There is definitely more. Andrew wouldn't let Emma or Lizzie get married, and it also angered them that he changed the will so that ( I think) if he died first then Abby would've inherited everything. Also the fact that Andrew bought a house that wasn't near the other Bordens, and that he spent money on a house for Abby's sister but didn't really do anything for his children. Andrew also supposedly murdered Lizzie's pigeons with a hatchet, as well. Personally I think John Morse did it but there's a lot of information and motives involved but it's all over the place.

Here’s my theory: She killed the stepmom. Then realized she had a lot of blood on her dress, took it off and burned it. Still no dress on. By the time the dress had fully burned she went and killed her dad in her undergarments. Took the hatchet apart, maybe also burned the handle alongside the dress, and hid the metal part of it in the attic. Then she put on a fresh dress and went screaming to get the neighbors. She knew the police would leave her alone if she blamed any blood on her underclothes on her period, bc not only is that believable, but also old timey men are gonna be old timey men.
@erinkiker21562 жыл бұрын
It was described as a tiny or minute speck on just her underskirt, though, so I don’t really buy that. Bludgeoning produces a lot of blood, and it should have been all over the front of her undergarments at that point.

@@samanthabotelho7164 What about the story that her father had killed her pet pigeons? Do you think there's anything to that one?
@nikkiej.58754 жыл бұрын
I've always believed that Lizzie Borden was responsible and she killed her parents. She seems to be the only person who could've done it. Abby had way more blows to the face than Andrew and that shows someone had a huge hatred for her which was Lizzie. It's very weird that she decided to burn a dress that supposedly had paint on it. I think she burned it because the paint was actually blood and she was getting rid of the evidence. One of the main theories on how Lizzie could've killed her parents is she was in the nude which would explain why no blood was ever found on her clothing, except for that blood spot found inside her clothing. I saw a movie where they used this theory to act out what could've happened and how it was done. The movie wasn't very good but it was still interesting to see how she could've committed the murder. She definitely had a motive where she could've killed them because she wanted the money to buy her dream home.
@dorkmyride4 жыл бұрын
I agree. I think the Netflix special also followed the theory that Lizzie may have been naked during the murders. I've watched so many Lizzie Borden docs though, I could be thinking of a totally different portrayal lol.
@nikkiej.58754 жыл бұрын
@@dorkmyride I think it's the only way she could've killed her parents without getting blood on her. There's also another theory that Maggie could've killed the parents alongside Lizzie. In the movie, Maggie and Lizzie were going to kill Andrew and Abby together and both of them were also in the nude. Maggie was supposed to kill Andrew but Maggie chickened out and couldn't do it so Lizzie ended up killing both of them.
@livmaddie81104 жыл бұрын
First, I love your profile pic. Second, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Lizzie. She seems like the only one who really had a motive, since she hated her step mom. And if you really think about it, back then they had to wear corsets and those would be harder to get out of super quick after a murder so she probably did it naked and took a bath after
@nikkiej.58754 жыл бұрын
@@livmaddie8110 Thanks! 😁 Yes, I totally agree. She's the only logical person who could've committed these crimes. She was the only one who had a strong hatred for Abby apart from Emma. She disliked her too but not to the point where she would commit murder, I think. Lizzie on the other hand one of two motives. She strongly believes she and Emma deserved to live in a better lavish home than the one they were living in which was actually crap even though it was his money. I totally understand why he didn't spend lavishly and brag at his wealth. But at the same time, it was a little much. They still could've lived in a nicer home that wasn't a mansion.
@TheRealMikuFan4 жыл бұрын
Since it was such a violent crime doesn't it seem like there is some back story were missing. It makes me feel like something was happening to Lizzie behind closed doors that may have mentally pushed her over the edge. Seems to me like there is some serious anger behind this crime.

Yeah, this is one of the stories on here that feels most incomplete. Someone who kills for greed doesn't violently bludgeon someone to death THAT many times. It takes some severe hatred, anger, and energy to go that far. Seems like we'll never know exactly what happened I guess.

@anna40402 жыл бұрын
@@leslieanne9311 John Morse didn't like Andrew that much because Andrew wasn't letting Emma and Lizzie get married, and he probably had mixed feelings about Abby because Lizzie's mother, Sarah, was his sister, and Abby getting put into Sarah's old place may have felt weird. Maybe it’s just me thinking this, but I honestly don’t think the murders were committed just because she wanted to live a better life. There seemed to be some real rage behind the murders. And that’s why I think there was abuse of some sort going on there. If he was abusing his children, I don’t blame her for acting the way she did 🤷🏻♀️ especially if the step mom was an enabler
@ryansolstice24973 жыл бұрын

I feel like she did kill them but only to get away from them, maybe the abuse speculations were true. Probably because she thought that was her only way out but who knows 🤷♀️ what do you guys think?

I agree, the taking care of the grave and not defending herself seems like there was a breaking point when she just felt like she had to kill them . That was a theory in the movie. I doubt it was true considering she burned a dress.

Yeah the one I heard was that she killed one in her dress and the other naked or something. Maybe the sister helped so one was naked and one was wearing the dress? Who knows but i DO believe there was something messed up going on it that house to make her kill.

i actually went to the house over the summer with my friend and in bridget’s room i felt something grab my leg and absolutely could not breathe in it, it was like bad energy. in our room (lizzie and emma suite) we both felt a heavy pushing on our chests 30-40min apart, my charger completely shot out of the wall no sparks or anything, my friend’s phone died around 3 times in 2 hours. i def recommend it its really cool learning abt the case.

It’s rumored she killed them naked. There’s a movie I watched as a kid that starred Elizabeth Montgomery and that was the theory then.

In that case, she might have just twitched her nose to remove the blood from her clothes when she killed them.

Elizabeth Montgomery was SO good in that movie...she nailed it!

There was a folded coat under Andrews head. 1 theory was she wore the coat to protect her dress, did the murders then put it there ,as it was bloodsoaked.

Weird. I mean it's already weird to murder someone, but to do it naked?

But then she’d have to shower and dress herself without getting blood anywhere else. Idk how she could have done it
