Halo Reach Alternate Ending: Noble 6 kills all the elites and escapes with Armor Lock equipped. The Covenant glass Reach and Noble 6 uses his Armor Lock at the right time. Noble 6 tries to fix a destroyed ship as an attempt to escape Reach. He doesn't fix the ship, but he does send a beacon and goes into a cryochamber, just like Master Chief did at the end of Halo 3. Noble 6 becomes a main character in Halo 6. Most of the Halo Fans are happy. *Most of them.*

Little idea on how he shows up 117 was stuck, his shields down, and surrounded by Elites, and grunts, he was out of ammo, and had no chance, then they started screaming, running, and firing at something, no someone, a man in armor, he was wearing older armor, and was missing his helmet, instead wearing a cloth, he ran over and helped 117 up, his weapon was a plasma pistol, and his face hidden, he motioned to the exit, and he would leave with 117, when taken back they found who it was....Noble 6...He was alive and he had survived off something no one had expected anyone to eat, the flesh of grunts and elites, Noble 6 would start to befriend 117, and would help 117(Think of Noble 6 as a sort of Arbiter, but in my opinion, better)

you didn't see the swords hit him, and knowing the lone wolf assassin that could take down Elite Bases by himself he is, he could survive, there are underground bases after all, and he could have also went on land that was already glassed, and he has enough ammo because there are tons of bases with guns that are unused that you see all over the campaigns, plus, there is a chance he will come in the story next Halo, there was a talk with the devs about Noble 6 and the writers were also talking about it, and one of them said "It's a possibility, we have been thinking about this for awhile, there are many rumors about him being alive, and that may be true, we did leave a gap on the 'death' because of what you wanted, we did not want to make people sad or mad, so we left a gap in the story, this is your decision" So I am sure that they may have him alive.

This is definitely correct here. It is not easier to make the sword miss in animation. You would animate the sword to hit a precise location. It's not like if you don't need it to hit you can just press a button to have it hit a random location. The location the sword swings is intentional. *spoilers for the book first strike* I'm a bit late to this vid but if you have read "First Strike" Reach wasn't 100% fully cleansed by the covenant, they were excavating for a crystal that they claimed to be something from their gods *forerunners* so they couldn't fully glass the planet this is how Fred, Kelly, and Halsey survived reach. So where 6's helmet is, it's possible that area was not cleansed by the covenant.

While I still think 6 died, I don't think that last scene was lazy animation. If they wanted to be lazy, wouldn't they have just had 6 get stabbed? Kill him, just the death animation left to do, and the Elites and BOOM! done. No, that scene was entirely intentional. 6 was portrayed as this Elite Spartan, this badass Spartan who gave his life to protect Reach. He's efficient, ruthless, and extremely deadly. This last scene only furthers that. Noble 6 didn't die by just laying on the ground in defeat, no he fought, rolled, and kicked back to stay alive. He was by far one of the most resilient Spartans we have seen in this series. He didn't quit. Bungie knew what they were doing when they animated that scene. They capped off his story of trials by fire and death, with a cutscene that showed how courageous he was.

I think you're correct in assuming that Bungie's intention was to have him die and there was simply artistic expression being utilized. HOWEVER, I personally believe that it doesn't matter what Bungie's original intention was - what matters is that the facts present his survival totally and undeniably possible, and with that 343i can canonically use the material left by Bungie to confirm his survival and existence. Here's to hoping that he's alive in Infinite! :D

Besides, the Covenant were glassing the entire area, so there would be very little food and supplies for him to recover from his engagement. jeremy hedrick That's where you're wrong kiddo. I believe in one of the Halo books where they mention Lt. Keyes coming across Grey Team at the Rubble they also include a scene where Lt. Keyes and another person are attacked by rebels. Somewhere in that scene it talks about the area being glassed and chaos happening everywhere, but even if that scene isn't evidence then how about when people of the Rubble were fleeing their planet, the planet was getting glassed. The UNSC didn't help the people of the Rubble, but they survived the glassing. That's more than enough proof that Noble 6 could survive the glassing and possibly escape the planet. Also the ODSTs from Halo 3: ODST. The city got glassed and they were able to escape.

