year would you buy and what is your favorite color ?

The resale on the M2 makes it easy decision. I bet the massive front tires on the GT contribute to the steering feel/tramlining

Yeah, very true, getting $3,500 more than I paid made it much easier to let go haha.

Will the GT350 turn into a GT500 at some point? Do you plan on putting miles on the 350R or keeping it collector/mint? What are your thoughts on the GT350 motor issues?

I have confidence in the Gen II which is why I wanted a 19/20 in the R. My 17 hasn’t burned a drop of oil since the engine was replaced and it’s had all of the track time on the new engine. I’m starting to warm up to the fact that my next car will likely be an automatic with the way things are moving in the industry, but I don’t see parting with either of my GT350s which will always satisfy the urge for something more engaging and raw. If I sold the blue 350 a 500 could make it’s way in, but I’m looking toward 2023 and adding an S650 GT to experiment with!

You made the right decision. I have a M2 Comp. GT350 sound and drives better on the track. If you only had one car to drive then M2 Comp would be the better choice.

The gt350 is just a beautiful car that sounds good and drives perfect the voodo and tremec just make a perfect combination, thats what made me fall in love with mine😁

My friend has an M2 and I just got an R and he followed me home(30mi interstate) from a get together and he said it was the most fun he's had listening to my car and seeing other peoples reactions ! You know what I think about your decision :) however he daily drives his and that car might be the better choice for that ! Visually not even close and Rarity I know you weren't selling an R but still they didn't make a Ford vs BMW movie ! I was buying a 350 and I just couldn't stop looking at the R with lust !

I sat in a M2 Competition and I hated the shifter feel..the more I was around it the more I didn't like it..GT350 is waaayyyyyy better...Only new car born with a SOUL..👍🏽

Sounds to good to sell, I will keep my 2019 GT350 as long as I can. I have 3800miles on itn now bought new in Germany thru the PX

Car speculate much? Let's be honest, ya got the R because of its future rarity and appreciation. If you hard track the R, I'll be very surprised. BTW I own a '19 GT350 that I track heavily.
