Sonic Adventure: Dreams Edition is also pretty solid. It's very Unleashed inspired with small hub worlds and collectible medals needed to unlock the action stages, but half of those stages give you a more Adventure based moveset with the spindash instead. And you can also switch between the two control styles in the overworld hubs. I think most of the level design is original, but there's an almost 1:1 City Escape remake thrown in the middle so maybe I'm just forgetting some source material.

I don't agree with what you said about the Amy changes. Yeah its pointless but its nothing to get mad about. Amy punching Knuckles wasn't even funny to me. Its just a change. Sonic Generations and Sonic Adventure 2 are comfort food, but Shadow Generations is like the exact opposite. It's tense, exciting and it's an amazing return to form.