I like to think that Noble 6 did survive, because hypothetically as far as I knew there were only a few elites left out of the Onslaught that was Sent after N6, so if he was able to Overcome those last few Elites I’m sure that Noble 6 despite his injuries managed to find a safe haven in one of the Areas that wasn’t Glassed by The Covenant, It would take time but I’m sure that after some time that ONI would’ve located Noble 6 and reassigned him back onto the Highest Priority Of Missions. *However* if it was indeed the Arbiter Thel ‘Vadam that would’ve landed the Killing Blow then I’m willing to except that Noble 6 died by his Hand. *Just for Fun:* When The Extra cutscene that had Locke asking Arbiter about Chief, Instead have it be Noble 6 who before asking Arbiter anything of Master Chief would be questioned by The Arbiter who would say; *”The UNSC labeled you As KIA Noble.”* N6 would simply reply *”News of my Death was greatly Exaggerated”* A callback to Halseys line in Halo Reach before the Noble team were ordered to Take Cortana to the pillar of Autumn. Basically Halo 5 would play out relatively the same only the Fight between Chief and Noble 6 would be much more fast paced and Exciting mostly because these are the top 2 Hyper Lethal Spartans ever, it would be a grand fight but it would ultimately end with Chief Winning and by the end of the Campaign Noble 6 and Master Chief would reunite and come to terms. Although maybe get rid of some of team Osiris...in fact scrap em in general and only keep the good ones like Buck......and uh..... yeah it’s kinda just Buck that was the only good one, Him and Noble 6 would make a fine Duo, at least until Noble 6 Teams up with Chief, Then that would be where the true fun would begin haha

Why does everyone hate the fact that characters die. Character deaths are one of the main ways that writers can add impact to stories. If one day, Forge, Johnson, Six, and Cortana (oh wait) suddenly came back, wouldn't the emotions that went along with their deaths be taken out? If death doesn't matter in the Halo universe, then not only is the realism and immersion broken, but a lot of the risk and tension is taken out. Cortana is the best example. Who cares about Hao 4's ending if there was no cost, on her part, to her sacrifice. A sacrifice is supposed to be giving something up for another.

Halo 4 is a little non-sequitur to Halo 5, especially considering the fact that the Didact was killed OFF SCREEN IN A COMIC BOOK. Completely and utterly nullifying him as any type of threat whatsoever in the Halo universe, making our final "confrontation" with him totally and utterly meaningless, because nothing was accomplished. I always liked to believe six survived Reach. They never showed him ACTUALLY die. I like how this gives 343 an option to bring him back, maybe even in shadows of Reach. As a kid, I always liked to believe he detonated some grenades on himself and armor locked to kill the elites and escape. Maybe he picked up his helmet, and then tried to use it, but then ditched it. Also his helmet not being completely destroyed by the glassing leads me to believe the covenant missed some areas on Reach. He was always considered a “lone wolf” so I would assume he excels at taking on massive amounts of challenging enemies all on his lonesome, and could survive by himself. I would love to see him return in some way, but I am also fine believing he’s dead.

a) noble 6 is the only other spartan classified as hyper-lethal. so that gives him more story armour than most characters. its easier to say he can get away with more stuff/survive and do certain things. not only that but he was specifically noted as lethal once lone wolf. so him killing all the elites isnt far fetched. its pretty easy to consider. b) the glassing is the only issue, its more than LIKELY that noble 6 survived the elites being a hyper-lethal lone wolf on the same playing field as chief. and consider what he's survived. you need to DROP REALISTIC ANSWERS. i know we do it naturally but this is a story. the writers can make characters live or die no matter what if they really want. and the fact noble's story left off how it is right now. he can be either. they can MAKE him alive and give some reason to why, or just simply say he's dead. there's no point debating it because its up to 343 now. its all down to if they want to continue the legendary spartan who was the only real contestant to chief. but for now we'll just have to wait

