Before even watching I'd say yes because the paint is already damaged in the rolls

Yeah RAM just pushes them out so quick and they crash around before they get packaged. It's understandable as most of the collector coins are the C mint marks

Good point regarding these third party coins Dan. I tend to avoid coins from Downies. Appreciate you sharing the video. Cheers and happy coin collecting 😊✌🏻

For general information, the purple poppy premium coin rolls have a limit of 15,000. I had to search for a few websites to find out just how many rolls they made for this particular coin. Another great video mate, cheers.

Apples and oranges my friend. No one is buying the Downies carded coin thinking it's a top tier example. We know that these coins were intended for circulation. The carded coins do tend to hold their own on the secondary market. As for the design on the card itself, the purple poppy is the symbol of remembrance for all service animals, not just a horse, pigeon, dog, cat, donkey, etc. Canaries were used in the shafts by tunnellers in the first world war. There is no way to conceivably have every animal species that served in war for the multitude of different purposes represented on the card, hence the purple poppies. They represent all war animals, just as the red poppy represents all of our soldiers. In my opinion certainly not a 'hit and miss', though each to their own.

Hey Dan , personally I was completely neutral with the purple poopy . On another note , did you end up securing yourself the silver proof bluey pcn ?
@DantheCollectingMan19 күн бұрын
I didn’t get the any bluey coins. It was just too hard. Dan

I have only recently started my collecting journey and have been purchasing the card version UC coins from downies 50c, $1 and $2 and have noticed the quality on some are quite bad for what is meant to be a UC coin presneted in a card for collectors. Do you have any other recommendations of companys to buy coins presented in cards ?

M.R.Roberts or Thompson Coins are the two I would recommend. Thanks Dan

Hi dan what do you think of the Remembrance Day Animals in War Limited-Edition Postal Numismatic Cover (PNC) I got one to go with the c mint mark and the silver proof war animals, do you think $60 is to much because it only seems to be the stamps I guess. Due to the other PNC war animal was much cheaper.

From what I've seen the quality of the coins are very good. Better than the rolls and bagged non c mint coin. I have two coming.
@jasonaus-dj2id21 күн бұрын
@@robstewart3948 Well that would be a good bonus. well shouldn't take as long as the Royal Australian Mint to have them in our hands to find out. 👍
@robstewart394821 күн бұрын
@jasonaus-dj2id hahahaha yes they are abysmal at their mailing process. But I've recently got all the new releases on ballot (the silver proof year of snake and kangaroo) and the actually have all on same invoice and delivery cost in one. So they've got better there.
@jasonaus-dj2id21 күн бұрын
@@robstewart3948 Yes i will give them that.

Is every coin in a roll a Purple Poppy coin?
@robstewart394821 күн бұрын
@spdesigns12 if you buy the purple poppy roll yes they are all non c mint coins, but the quality is quite bad.
@DantheCollectingMan6 күн бұрын
Yes it is 👍

It is the Royal Australian Mint not the Royal Mint.

Every carded version has a different centre Axel structure. Terrible. Scratches on coin. No paint. Almost a criminal enterprise.

It’s definitely not great. And not good for new collectors. Thanks for watching. Dan

Its a design meant to fail unfortunately

Totally agree, it’s a shame they don’t design them so that the paint doesn’t rub on other coins
