Did Marcy's Journal RUIN Amphibia?

In my honest opinion, I don't think that the last paragraph of Marcy's journal ruins the ending of Amphibia. It does leave the story open-ended without necessarily continuing the series of Amphibia. It does still tie into Anne's last words of the series and I would be okay if the series ended with Marcy's journal or just has a series or movie continuation. Marcy's journal has already given me the Amphibia content that I needed after the series finale. I can wait for a while for any new Amphibia content.

i think it's only to leave a something open so that IF Disney let's Matt do something (sequel series,movie,ecc) in the distant future he can pick it up from somewhere

I think you’re completely wrong. The book clearly ended this way to tease a spin-off of some sort, but I highly doubt anything is coming until next year. It’s been 10 months since the finale, and no announcements for anything. The biggest thing was Matt Braly saying he wanted to do a time travel movie with the new continent storyline on an interview by Cartoon Universe that came out like a week after the finale. They clearly just wanted to leave it open for a sequel like they do with so many other shows. Animation takes time. The earliest we’re probably seeing this is 2024, two years after the finale aired.

I personally say no it didn’t, if anything it helped to make the perspective of the show and world feel bigger because we can understand and relate to these characters more. Now that we have more context of the world of Amphibia we can Charisse the world it comes from even more then before. Like what gravity falls did with Journal number 3. It didn’t ruin the shows ending. If anything, it makes re watching it better because now you can better understand what happened, understand more why Marcy did what she did, and overall just enjoy the presents of these characters more now that we have more to know about them

While I absolutely understand where you're coming from, I think the point of that final tease was less about setting up an immediate return, and more about leaving the story open ended. One of the few major criticisms many had of the end was that it just felt... TOO final. Some people, like myself, felt like we lacked the necessary closure to _fully_ say goodbye to the characters, knowing all these relationships we spent so long getting invested in would never be able to continue. I was admittedly kinda bitter when I saw the ending, but now, I can go back and see the ending with peace of mind 😌 Anywho, this was still a good video. I'm sure that if Amphibia ever continues (be it in the form of spinoffs, movies, comics, or shorts), the creators will do their utmost to handle it with care.

maybe they will go back to amphibia but wont stay there forever because for some reason the portal has to close so they get sent back to earth but still end of going to amphibia so like there wont be a way to travel between realms after the portal closes

For me, meh, not that much. It’s pretty vague on what it could lead up to. At most it gives enough leeway for whenever Disney decides to green-lit some form of Amphibia continuation, as Matt has stated that he’s got ideas for a movie. Or give fanfic writers some fuel to make their own continuation. For me, there’s nothing wrong with continuing a wrapped up story, just as long as the writing is good for it.

honestly this was a very nice short video. The fact that you straight up don't want more amphibia content, at least not soon, is literally the premise of the show and I highly agree, the ending was amazing.

Answer to clickbait title: no Answer to the video: still no but I have an explanation What XPool said at 4:00 could absolutely work, but only if Braly does one thing: make the Sprig and Polly spin-off. Matt has actually gone on record saying he wants to make a spin-off movie feat. these two lovable frogs going back in time to meet the Plantar dynasty. I think if Matt does this before the return to Amphibia, it wouldnt feel rushed to come back to this universe that we all love.

I disagree. I want more content cuz that ending gave me depression and the only way to cure it is to give me more amphibia Also make sashannearcy canon already !