I think this about noble six surviving, it is definitely possible. The short hand about the different mountains and areas and the glassing is not something they would do, knowing how much people loved halo at the time they would do everything to keep it consistent. I believe that noble six survived for not only him being a very smart and resourceful spartan right next to master chief, and knowing that he didn’t die in that first battle I believe he lived but they presented it like he died to see if the community liked the character it’s actually quite smart they put those little details they you thought were laziness to show he was alive to those that cared enough to look. I believe that they did it this way to see if the character had positive feedback just like chief and if six was liked they would bring him back in a later game. And to those saying his death made him an legend. He was one before we even played as him he was a spartan sent by oni personally. And this was solidified when he took 6 elites all at the same time managed to put off guard and even disarm highly trained and experienced elites. He managed to kill them all. So if you dint think he is a legend for that and he isn’t a a master chief your standards are to high.

The helmet survived to the 2580s so we know that part of the planet wasn't glassed, and Six is known to be a resourseful Spartan 3 who Dr. Halsey has seen as the best Spartan 3 near the likes of the fucking Master Chief. Heck looking at tropes in writing, never presume death unless the dead body is presented, it could be like IDW 2005 Roadbuster where they survived an expected death, but in Roadbuster's case, he had a mass shifter blow up his head so sonething more realistic would've came to Six but Cryopods are a thing so if they survived then Six could be in Cryosleep with a stockpile of MREs and water in the nearest ONI/UNSC base or fallen ship. Legitimately there is a chance of survival if they wanted to reusethe character

If we include the books as canon on top of the games then we know that there are many underground storage an mining facilities on reach, many of which the spartans known about. If, by chance, that mountain is one such a converted mine that might go kilometers into the crust of the planet and had enough supplies and air scrubbers/comms equipment that might have been his plan. Not a confirmed because if they choose to bring him back they might want it to be a major surprise. But That does make it possible that he survived long enough for rescue.

I like believe Noble Six did survive Reach. With the possible evidence of surviving the stabbing scene. He was injured, gathered what he could and moved location to conduct gorilla style fighting. Along the way, the distress beacon found in some of the armor you the player can equip was triggered. Some Spartans described in the novels were equipped with life support and distress beacon when inflicted with life threatening injures. It’s how Fred from Halo 5 survived the covenant war if I remember correctly. If anyone remained on Reach unofficially was probably ONI personnel who were covering or extracting classified projects and information. In the beginning of Reach, Colonel in charge of Noble Team says he disagrees on using spartan resources with his opposition saying its a waste of noble team. Remaining ONI people would have seen the spartan beacon and approach Noble Six location for safe extraction if possible. The coast was clear they would leave Reach unofficially with an injured Noble Six keeping the Pillar of Autumn as the last official ship to leave Reach. Noble Six would probably be hospitalized during the events of Halo 1. With the lack of resources, the remaining Mark 6 armor went to the master chief when he came back (Halo 1 to start 2) so Noble Six (after hospitalization) would have reverted to other armor. ODST armor was the likely choice since his skills would make sense for an ODST trooper than a basic marine. I like to believe Rookie from Halo 3: ODST is Noble Six with a disguise for it would make sense a new silent guy to ODST is a complete boss in fighting the covenant who knew about the health pack system. Especially makes sense with the Rookie being placed on a ONI lead mission for his first live drop. The rookie’s death could be debated as real or a cover up. Please reply if there’s any holes to this timeline theory.

I think he is still because his past, he was a very deadly assassin, he worked best by himself, and was trained to live off the land, so if he did survive the glassine by reaching an underground base/bunker which is a very high possibility there is the thought that he got stabbed by an energy dagger, but the type of armor 6 was wearing had a gel called biofoam which was activated by the suit to help seal the wound up enough for the spartan to either finish his/her task or to get to safety, and also the amount of pain 6 would have been in would have activated a chemical in the body, adrenaline which is a way for the body to speed up the healing process and and give the person more strength and agility and that could have gave 6 enough time to fight back and get to a med pack and restock and the covanent would have waited until every platoon of soldiers or whatever it's called to get back to a super carrier so they had more than enough power to take down the pillar of autumn which may have bought enough time for 6 to reach a bunker/oni base. But that's just my thoughts

He fought off so many elites in his time, something you didn't mention is when noble six elbows the ultra after he jumps on him, it looks like he kills the ultra because if you look closely, his neck spins around. So that leaves two elites left. And don't forget, there are two swords, a plasma repeater and two plasma rifles lying on the ground. He has killed hundreds maybe thousands of elites, what is stopping him from killing two?

He lost his helmet, meaning his armor isn’t able to delivery maximum power due to the lack of neural interface. This makes it so that he can’t recharge shielding or use the suit’s enhanced mobility.

Skoot Ski Wasn't confirmed that he died. They left a gap there for us to decide for ourselves so let him believe he's alive if he wants. Besides there's nothing wrong with being hopeful.

If you think about it. They talk about a lone wolf. A single person (not man nor woman) just a person who can take down huge covanet camps and such. So 6 knows how to survive and all. Another thing about if he can be in Halo 6, he can be. (Spoiler) when Cortana big ship took off in Halo 5 at the end, there is a possibility 6 may come back to help chief. Both who would technically being the last two first gen Spartans alive... hopefully. And one more theory. Everyone knows the theory of chief having somewhat of the genes of the Reclaimer. And in the story of the Reclaimed his DNA(Seed) spread out through (What looked like it) Earth. What if both Chief and 6 are connected to the Reclaimer, that's why they are so tough and can adapt quickly? And they two are the only ones who can probably stop the Forerunners? Just a thought.... I like the whole thought of your theory. And it would be cool if 6 had Forerunner Ancestry like John. Buuut I'm pretty sure that in Halo 4 it was said, in game, that John was the singular recreation of "the Forerunners" per se. It's not unlikely that Noble 6 just happened to be a total badass that rarely comes from the human genes, as far as warriors go. And sadly, neither John nor Noble 6 are first gen Spartans. John is a gen 2 and 6 is a gen 3. The only longest surviving gen 1 Spartan there was (I'm pretty sure at least), was Sgt Johnson. And unlike all of his other gen 1 buddies, he was the only one that didn't succumb their inevitable and total mental breakdowns they were bound to deal with that would leave them all quite literally going insane. He just got lucky enough to be killed of by the floaty orb boi 343 before he too succumbed to that fate. I hope I didn't sound rude to you in any of this haha. However, seeing Noble 6 pair up with John 117 would be some pure awesomeness that I'd LOVE to see!

Hey you always say you want a marine spinoff, just think, Nobel six survived and settled down on a colony planet, the covenant attack the planet and has to defend himself with an old magnum he had from reach, it is old and worn, it also bears the noble team logo. It ends pun he is one of only hundreds that survived, the UNSC eventually comes to evacuate all survivors. Six has been hidden all this time and the troops recognize the logo on his magnum and find out who he is. He is brought back to earth and is called a hero, I don't know what do you think. Ulysses Not accurate due to his helmet still being intact and his armor missing foreshadowing that he escaped and is probably in cryp in a ONI facility. Halsey would never truly know that he was dead his was just an educated guess.

The mountain is Castle base from the fall of reach and first strike books. This area is the site of an excavation for an artifact that dr. Halsey and Fred's team found and stole. That's why that area is not glassed. And a popular theory is that an Arbiter is the final elite in the scene. But that would mean that noble 6 killed this Arbiter becuase there is no Arbiter in the beginning of Halo 2. I kinda hope you see this comment because i am a big fan of these books and they are halo cannon.

officer Sweetchuck He’s most likely alive and in Cryo sleep in a secret ONI facility. Halsey said his body and his armor burned into glass but we saw his helmet fully intact and his armor nowhere to be seen so he is still alive.
